65th Anniversary Committee Meeting Notes

Expect about 70 people to show up

65th Anniversary schedule (tentative)
Monday, December 6, 2004
5:30: Show up and prepare for event
6:00pm: Re-enact the initiation ceremony at Spartan Memorial, led by Region 10 director Kevin Simpson
7:30: Tour campus, find our A Phi O brick in the fountain, Visit out BBQ pits, take photos.
8:00: Set up the Pacifica Room in the Student Union
8:10: Go to the Pacifica Room to eat, chat, look at exhibits (time capsule, scrapbook, poster timeline)
8:45: Alumni Secretary makes speech. Historian plays a video documentary
9:10: Socialize and catch up (use MOSAIC if available)
9:45: closing, toast song
10:00: End

We are unable to obtain funding from the MOSAIC because that money was used for F.O.Y. I should have listed to Phi and completed the A.S. form. Now Spartan Shops is out of our reach. We will have to bring our own food, with approval with Spartan Shops. Most of our food will come from Costco.

There is no need to borrow tables for the Pacifica Room because there already 2.
A TV is already there in the back center of the room. However, we need to bring our own DVD player and plug it in the TV.
The MOSAIC has another group meeting on Mondays. I asked a MOSAIC representative to ask that group if they could use the Guadalupe Room on Monday, December 6 because it is available.
The reason why we need the MOSAIC as well is because an organization cannot occupy more than one room in the Student Union at the same time and the Guadalup Room can only fit 40-50 people. The MOSAIC is independantly operated, so it is possible for us to use the Pacifica Room and MOSAIC at the same time, pending the other group approving the relocation. I will talk to Huy to see if he can persuade that other group to relocate on that day.

The 65th Anniversary committee needs to arrange a meeting with Kenneth Cheung, Sharon, Mike Huen, Nyram Tiv together to work on the program

I will send Ajay and the rest of the committee the budget and these notes
