Several times over the years I have seen spectacular sunsets in Sacramento when I have been without my camera (a horrible position for a photographer to be in). On this day (only two days ago now) I was photographing a rugby team that practices in the park behind my house when I noticed some wonderful things happening to the sky. After a couple of minutes of simply looking, I tossed my gear in my truck and flew from my neighborhood in the burbs to downtown. Such was my excitement that I actually ran from my parking spot to my first shooting location and from location to location thereafter. I didn't know how long this spectacular display was going to last, but I was determined to make the most of it.
