A girl planning to start a punk band invites Hyde to accompany her to New York City; Kitty tutors Jackie in home ec; Kelso adjusts Red's Pong game.

Hyde's mother abandons him; Kelso sees Jackie in an unflattering light; Bob flirts with a member of his wife's feminist group.

 

#24 Grandma's Dead (Jul 12, 1999)

Immediately after Eric suggests to his grandmother that it wouldn't kill her to be nice, she dies, prompting different coping techniques within the Forman family.

Houseguest Hyde becomes the perfect son, casting a dim light on Eric; Red sees his life pale in comparison to that of his service buddy.

#26 Garage Sale (Sept 28, 1999)

Where allusions to the kids' pot smoking caused a mild controversy, this episode puts the parents under the influence. Now residing with the Formans, Hyde is compelled to contribute something when the family has a garage sale. Kitty suggests "a little bake sale...with cookies or brownies." Brownies? Hyde the baker adds a "special ingredient" to one batch, which winds up with Donna's and Eric's parents. That's followed by a case of the giggles among Don, Midge, Kitty and Red - who sells Eric's car, and can't recall to whom.

 

#27 Red's Last Day (Oct 5, 1999)

After Red's last day at the plant, Eric, Hyde and Fez join him and his peers for drinks; Kelso breaks in his new van - but not with Jackie. Paul Anka and Lyle Waggoner have cameos.

 

#28 The Velvet Rope (Oct 12, 1999)

While Jackie gives Kelso a "glam" look, Eric, Kelso and Fez try to impress a bouncer in order to join Donna in a hot new club. Meanwhile, Red goes job hunting.

 

#29 Laurie and the Professor (Oct 19, 1999)

Eric gets dirt on Laurie via her former professor; Hyde seeks space away from Eric; Donna's parents bicker through her.

 

#30 Halloween (Oct 26, 1999)

A Halloween-night visit to the gang's old, arson-torched grammar school brings some startling revelations. For starters, a ghostly rumor and a loud noise show Kelso to be less than heroic. Then, Donna and Jackie stumble across their files. The biggest is Hyde's, and it notes the incident that branded him as a bad apple - an act to which Eric now confesses. "You ruined my life, Forman," says the "born troublemaker." Other tidbits, including Jackie's middle name, spark strife and accusations among the madding crowd. Meanwhile, a flashback shows the Halloween night when Kitty told Red she was pregnant.

 

#31 Vanstock (Nov 2, 1999)

After Jackie declines, Kelso invites Laurie to a festival, which doesn't escape Donna, but better miss Jackie, for Kelso's sake.

 

#32 I Love Cake (Nov 9, 1999)

Eric is lost for meaningful words after hearing those three little ones from Donna, whose dad leaves home and moves in with the Formans.

 

#33 Sleepover (Nov 16, 1999)

Donna sneaks in and spends the night with Eric, who's teased because "it" doesn't happen. Also, Hyde gets a job, leaving little time for Fez.

 

#34 Eric Gets Suspended (Nov 30, 1999)

Melissa Joan Hart guest stars in this smokin' episode, in which Eric is suspended after getting caught with a cigarette at school. But the butt really belongs to Donna, who's rebelling against her parents, who are more concerned with their social lives than with her. Red's punishment for Eric prompts sister Laurie to remark "this is, like, the best day ever." Meanwhile, Fez and Hyde go on a double blind date, with Hyde negotiating for the blonde- and coming to regret it. And Kelso learns about sacrifice when Jackie wants to put her stuffed animals (including Llama Cass) in his van.

 

#35 Red's Birthday (Dec 7, 1999)

Red's birthday is celebrated by Bob and Midge - and their dates; Donna confides in Hyde, but not Eric.

 

#36 Laurie Moves Out (Dec 14, 1999)

Eric's joy and Red's stress over Laurie's moving in with another girl both increase when they meet her roommate - Mike. And, Kelso tries to explain to Jackie how his shirt got in Laurie's old room.

 

#37 Eric's Stash (Jan 11, 2000)

Eric's secret stash of cash is missing, and the only secret is that everyone knew where it was; Kelso coaches Jackie for a beauty pageant, with his own interests at heart.

 

#38 Hunting (Jan 18, 2000)

Red and Eric try to bond on a hunting trip with the guys, while the women back home play a friendly game of poker instead of discussing Donna and Eric.

 

#39 Red's New Job (Feb 1, 2000)

Red seeks a supervisory position at a new store, but is offered one as a supervisee; Laurie threatens Kelso when he declines to expand their relationship.

 

#40 Burning Down the House (Feb 7, 2000)

Jackie's plans for a classy dinner become crass thanks to Kelso's liberal guest policy; Red sees Bob without a vital accoutrement.

 

#41 The First Time (Feb 14, 2000)

Bob and Midge renew their wedding vows, with Donna writing the words and Red as best man. But Kitty is left out, until a bridesmaid gets lost in passion.

 

#42 After Glow (Feb 14, 2000)

Contrary to what she tells Eric, Donna's review of their first sexual encounter is not good - or private; Red celebrates his first paycheck and buys a motorcycle.

 

#43 Kitty and Eric's Night Out (Feb 28, 2000)

Jackie misses Fez's attention when he gets a girlfriend, who passed up Hyde; Eric and Kitty go to a movie together.

 

#44 Parents Find Out (Mar 7, 2000)

Kitty is devastated after the police catch Donna and Eric having sex in the Vista Cruiser.

 

#45 Kiss of Death (Mar 20, 2000)

Eric lies after accidentally running over Donna's cat; Laurie sets Kelso up for a fall; Fez sees "Fez's Angels" while under anesthesia to have his appendix removed.

 

#46 Kelso's Serenade (Mar 27, 2000)

An All in the Family fantasy sequence highlights this episode which finds Eric inadvertently offending Donna, and Kelso offending most everybody as he tries to write a song to win Jackie back. His creative struggle brings about some hideous rhymes, while Jackie spends time with - of all people - Hyde. Meanwhile, Eric's choice of a night with the guys over spending time with Donna prompts her to picture them married, with Eric as a self-centered Archie Bunker and herself as the neglected Edith. Red and Fez offer Eric counsel after things come to a head. In another plotline, Kitty drags the family to visit elderly, disagreeable Aunt Pearl, who couldn't care less.

 

#47 Jackie Moves On (Apr 3, 2000)

Fez finally has a date with Jackie, but not the same Jackie he's coveted; Eric and Laurie have a war of embarrassing secrets; and Kitty reveals her secret about Red's mother's necklace.

 

#48 Holy Crap (May 1, 2000)

Kitty calls on a divine power, of sorts, when Eric and Laurie forsake going to church; Kelso's budding beard stirs Jackie.

 

#49 Red Fired Up (May 8, 2000)

Eric appreciates another employee who draws Red's ire away from himself; Kelso and Laurie date openly, and receive separate cautions from Hyde and Kitty.

 

#50 Cat Fight Club (May 15, 2000)

Hyde helps Jackie take a Zen approach to Kelso and Laurie, who introduce their relationship to Red at the Forman dinner table.

#52 Reefer Madness (Oct 3, 2000)

In the third-season opener of That '70s Show, Red fantasizes a parody of the '30s cult classic Reefer Madness; as he prepares to punish Hyde, who's taking the rap for Jackie's stash of pot. Hyde's boss, Leo, comes forward to request leniency.

 

#53 Red Sees Red (Oct 10, 2000)

Shirley Jones and Charo have cameos in a fantasy sequence in this comic turn on tough love. As the episode opens, Red has grounded Eric and Hyde after learning they've smoked pot. The restriction also extends to Laurie, so, says Eric, "There's an upside to this. " Kitty thinks that Red is being too strict, but her protestations fall on deaf ears as Red is convinced this is "good parenting. " As a prison-like pall comes over the house, Kitty imagines a happier, Brady Bunch-style scenario in which the Formans host their own variety show. But Kitty's fantasy falls flat when the boys decide to run away and become Partridges with guest star Shirley Jones.

 

#54 Hyde's Father (Oct 17, 2000)

Kitty tries to mend things between Hyde and his estranged father; Eric's girlie magazines disturb Donna.

 

#55 Too Old to Trick or Treat, Too Young to Die (Oct 31, 2000)

The Master of Suspense is spoofed in this cleverly written Halloween episode. It all starts with Eric's Vertigo; after Fez (clad in provocative Rocky Horror Picture Show garb) takes a foolhardy fall from the Forman roof. From the Rear Window in Eric's bedroom, the injured Fez spies neighbor Bob mysteriously toting garbage bags and concludes that Bob's wife, Midge, is in them. Meanwhile, Laurie comes from a disturbing encounter with The Birds; next door and turns Psycho; when she finds Kelso in her shower as he washes off a North by Northwest; experience resulting from mistaken identity.

 

#56 Roller Disco (Nov 14, 2000)

Fez joins Jackie for a roller-disco contest; Red struggles with his temper when an ex-employee sues for wrongful termination.

 

#57 Eric's Panties (Nov 21, 2000)

Eric gets a come-on from his comely lab partner, but Donna doesn't seem to mind their time together.

 

#58 Baby Fever (Nov 28, 2000)

An infant stirs fear in baby-sitter Laurie, want in Kitty, and dissension between Donna and Eric over their future together.

 

#59 Jackie Bags Hyde (Dec 12, 2000)

Jackie flirts with another guy to see if Hyde gets jealous; Red and Bob host competing Veterans Day barbecues, each with a different motive.

 

#60 Hyde's Christmas Rager (Dec 19, 2000)

Hyde's father allows a kegger, and Eric comes home drunk; Laurie befriends Jackie and Donna, mostly for transportation.

Eric and Red resort to a drastic measure after forgetting Kitty's birthday; being Jackie's friend takes an odd turn for Kelso.

#76 It's a Wonderful Life (Sept 25, 2001)

A spoof of It's a Wonderful Life opens the fourth season. Eric, morose over his breakup with Donna, states, "I wish we'd never kissed." The words are barely out of his mouth when an angel appears and shows him how things would have turned out if Hyde got the kiss instead, had his own romance with Donna and had never moved in with the Formans. The angel then takes Eric into the '80s, where Kelso is a small-time — but well-coiffed — TV-news anchor; Jackie is a globe-trotting flight attendant; and Eric is still with his high-school prom date, an untamable shrew.

 

#77 Eric’s Depression (Sept 26, 2001)

Eric's so depressed over the break-up with Donna that he spends all his time curled up in bed. Neither his parents' nor his friends' efforts succeed in cheering him up.

 

#78 Pinciotti vs. Foreman (Oct 2, 2001)

Both still hurting from their break-up, Eric and Donna fight over "custody" of their friends. And when Red starts spending time with Pastor Dave, Kitty hopes he won't do anything to ruin this new friendship.

 

#79 Hyde gets a girl (Oct 9, 2001)

Hoping to curb Hyde's cynicism about romance, Eric and Fez throw a party to find him a girlfriend. Also, Kelso tries to win a van in a "hands on" contest.

 

#80 Bye Bye Basement (Oct 16, 2001)

Kitty decides to redo the basement, with Leo's cousin Theo as the contractor; Fez takes ballet classes to meet girls.

 

#81 The Relapse (Nov 6, 2001)

After Donna's mom leaves her dad, Donna turns to Eric for comfort, but he interprets it as much more; Fez goes looking for an older woman.
