My Best Friend
(One I actually wrote myself)

Disclaimer: When I showed this poem to a couple friends of mine I think it made the wrong impression.  So, just incase it does, Morgan you are my best friend in the world, I wrote this poem about someone who I had a completely different kind of friendship with, and in no way meant to make you think otherwise.  I love you Morgan!!!)

We met one day a long time ago
We sat in a class, we sat together forever
I remember who we were then, now I think
What happened to those two dumb kids?

Through the years, it never wavered
You were my sister, you were my best friend
I told you everything, that I could tell no one
You were a part of me, you were a whole piece

Then it happened, it occured, to us
I remember the night, it was raining
In that car, the pain hits, you declared a love
for the one I couldn't let go

So on the wheel went, and on our lives went
We said words, they meant nothing, pointless
Then the words faded, and I'm empty
You're gone, with a piece of who I was, over

Every second I miss you, I think, and I can't breathe, it hits
I see you, on my wall, plastered, the memories
You were my closest ali, my partner in crime, my confidant
You were the sister I chose, the one I needed

I still believe we will be friends forever
I still think it will get better, change
One day again I will share with you, me
Until that day, forever, my best friend
