A month had passed since Jessica had moved in with Nick. Each day was a new adventure of sorts for the two of them as they ventured into new, uncharted territory. Each day brought about an onslaught of new revelations. No matter how much time they spent together, there was always some unknown, intriguing fact about one that fascinated the other. They had become so close now that they were inseparable. They spent every waking hour together.
Now, Jessica lay in the comfort of Nick�s arms, aimlessly tracing patterns on his chest as her mind raced. She thought about Nick and how in such a short time, he had managed to become such an integral part of her life. She also thought about the lonely world of isolation she had lived in before he came along. The feeling of his skin against hers, the sound of his voice and the intensity of his gaze had now become embedded so deeply within her that all the sleepless, tear-filled nights she had endured seemed like an eternity ago. Now as she lay in the peaceful serenity of his embrace, she could barely remember the last night she had spent without him.
�What are you thinking about?� he whispered suddenly in her ear, startling her from her reverie.
�You,� she whispered back, a seductive smile playing upon her lips.
�Me too,� he replied, a smile upon his lips as their eyes met.
As their lips quickly bridged the distance between one another, Jessica let out a soft, contented sigh. Their lips met hungrily in a fury of anxious, but yet somehow tender passion. As she kissed Nick, she knew in her heart that they belonged together. They were as right for each other as two people could possibly be. In her heart, she knew that no matter how many times she fell, he would always be there to catch her. For now and for always.
