You Didn't Tell Me!

With much love and respect for my nation people who suffer in Kosovo. --Blerina Kotori

When I have been a little girl, I was told that the whole world and all that I could see and hear were all of those that can be seen or heard. And I was grown up with something in mind:

"Didn't need to see more..."

But they were lies, lies, lies...

And you didn't tell me you were lying me. You were making on me a bubble-gum-girl so I could bare all your moves, all your words, all your never seen actions. You didn't tell me I was a toy... I learned it in Kosovo.

I am a nation here I am somebody. I have to breathe like others do. I have to walk on my own. But you didn't tell me it was this way. I learned it in Kosovo.

You didn't tell me the world was so small that it was no place for my people.

You didn't tell me life was so short that was no time for my people to live.

You didn't tell me heaven was so abstract that my people could not think of it.

You didn't tell me dreams were so unreal that my people could never see them.

You didn't tell me hope was a liar so my people could not believe in it.

I learned them in Kosovo.

You didn't tell me the blood is so cheap that it can be poured in Coca-Cola bottles.

You didn't tell me the future of a nation is so less important that it can be lost in casino game between states.

You didn't tell me for fear, years, broken-hearts, being dreams. Undo these lies. I learned them in Kosovo. You didn't tell me it was no world the world I imagined.

Don't tell the world, but Me there is a heaven in these earth.
