Miracles I spoke to my feet today; they went where I wanted to go. I thought I'd been to Africa but then my mind awoke. I saw, I sang, I drank my breath, sank back into a slumber. I killed today - as I lay down, curled round a drowsy heat. I didn't feel a thing. You see, the fly was buzzing above my dizzy ear. I saw I could not grieve for what was not in me. I didn't ask forgiveness, for it was not my will. Instead, I watched a shadow crawl across my window sill.
