Miscellaneous | Links

Here are a few savoury buttons for your pushing pleasure. These are either sites that I visit often or things that I find amusing/frightening enough to mention here. If you can't enjoy yourself at my site, you mind as well enjoy yourself at someone else's. Let me know if you would like your site linked or if you have a suggestion, and I'll give it some thought. All links open in the same new window.

Personal Sites
wayless.diaryland.com
I stumbled across his Scribble diary some time ago, and since that time I have become enthralled with his life. I'm not sure why that is, but there is something about the way that he writes in his diary that is..just beautiful. Also check out his creative works at unheimlich.diaryland.com. This guy is good. I only wish I could write even a tenth as well as him.

[email protected]
Matt's site. He updates whenever he feels like it, so check back often.

Rissdemeanour
Riss's new site. She'll be filling it out as time goes by. Some of the pictures she takes are nothing short of amazing.

Portia's Ring at MP3.com
Ryan's band. Check them out at MP3.com.

Cynical Critic
Pat's site. He, being the cynical critic that he is, has decided to hoc his wares, so to speak, on whomever will read. Combining humour with cynicism is a difficult thing to do, and Pat pulls it off with a capital PULL.

Online Comics
penny-arcade.com
Quite possibly the best web comic ever. Updated M/W/F, these guys are my nerdly idols. As far as I've been able to discern, they write an online comic and play video games for a living. If that's not the life, I don't know what is.

shaw-island.com
A web comic created by a university student. And hence slightly more realistic, at least to myself, than PA. It's updated every weekday, and thus provides me with much needed humour when waiting for my beloved PA update.

polymercitychronicles.com
As with PA, the Polymer City Chronicles are updated M/W/F. I think the title of the main page says it all: "Video Games, Big Chicks, Mad Scientists."

dieselsweeties.com
My buddy Matt likes Diesel Sweeties. Myself, I've never been able to get into it. While I do find the occasional comic amusing, as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't deserve a spot in my Links tab along with the likes of PA, PCC or Shaw Island.

Other Links (newer ones at the bottom)
The E-mail Stimulator
I mentioned this before a couple of times, but I'll mention it again here. They found my e-spot, can they find yours?

Deviant Sexual Positions
This page is not for the faint of heart. While I do find quite a few of these amusing, some of them are nothing short of vile. The Halmstad Hook is one that immediately comes to mind. When I say "not for the faint of heart," I'm dead fucking serious. View at your own risk.

Eric Conveys an Emotion
While some of you may not find this site appealing, I do. Some of the emotions Eric has conveyed are quite amusing. I'm not going to tell you which ones I like, that would take far too long. Check it out for yourself.

Lunar Hoax proof
Maybe REM was right. Maybe no one's actually ever been there. Quite frankly, it wouldn't surprise me. I mean, put yourself in the Americans' shoes. You're in the middle of a space race with your sworn enemies, the Russians. Do you seriously believe that they would let the Russians win? The American propaganda machine is a powerful one. Maybe it should actually be referred to as a juggernaut. You get the idea. Sorry to those of you who have slow connections. I realize it's a large picture.

Jeremy Keating, Ph.D
These things are a dime a dozen. Play with the URL to put whatever you want on the trophy.

BMWfilms.com
These are by far the best short films I've ever witnessed. Famous directors, beautiful cars, awesome driving and Clive Owen. Need I say more? Ok. Clive Owen is HOT. Hope that helps.

Irish Cursing Machine
Chose from a variety of items to create that special curse for that special someone. The best way to insult someone is to insult them in a language they don't understand.

Cleaning the Fucking Kitchen for Dummies
Some British guy got pissed off that his flatmates neglected to do their fair share of the dishes. So he made this site. What amuses me the most is this chap's liberal use of the word "fuck" and his referring to dish soap as "fucking washing-up liquid." Good times had by all.

What Flavour Are You?
Take this quick quiz to determine what you taste like. I taste like beef. I would have rather tasted like death, but that's just my morbid side showing again.

Flash Mini Golf
If this isn't the coolest thing ever created with that miserable program Flash, I don't know what is [has since been superceded: see 08.29.02 - ed.]. An excellent way to pass the time.

05.20.02 - Dog vs. Pikachu
As I promised here, the link is now up. You HAVE to check this out, this is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time, perhaps ever.

05.20.02 - Protector of the Smite
I just surfed onto this guy's site from Shaw Island where he submitted some fan art. This guy can DRAW. Holy shit. Some of the drawings and sketches he's created are nothing short of incredible. Do have a look, will you?

07.17.02 - The New Advertisement Campain
Just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder, someone has to go and up the ante. This bullshit leaves me stunned, and I think the fact that they kept up on it makes them prime targets for a big batch of anti-stupid dip.

08.09.02 - Kittens
Heh, funny stuff involving two-week old kittens. So cute, and yet so deadly.

08.29.02 - Ninjai
This has surpassed Flash Golf (above) for the coolest thing done with Flash ever. Watch the Chapters. Some animated violence, so buyer beware.

08.29.02 - Pedestrian Killer
More violence, this time in the form of a car that follows your mouse to run pedestrians over as they try to cross the street. Not too graphic, but kinda fun nonetheless.
