The Icon. Such a name should not be taken lightly, one would assume. Then I look at him and see a joke. He's putting up this farce, this facade of arrogance that he thinks most people will buy into his little game.
Joe looks up from his downward gaze and glares into the camera.
Well I'm not playing. You see Icon, a simple phrase from you was all it took to make me realize something. Why should I retire from some simple losses? It really was ring rust. Because if it wasn't, I would have truely stepped down. I would have taken your abuse and left. But my passion for this business runs too deep. It's not that time yet. Not with cocky assholes like you running your mouths. So it's me and you , sometime down the road, and I'm guessing UWF Solitiare although sooner would be better. It's for the UWF Canadian Championship. I'm not Canadian, but I'll take the belt. So whenever we fight, I'll do just that. And Icon, you will find out who I am, and what I can do.
Joe pauses a moment and continues.
This week I'm back to more or less Burnout duty. I understand, I need to work my way up. I respect that. And I will do so. But this week I fight Billy West. Excuse me, "The Beast" Billy West. If I had a dime for every guy that went under the name of "The Monster", "The Animal" or "The Beast", and then failed to live to that potential, well I'd have a lot of dimes.
He chuckles to himself. He brushes his hair out of his eyes yet again and continues.
So Beast Boy, this is where it's decision time. Do you have what it takes? Not to beat me, because I've shaken off my ring rust and I am going to start steamrolling the competition. Do you have what it takes to move past your upcoming defeat and go to greatness? I can only wish you luck in your future career. Not in my match. You won't need it. The match will be over too quickly and you'll be on your back staring at the lights without any luck required. It's that simple. But hey, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.
Joe gets up and walks towards the door, which was letting the small amount of light in. We only know this because as he leaves the door closes, leaving the camera in darkness.
