We tried Boston Pizza again last weekend.

Good pizza. Check.

Better waitperson. Check.

Shorter time to get food. Check.

No food screw-ups. Check.

Short time to pay and leave. . . Well, the coupon threw off the waitperson and it took a long, long, long time to pay.

Additional kink: We sat outside on the patio. The patio was very nice, but it had rained the night before. The patio was covered wtih a canvas roof covering with two huge design flaws: (1) the canvas is not lower on one side to slant away so water pools between the support beams. (2) The canvas is not a solid piece on the east side. Upshot of design flaws? We got dinner AND a show as we watched two other groups scramble for dry ground when the wind tipped the canvas up and the water down the seam. You have never seen a bunch of people move that fast! Fortunately they moved before the entire "lake" dropped on their table. The manager was out snapping pictures of the design flaws with his cell phone and complaining about said design flaws to his regional office. Last seen he was muttering about replacing the whole thing with a tin roof.

Bottom line: the pizza makes Boston Pizza worth some patience, but avoid the patio after a storm until they fix the roof!
