In Extremis was founded in 1995 by rhythm guitar player Vicens Bitri�
First envisioned as a cover band, In Extremis tours Catalonia and Spain performing a set of favorites (from Queen to Machine Head).
In 1997 one of their first creations, a song named "Somiador" (DREAMER) is featured in "Ilerrock" (Rec Records, 1997) a sampler Cd of local talents.
In 1998 they are invited to record an Iron Maiden cover for a tribute album. "The aftermath" is recorded. Due to their constant live appearances, they perform at one of the greatest summer festivals in Southern Europe: The "Doctor Music Festival" along with Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan and Deep Purple amongst others.
Since then, In Extremis have been one of the most respected live acts in the catalan metal scene, headlining clubs and opening for the most well-known rock bands in Spain such as Baron Rojo, Tierra Santa, Obus, Saratoga, Sangtrait, Hamlet, �u, Aspid, Gra Fort, Bon Scott Band, Sopa de Cabra etc.
They are also in the bill when it comes to talk about the biggest rock festivals (Senglar Rock and Acampada Jove d'Arb�cies)
They have been featured in the compilation albums "Ilerrock (Rec Records, 1997) and "Ilerrock III (Rec Records, 2001), and a full album was recorded in 2001 (the one known as "51%") but it never saw the light of day because of lack of label's support.
In 2003, they join forces with "Blanc Gesti� Cultural", a new record company that signs them with the intention of releasing (or re-releasing) all their stuff in a single release.
So, here it is, after eight long years, the complete studio work of In Extremis in this "1995-2003" Cd. And there you can find a new song wich features Oliver Amberg ex-Celtic Frost guitar player!.
