Some Notes About the Crowfeather Ranch

To the west of the valley is the Crowfeather Ranch. This ranch is owned and run by Mr. Harold Smith (affectionately known as "Boss") and his daughter Jenna (14). His son from his first marriage, Tanner (19), is away at college on the coast, but visits when he can. They share their home with a few ranch hands, and make a decent living off their cattle and ranch horse breeding.

Some Extra Rules on the Ranch Map  ***READ***

- The ranch is a dangerous place for the wild horses. As they are not protected by government law, Mr. Smith is free to deal with them however he sees fit. This could mean death if they pose a threat to his cattle or horses.  It's tempting to try and free all the ranch horses but keep in mind that none of the humans are going to appreciate this! Is it worth risking your character's life to do something "cool" ?

- Wild horses are generally afraid of humans; they do their best to avoid contact, and this should go for characters in the game as well. Unless your character has had previous experience with humans in the game (or it has been written out ahead of time in their detailed history and OK'ed by the Admin) it's safe to say that they're going to be spooked by people. Stallions might act aggressively in defence of their herd but unless they feel threatened they will probably just try to get that herd out of the area safely.

- You can not simply join as a horse belonging to the Crowfeather Ranch. The only way you can play one of these exclusive characters is if you are asked to or if your character is captured and trained as a ranch horse. This does not mean you should try and get your character captured. Oh no! The chances of them being sold right away to the slaughter house are far to great to risk. Mr. Smith prefers horses of great pedigree. A lowly feral mix isn't worth the effort it would take to train it.
