Christian Conversion?

Is someone pestering you, by trying to convert you to the Christian faith, if so read on.

Self-surrender is a source of a mass movement’s unity and vigor. Self- surrender is a sacrifice, an act of atonement, and atonement is unnecessary unless there is a sense of sin. The technique of the Church is to have you believe that people are not only infected with a malady such as sin, but are born in sin, then they offer to you, the Church and Jesus as a cure.

Children are especially vulnerable. From an early age their fundamental parents condition their children to believe, usually by such sayings as. "If you don’t believe in Jesus and the Church teachings you will go to Hell when you die." That’s a pretty potent threat to frighten a child with, this concept of Hell. This could be considered in today’s world as a form of mental abuse, as a child would normally believe what their parents say. As the child matures parents will then tell them similar things such as. "When you become a little bit older you will meet people who will try to lead you away from your faith. They will have persuasive arguments, and they will have lots of what they call evidence on their side, and you will be really tempted to believe it. The more you are tempted the more you will know that this is Satan and his evilness tempting you into damnation and Hell.

When an adult or adolescent converts to Christianity, a self-esteem problem usually already exists within the individual. The Church reinforces this view that they are inadequate and in need of God, (Jesus) to restore them from their sin nature and unhappiness and make them whole. The Church says that they are sinners, and to put their trust in Jesus who will restore, cleanse, and forgive them. The end result is an all out dependency upon faith and scripture as taught by the fundamentalist interpretation of the New Testament.

Fundamental Christianity with its defilement (pollution) of self-image, unwavering demands for obedience to authority, and sole reliance on faith, diminishes the individual by eating away at the heart of human dignity. It traps its followers by instilling in them a sense of hopelessness under the pretense of salvation and it holds them in bondage through the intimidation (inspire with fear) of the soul. It teaches that misery and sin constitute the base of a person’s personality, and that the only way to freedom is to accept this thought as truth, and to cry out to God for forgiveness for having been born.

It teaches its followers to abandon secular reasoning and to focus solely on the bible. This becomes the ultimate form of control. Those who see themselves in reality under this suppression of fear and guilt accept these distorted messages. In each generation this indoctrination spreads like a virus infecting the vulnerable. We can only hope for a solution some day, with archeological discoveries, so revealing, that the tools of the church will crumble, and the fundamentalist will be finally set free to think for himself.
