"The Brat Prince"
Lestat, dark prince, hear the cry,
But, what of the Savage Sea, pray tell?

"The Savage Seas"
Of eternal waves, the gentle sigh.
The savage garden you described so well,
Is the garden that the angels fell.
The place the angels missed when they fell.
The roaring waves, the endless tide,
The whispering ripples of truth subside.
For this is the most stunning place,
This is mother nature's most cruel face.
Almighty, powerful and seductive charm,
The mighty storm, the gentle calm.
Trust me, the savage seas are interesting for you,
The water lapping, the endless green and blue.
If the savage garden is the present design,
Would the savage seas not be infinite time?

Im ready for the world again. I spent most of the last few years lying motionless on the floor of St. Elizabeths, the former orphanage which is now one of my homes. Slowly the music of Sybelles ceaseless Appassionata awakened me. Yet even after I stunned Armand, Marius, David and the others by my appearance at their house in the New Orleans suburb of Metairie, I still returned to my repose.
Sometimes weeks passed before I would move again. Sometimes it was mere hours. Where was I while I was gone, in my astral wanderings? I promised to give that story to David first. You will hear it in time. I know my absence was a great source of consternation to Louis, who did not even wait for my eventual return before attempting to take his own immortal life.
It was this foolish attempt which brought me back to my body for good. Or perhaps I should say, for the present. I do not wish to think what might have happened to him if I hadnt given him my blood. And yet, now it is difficult to think of what happened as bad, despite the fact that I almost lost him. This event bestowed a new strength upon Louis, and perhaps a small bit of the peace he has been searching for since even before I made him a vampire.
How beautiful he is now, and how his love for Merrick makes him even moreso. Despite the pain this causes to David, despite the machinations of the Talamasca, I cannot help but be glad to have this beautiful witch among us. She will give Louis everything that I never could, and that Claudia never could.
Claudia, my daughter of desperation, still wanders nearby. Is she fated to be a restless spirit for all eternity? Will I ever make peace with her? I cannot say, especially since I am suspicious of her intentions towards Louis, and perhaps towards Merrick as well.
And so it begins, my newest adventure.
