Jamie Hamilton was baisicly designed to be the female lead that every show has to have. We all know why. She never fell in love with anybody although it's very possible she was intended to be the love interest for Troy. It just never materialised and I'm not sorry.
Jamie was a pretty face but she was none too swift. It could take half an episode for her to realize a fact that was obvious to the juvenile audiences 10 minuetes previous. This was actualy more the fault of the writers and the terrible scripts. Jamie could have been a much better character. Sort of a female Clark Kent, reporter by day, Galatican spy by night. Maybe not but still she had potential that was not explored fully.
