This year the Charlotte High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble has choosen to use Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" for their 2000-2001 show. The original score is by Danny Elfman but has been arranged by our own Mr. Ken Trapp for the show. If you've ever seen this awesome show you'll notice the battery represents Jack Skellington and the dancers display Sally. The pit portrays assorted others. For example, the aux. boys are the three trick-or-treators, Lock, Shock, and Barrel, Brett is one of the vampires, and Bob is the mayor. Our timpinist plays Oogie Boogie.
So far, there has been three competitions. The first one, Lehigh Senior High School, Charlotte took home 2nd place. The second one, Cypress Lake High School, they took home second once again. But at the most recent one, North Fort Myers High School, Charlotte High School won first place. Go Charlotte! |
