cutefuzzycritter -------------------- " First Fox, now Falco. What's going on?" Slippy said through the comm link. Circling over Venom the two pilots headed back towards the Great Fox. Nothing was making any sense. " I don't know slippy. I've never seen anything like that in all my years as a pilot." Peppy sighed wearily, the fight with team Starwolf had been exausting, and without Fox's skill the victory was a narrow one...had it not been for that white blue they would be dead now. Unfortunately with both Fox and Falco missing, and their locators not even responding at whatever distance they were at. Hope of finding them was slim. If only they could figure out what that mysterious light was. " Peppy!" Slippy cried suddenly. " I see it." Peppy frowned. It was that light again, and it had appeared uncomfortably close to the Great Fox. The two pilots circled around it slowly. ROB automatically changed course aboard the Great Fox to avoid the annomally. " Listen to me. Slippy..." Peppy said slowly, " Go back to the Great Fox and use the long range scanners to see if you can pick up Fox's or Falco's signal." " Roger." Slippy confirmed as he pulled away and headed for the Great Fox. Peppy stayed by the portal. Circling it several times. The aged pilot wondered if perhaps James had ever seen it.... Maybe he... No... It was Slippy that broke Peppy's concentration. " Sorry, Peppy, the Long range scanners aren't picking them up either." " Alright, Slippy, this is the plan. I'm going through the portal..." " What!? No Peppy!" Slippy protested. " Don't argue with me. I stood by and just watched one of my friends die...I'm not going to let it happen again. If I don't make it back, head back to Corneria and report to General Pepper!" Peppy yelled into his headset, turning the AR-Wing sharply. The nose of the space fighter lined up with the portal. " PEPPY!" Slippy yelled into the communications monitor as the hare's craft dissapeared into the portal. The sudden change was unsettling. One moment the barren wastes of Venom had surrounded him, and suddenly bright blue skies similar to that of Corneria surrounded him. Where had he ended up? Before he could think, a huge behemoth appeared as he passed through a cloud. Years of experiance allowed him to realize the danger, but even for the experianced it all happened to fast to react. He plowed into it...and through it. Peppy blinked as he found that he was still alive. The creature he had hit had been nothing but a giant balloon. " Where am I?" He wondered as he found a spot to land. A surprised crowd gathered curiously around his ship. Peppy slowly looked around, and realized that he had landed in an open field next to a giant stadium. " Now there's someone who knows how to travel." A voice from the crowd remarked. Ryoga the lost one -------------------------- After getting some food, the gang began to search for a way to get out of the jungle. On the way, the rest of the team told DK what was going on. "Let me get this straight" DK said, "You guys were brought to some Hyrule place, got in a fight, and got chased by things that look like an older him?" DK said while pointing at young link. "Yes, something seemed to have lured us all to that area, we were attacked and seperated." Zelda responded. "Hmm, so how are we gonna get outta here" DK said, Kirby looked worried,"We don't know". Young Link tried to be optimistic, "Well we'll just have to look for a way to get out." "Hmm, well it's our best idea." Zelda said, "Let's start looking." The team soon split up and searched for a way to get out of Congo Jungle. Everybody broke up into groups of 2 besides DK, seeing as how he knew the jungle and was least likely to get into trouble alone. Everybody had agreed to meet where they left in 15 minutes. DK had a lot of thoughts going through his head, even though that didn't happen often. *Man, so many things have happened at one time. Best thing to do right now is focus on finding that exit*. DK heard a large sound and went to investigate, he snuck up behid a tree and saw something he never had before. DK saw at least 7 dozen clones of himself and all the rest of the group. *SHIT* DK thought, *I gotta warn the others*. Then as he prepared to run to the meeting point he noticed something. *A PORTAL!*, DK saw a large blue swirling portal where the clones were coming from. Once he was done looking, he headed towards the others as fast as he could. "Any luck?" Mewtwo asked Zelda and Young Link, "No.", Zelda responded. Kirby looked hopeful, "Maybe Donkey Kong found something." "HEY", DK yelled as he ran towards them, "I found something really strange", He said as he tried to get some air. "What did you find?", Mewtwo asked. "I found a bunch of clones that look like all of us!" DK responded, everyone gasped. "But the good part is, I found a portal.", he said. "A portal?", Mewtwo said, "Let's go for it!" Link said entusiasticly. "No, we don't know where that portal leads." Mewtwo said, "But maybe it leads to who is causing all this trouble." Responded Kirby. Everyone thought about for a moment. "Maybe we should vote" Zelda said wisely. After a few minutes it was nearly unanimous that they should go for the portal. DK leaded them to the spot, "There's so many of them!" yelled Young Link. Unfortunatly, the clones heard him. DK ran towards the group arms flailing! The others quickly followed. The battle was intense and even a little confusing. Dark energy balls were zooming about, the ground was shaking, a sword shot shockwave after shockwave straight towards the clones, Magical fire flew threw the area, and arrows were flying as well as the mindless clones. Although the battle was in DK and company's favor the tide soon changed as the clones attacks became more furious. "We have to make for the portal!" Mewtwo yelled. Everybody silently agreed and ran for the portal. Not knowing what is on the other side. PunkRockerBass ------------------------ Slippy had waited for two hours, and couldn't stand it anymore. "ROB, prepare for me to dock," he said softly. Three......three of his friends gone...in a matter of hours..It was almost too much for him to bear. He docked his Arwing in the Great Fox and walked to the bridge, where Rob awaited his orders. "Take us to Corneria. Once there, hail General Pepper....tell him we have some bad news.....I'll be in my quarters. I need some sleep." "Yes, sir" Ansewered ROB, carring out the task. "Good night, sir." "Not actually, but thanks, anyway, ROB..", he said glumly. He made her way to her room, but couldn't get to sleep. All he saw while he lay awake was Peppy's ship dissapearing into the portal..... {1 Hour later...} Slippy walked to the Mess hall, and poured some coffee. He hadn't slept at all, and had rings under his eyes. He was about to take his first sip when a message came through the intercom. "Slippy, we have a response from Falco's Arwing," said ROB, no emotion in his voice. The only thing that was heard was a cup smashing and feet dashing down the hall, to the bridge. ------------------ Slippy reached the bridge out of breath, and gasping for air. "Where....is it....ROB?", he asked, gluping air. ROB ansewered."Three degrees port. Near the Corneria grocery store. Sensors show damage on multiple buildings. Arwing shows no heat on sensors." Slippy sighed."At least it's there.....maybe he got out...." He said to herself as he dashed to his Arwing. "ROB, I'm going out, "he said as he shot out of the hangar. 'Maybe they're alright...maybe they're even together, walking to Pepper's base right now!' he thought hopefully. {On the ground..} Slippy hopped out of the Arwing and sprinted to the downed fighter. There he found the ground trampled with.....lines? Five other sets of prints surrounded some unearthed dirt, indiacating a recent sturggle. "Falco.....I hope he's alright..OH, NO!!" he gasped as he saw something on the ground. A single blue feather, covered in blood. The blood continued for a few more feet, where it stopped. Shard of blue cloth were scattered where the blood ended, and the grass looked scorched. "No.....Falco...," he whispered to himself as she cried. ------------------------------------------ Back to Marth's group...... ------------------------------------ Falco's wing was almost perfectly fine, But Marth was having trouble for some reason... "Marth, how are you holding up?", asked Falco. "I'm...fine...," he wheezed. "Gotta...find..Roy..." "Maybe we should stop for a while...what'dya say, Marth?" "NO!", he yelled defiantly."I can't stop searching...I've got to find him...,", he said, a desperate look on his face. Yoshi ran up, sticking his head under Marth, and Rolled Marth onto his back, in Yoshi's saddle. "You won't walk anymore for now." Pikachu jumped up on Yoshi and curled up in Marth's lap. "Thanks, Yoshi....and Pikachu...,"He said, slumping in the saddle. "Hey! What-sa that?!", yelled Mario, pointing at a glowing hole. Marth's eyes lit up. "A portal......,"he whispered, then rolled off the saddle and limped to the vortex. yelled Pikachu, dashing after him. But he had already gone through. The group followed, a hesitant Luigi bringing up the rear. {seconds later} Marth sat on a hill overlooking a fortress, the like of which he had never seen before. Pikachu ran up beside him. "waiting......,"he said weakly. demanded Pikachu. Marth smiled as the fortress doors opened. "Roy....there he is...." He stumbled down the hill, tripped and rolled down what he adn't covered, then pulled himself to his feet. The swordsman limped over to Roy, a weak smile on his face. "Brother....I've found you........," he whispered. Then he collapsed in Roy's arms, while a group of people looked on in confusion and horror. Ryoga the lost ------------------- DK and company ran for the portal and were being chased by mindless clones who were fighting more furiously than ever. Once DK got through the portal the others came quickly after. Everyone noticed they weren't being followed, and stared at the portal. They all expected something to come out and stared. When they heard DK say, "Ahhh, guys were floating!" as he pointed down. Sure enough, they weren't standing on anything. Zelda looked confused, "How could this be?" The entire group was looking down, completley baffled. "Hey, look around!" said Kirby. What they saw was the strangest thing they probably ever saw. They were floating in a giant purple chamber. All around the walls of it there were portals shining a deep blue. The strangest thing of all was that there were motionless things that loooked like wire frames occasionally dropping out of one portal and falling in another. They all floated there, speechless. "Hey look, I can move", said kirby as he proceeded to do just that and glide through the chamber, almost getting hit by one of the wire frames. "Try it", he said. Sure enough, they tried it for a moment and discovered they could manuever through the area. After a moment they went over to Kirby's location. "What are going to do now?", said Mewtwo. "I guess the best thing we could do is try to find which one of these portals leads to the others" said Zelda. "How are we gonna do that?", Said DK sceptically. "I don't know", Said Zelda. As they pondered Young Link said something, "Hey! Look!", He was pointing at a strange orange robitic looking thing with a gun falling towards one of the portals. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm going after it!", said Kirby. As Kirby chased after it the others quickly followed and saw it fall through one of the portals. Which they went into soon after it. Tiamat Zero ----------------- *Pikachu dashed up to Roy and Marth, she had become protective of the group since they helped her out* Pi? She looked up as Link and Fox walked out as well. "PIKA!" She dashed up into Links arms hugging him tightly. Link blinked twice, hugging the pikachu back then looking at Roy and Marth. "What's going on?" Pika pi pi chu! Link set her down. "I'm sorry...I can't understand you." Pikachus ears pinned to the back of her skull. Piikaaaa...she whined. Marth regained his balance, drinking the other half of Luigis lonlon milk that he got from Young Link. He and Roy hugged in joyous reunion. "Where are-a the others?" Mario asked. A huge smoking orange piece of metal his between them both. Samus pulled herself up, looked around and jumped to her feet. "WOAH!" They looked at her, she looked back. "Who are you?" Roy asked, hand at the hilt of his sword. Samus removed her helmet, revealing a youthful womans face with faded purple hair tied back. "My name is Samus Aran...I think we're here together because of the same problem..." AuthorX ----------- Crying to himself, Slippy finally came to a decision. He had to do something. He needed to find out exactly what happened to Falco, and he needed help. "Rob, deploy Landmaster." "Complying... Landmaster deployed. Awaiting further orders." "Okay, just wait for me there, okay Rob? ... Rob?!" He listened, but could only hear static over the frequency. He ran as fast as he could to where he had landed, finding only the Landmaster by itself. Looking around, he quickly found two small trophies. An Arwing and the Great Fox. He marvelled at these a moment, then scooped them up and, climbing into the Landmaster, decided he would have to do the adventuring for once. No longer could he sit back and cover technical while Fox and the others fought, he was the only one left and he would have to take action. From the emergency store in the Landmaster, he pulled out a reflector shield, a dash system, and a blaster. He would need to avenge Falco, and he would have to do it on his own. As an after-thought, he also grabbed a few expirimental cloaking devices he had been working on earlier. They weren't perfect, but they would sure come in handy... Elsewhere, Peppy suddenly had an unexpected visitor. As he was trying to ignore the crowd and figure out his coordinates from the shipboard computer, a small creature hopped up onto the ship, waving it's forearms franticly. "Hello there, little fella'! What's the matter? Something going on?" "Pichu! Pichu pi-pichu pi." "What's wrong, timmy stuck in the well?" he chuckled to himself. "Pichu!! Pichu pipichu pi!" Angrily, the small yellow thing hopped into the cockpit and hit one of the buttons with it's forehead. "What the? Hey, don't touch those!" he exclaimed as the hatch closed overhead. "Geez, you really are serious aren't you?" "Pi! Pichu pi!" The creature shouted repeatedly, hopping up and down on his lap and indicating upwards with one paw. "Really? I'll have to take you're word for it," he chuckled, and initiated the take off sequence. "I hope you have somewhere in mind." He shouted out to the crowd to clear a path. After a long runway start, they managed to get airborne. "Uh oh, she's not gonna last much longer in the atmosphere." "Pichu pi pichu!" "Beg your pardon?" "Pi!!" it shouted and pointed out toward the ocean. "Well, I'm to far gone to back out now," he muttered and headed out, following the Pichu's directions. "Well I'll be," he marveled when they came out a cluster of clouds and were above an island. "Is this where you wanted me to go?" It nodded happily "Chu!" they landed and Peppy followed the energetic young pokemon to a clearing in the forest. "Pi! Pichu pi pichu! Chu pichu pi!" "I'm sorry, fella, but I can't understand a word you're saying." He looked up and saw what he had least expected in front of him. "A portal! Is this what you wanted to show me? I'll bet one of your friends fell in, didn't it?" "Pichu pi! Chu pi pichu pichu!" Even though he didn't understand what it was saying, Peppy understood it's rappidly nodding head perfectly. Well then, we'll just have to see where it lead, won't we?" And with that, he stepped through, the small pokemon hot on his metephorical tail. cutefuzzycritter -------------------- The Mewtwo floated to a hault as he exited the portal. The sight that greeted him was a shock. " We're back where we started!" Kirby moaned. " Not quite, were in the sanctuary of Hyrule Temple now." Zelda tried to say reassuringly. " Well it's not much of a sanctuary if those monsters can still come through." Young link said shaking his head as he pointed towards the portal. " You!" The Mewtwo frowned eyeing Link. As the 15 warriors greeted each other. The Mewtwo floated slowly down the coridors of the sanctuary. Why had they been brought here? They had tried to escape, but they had been brought back here. What ever was special about Link had drawn him to this temple, and even after they had escaped from this world they had been drawn back. To the very temple Link had suggested in the first place. The solution was here. It had to be. The first key to solving the puzzle that had been eluding them for so long...but why here? Zelda was the only person who understood these Ruins. If any of them had a chance of unraveling it's mysteries it was her. As the Mewtwo wandered the halls, he found himself lost. After a bit more wandering he came across a room. It seemed buried in dust, but along the walls there existed complicated engravings. Sometimes writing, somtimes pictures, as his eyes traveled the walls he saw something which almost caused him to lose his composure. " Zelda, I need you to come see something. Bring the others." Despite being seperated by stone walls, the telepathic message reached the mystic. She turned in the general direction and raised a curious eyebrow. " I think it may be all the answers to our questions!" Tiamat Zero ----------------- Pikachu scurried around young Link, playing with him, her ears up. Link laughed and looked down he chased her down the hallways. Pikachu slipped through a small crack in the ruins, young link easily following. It's pretty easy when you're small. They kept on running, soon to be getting lost. Pikachu slid into a room, stopped her eyes wide. Pika! Young Link crept up behind her and watched. "Wow.." he saw on a crumbled part of the ruins a shining trophy. The figure was of a monster from the Brinstar depths. (the one that turns the arena around) Young Link took the trophy in his hands. "What is this?" Pika pi pika chu! Link looked down at her. "I can't understand." Pikachu pinned her ears back, made motions of link taking the trophy and running. Spelled out zeldas name in the air. He seemed to understand. Link nodded and began to follow. He felt something, so wrong. Turning around he was met by a wire frame, male. He was entranced by it. Pikachu!!! An electrical bouncing energy hit the wireframe, shocking it and snapping Link from his trance. Both he and Pikachu ran as fast as they could, wire frame behind them. ********* Roy and Marth were sitting down on crumbled ruins, talking to eachother very quietly about the whole mystery. Everyone was talking, they wanted to figure it out, wanted to figure out what these trophies were..how to solve this mystery and how to get back home. Fox and Falco were more than friendly chatter, they were almost frantic about the other wars going on, that they weren't there to help in. Zelda and MewTwo were off on their own. Suddenly, Young Link ran "HELP! IT"S COMING!" Everyone jumped up, facing the wire frame as it moved through the ruins. It stopped stark still.... PunkRockerBass ------------------------ "RUUUUUN!!!" yelled young Link as he zipped past Marth and Roy. "What is his problem?", asked Roy. He turned around, looking where Link had come from...and saw an army of see through creatures, one of which was only a few feet away. "Ah. Well, I could use a good fight. How about you, brother?" Marth stood, his sword glowing. "I'm feeling a bit better. Sure." The two dashed towards the creature, and were greatly surprised when they felled the creature with a mere kick. "Aw.....this'll be no fun,"pouted Roy. "We have plenty more. Quit whining,"said Marth as he walked towards the oncoming army. "This remind you of something?" he asked, his eyes narrowed. Roy looked shocked." The kingdom....." "Exactly. We need to get back soon. For now, have at them!" --------------------------------------------- "Hmm....shall we help them?" asked Mewtwo. "The Blue haired lad seems a bit weak...." "You would be, too, if you had holes in your body. Come on,"a She said, sending a blast of fire into the fray. Mewtwo followed, it's eyes glowing, and crushed several frames in a psychic fist. Zelda waved her arms, and was wrapped in a gust of wind, emerging a moment later as Sheik. The two leaped off their ledge and into the hoard of wireframes. Mewtwo continued to float above the army, tossing shadow balls into the mass, knocking them to the ground, where their bodies faded away. Marth kicked one in the side, but as it faded, a small form was left. Pulling his blade out of one, he rolled over to it for a better look. It said Female Wire Frame, and was a miniture look-alike. 'Just like Bowser......' Marth thought. Tucking the parcel away, he continued to cut down the enemy. {Over with Mario and Luigi...} "M-m-mario.....look!" Stuttered Luigi, pointing at an object behind the pair. Walking towards them was a Bob-omb, it's fuse lit. Mario glanced at it, picked it up, and tossed it at the army of wires, scattering the mass. Only a few remained, so Mario sat down and leaned back. "I've done my part," he said with a smirk. -------------------------- Roy pulled his sword out of the last remaining creature, and picked up the object it left behind. 'Male Wire Frame'.... "How queery. Hey Marth, look what I've got!" As he made his way to his brother, a rumble was heard, and the earth shook, tripping Marth and Roy. As Roy helped Marth up, a rumbling growl was heard, which became an enraged roar as the temple was toppled by a tunnel of flame. Beyond the temple's remains, a huge Bowser stood.... "Marth....what is it?" asked Roy. "I'm not sure....but we're in alot of trouble...." The Giant Bowser stomped across the ruins, heading for the murderer of his son.... Tiamat Zero ---------------- Mario looked up, the bowser looked completely wild, menacing looks and a lot bigger than any of them, with more body mass than any other creature they've ever faced. Samus looked up. "I vote we leave." "I second that vote!" Fox piped up. MewTwo and Zelda nodded to one another, forming a portal big enough to fit the tallest one of them in. "Hurry it up!" MewTwo commanded. Link took YoungLink and ushered him in, followed by Kirby, Marth, Roy, Samus, Falco, Fox, Pikachu, Mario, Luigi, DK and anyone else I happened to forget >-< GigaBowser sent a wave of fire, grazing MewTwo and Zeldas back as they slipped through the portal. ********* Everyone landed in a huge pile. "Argh! Get off me!" Link shoved Mario and Luigi off him, rolling away and helping Zelda up. Pikaaa... She rubbed her head and pinned her ears to the back of her skull. This was getting to be quite painful. Kirby jumped out. "Where are we?" "And is there food?" DK finished up. MewTwo picked up a huge yellow ball with a string on the end, he tossed it up in the air to find it floating. "Was that wise?" Zelda asked him cautiously. "Probably not" he responded. "But what have we got to loose?" The ball started to beep, then opened up. Food raining towards the ground! "WOOOO HOOO!" Link jumped and cheered with Kirby. "WE HAVE FOOD!" "ALL RIGHT!" Dk exclaimed. Everyone sat down and grabbed their favourites, giving DK a pathetically small amount. Pikachu chewed on a doughnut happily, watching Ray and Marth eat as well. Zelda stood beside MewTwo, they sat down in front of one another and began to talk about the trophies, and the horrendous GigaBowser. ********* *Captain Falcon was almost done with the race, a few more miles to go and... what?. He saw another wireframe female on his craft! "Damnit!" He jumped up and slid, knocking the wire frame off. That seemed to be too easy. A male knocked him off, off of his craft, off the track and falling into the bottom of the Big Blue. A portal opened, catching him and taking him to another place. Metasyke ------------- As each character attempted to figure out exactly what is going on here, none of them realized they were all being watched from above. On a small platform high above the skyline, in a dimension none of them knew about, a lone warrior stood still. In front of him lay a multitude of clouds, each with images of the warriors as they each faced their trials. "Excellent, all is going according to plan. The warriors are carefully being hearded to the same place. I so love it when a plan goes accordingly." Behind him, one of the Metal Samuses appeared. The creation went over to the figure and bowed down. He turned, then beckoned with one gloved hand. "And how did it go, minion?" "The one you call Samus has taken the warp. She, like the others, is on her way." The figure laughed evilly. "Just the words I needed to hear. Now go and ensure that Samus does indeed make it to my little tournament. Now, if you excuse me, I have matters to attend to." The figure waved his hands, and the Metal Samus disappeared in a quick warp. The figure closed his eyes, and out of nowhere, a small group of trophies appeared. Some were of different items that populated the video world. Others were of video characters themselves. The figure looked over his collection. "My collection grows with every passing day. Soon, I will indeed have them all. I just need to have patience. Now, for those matters..." The figure formed a warp zone much like the ones he used to teleport his minion, and he stepped into it. * * * In the realm known as Angel World, young PIt was indeed living the life he dreamed. After saving his home twice from both Medusa and The Demon (OOC: I dont know the actual name of the villian from KI 2), he had fallen under the good graces of the Goddess of Angel World. Now the true Keeper of the Three Treasures, Pit was one of the most well-respected denizens of Angel World. But in the back of his mind, he was afraid that someone dangerous lurked. As if to acentuate his feelings, a smaller angel flew up to him. "Pit! We need your help! Angel World is under attack!" Immediately Pit grabbed his Bow, and soon he was again clad in the Three Treasures. After reciving the location of the attack, Pit flew off, ready to face whatever awaited him. * * * It didn't take long for Pit to reach the area of distress, and he wasn't certain what to make of this. Standing over what appeared to be trophies of familiar denizens of Angel World, was a single man. Clad entirely in black armor, save some white gloves, the figure appeared to be . . . waiting for him? "Hello, Pit. I am glad to finally meet you." Pit was surprised. How did this person know him? "Who are you, and why have you attacked Angel World? What have you done to the people living here?" "You can call me Master Hand. You see, Pit, I am what you call a collecter. I collect many things of interest. At one time it was bugs, another time it was plushie toys, but now I'm looking for trophies." "If it's trophies you want, then go enter the Olympics. We do not give trophies to murderers. Now answer my second question!" "Very well. You see, the trophies I desire do not come from sports. I require trophies of the many characters of VideoWorld. Unfortunately, these are not easy to come by, so I have been traveling to each world, and have . . . changed, shall we say, the beings inside into new additions to my collection. And I have decided that you shall be the next to join my collection." "I can say that you can leave now, or be struck down by my arrows. You are a monster! Now turn those trophies back into my friends, and leave!" Master Hand lost the smile on his face. "I am afraid that was snot a choice. Call it . . . destiny." Master Hand suddenly started to change. As his body started to disappear into nothingness, Pit saw that the two gloved hands were starting to grow larger, and larger. The two hands grew to twice Pit's normal size, and soon Pit realized he was noe again fighting for his life. The right hand let out an evil laugh as the left hand hovered nearby, fingers twitching greatly. Before Pit could say anything, the right hand swung at him, palm outstretched. Only the power of his wings allowd Pit to fly leap over the attack. Immeidately, Pit pulled out an arrow and let it fly at his atrget. The arrow struck true, and was shrugged off as though it was a mere misquito bite. "Foolish angel!" boomed the voice of Master Hand. "Your arrows are no match for my power!" Pit looked to the side just in time to watch the left hand slam into him index finger first. Pit bounced off the finger and slamme dinto a nearby rock wall. Falling off, Pit flapped his wings, slowing his descent. "This Master Hand packs a wallop. Pit, you defeated Medusa. get a hold of yourself, you can do this..." Grabbing his bow, Pit again took to the skies, firing off arrows, this time with the addition of fireballs. Each arrow struck true, a testament to the abilities of the Angel. Suddenly, an explosion caught Pit off guard, as two bullets had just been fired from the right hand. Pit fell right into the palm of the left hand. Keeping a tight grip, Pit soon felt himself crushed again, and again and again. Finally, ythe hand tossed him aside, leaving a flowr on top of Pit's head that began sapping his strength slowly. "I'm sorry..." was all Pit could say as the hands engulfed him. The clasped hands started to go through various motions, and when they parted, a trophy dropped to the ground. Pit had his bow out, an arrow aimed and ready to fling towards an unknown target. the hands reformed into the armor-clad figure, and he picked up his newest collection. "Beautiful. Simply beautiful." A warp zone soon formed, and he went through it, reappearing back at his home of Final Destination. He looked at each of the clouds that showcased the trials of the warriors, and smiled. "Soon, very soon, my collection shall be complete." Snot man ------------- Kirby came up to Mewtwo and Zelda, chewing on a rice ball. "Hey guys, why aren't you eating anything?" Zelda answered "Mewtwo has found this in the ruins, it may be the answer to our questions." She showed him a trophy representing a little rectangle-shaped box with a screen and two buttons. 'Game and Watch' was written on it. The screen displayed the words 'Important imformations for the chosen heroes'. Kirby groaned "The chosen heroes? What makes you think it has any relationship with our situation?" Mewtwo then pointed at tiny inscriptions written under the title. By reading very carefully, you could see all their names written there... Zelda took the trophy back "It proves that we're definitely all in the same boat, with a few others we haven't met yet. The only problem is that we can't read anything more. It's in trophy form, so we can't press the buttons or do anything useful with it... We must find a way to return it to a normal form." Kirby pondered for a moment, but nothing came up. ~~~Later, that night, around the campfire~~~ Zelda showed the trophy to everyone so they could try and figure a way of giving back a real form to the trophy. But as Fox touched it, it began glowing, the golden base disappeared and it turned into a real Game and Watch. Fox stared in amazement. "What... What happened?" Zelda didn't answer. She picked it up, pressed a button and shouted "It works!". The conversations stopped, everybody listened as she was reading the message written on the little screen. "Dear heroes, enclosed in this small item is information that may prove vital for the future of the Video World. At first, we must present ourselves, we are what you may call the "Flat ones". Our people is very different from yours and our only way of communicating with your dimension is these small machines called 'Game and Watch'. A long time ago, in our world, one of our scientists created a way of travelling through the many dimensions and worlds of the Video World. He tried the invention and discovered a whole new world, where things weren't flat at all. There were colors, movement and a 'third dimension'. Of course, he had lots of trouble proving this to our fellow scientists, with all those concepts that were abstract to us. Then, he had an idea. He started using his 'portals', like he calls them, to bring back souvenirs of the worlds he visited. We were very impressed by these new discoveries and brought glory and fame to this researcher. However, he started collecting those souvenirs. He invented a device that'd allow him to turn items into what he called 'trophies'. He was even able to use it to collect entire huge places for himself! Then, something went wrong. He started collecting people and living creatures. We couldn't let him continue his evil schemes, so we decided to ban him into a desertic dimension he had discovered called 'Final destination'. We had set a monitoring device so we could keep track of his actions there. Ironically, he was the one in charge of the inter-dimensional device that'd exile him. He voluntarly overloaded the machine and made his entire lab disappear with him. Somehow, because of that overload, he got the power to control the portals and to create trophies by himself without using a machine. He acquired a new form with tremendous powers and decided to continue collecting everything he could in the Video World. From now on, he was to be called the Master Hand. We couldn't help but watch him helplessly, with no way to stop his schemes. Then, another one of ours showed that he was gifted with a strange power: He could bring the trophies the Master Hand had left in this dimension back to life. We had a new hope of stopping the Master Hand. We invented a device that would allow us to find all the people gifted with this power in Video World. However, we could only spot 25 of them, including our hero. Those people are you, chosen heroes. You are the only ones who can bring an end to the Master Hand's collecting madness and fight the evil army he created with his new powers. Be aware, however, that he's watching your every actions and that he has personally decided to bring all 25 of you together to entertain himself and try to turn you all into trophies. But as a team, you are stronger and you have more chances of reviving trophies because only one of you can revive a certain one, which means you'll also have to team up with your enemies, some of them are chosen heroes, too. Below is a list of all the trophies we can monitor from the Master Hand's personnal collection. Good luck, heroes!" Nobody said anything. They looked at each other, without saying a word. cutefuzzycritter -------------------- The Mewtwo was just as dumbfounded as the rest, but he didn't show it. Pushing his way through the crowd, he took the Octrorok tropy from Zelda, and floated it inches from Fox's face. " You turned that back from being a trophy. I want to see you do it with this." The Mewtwo said as Fox's eyes tried to focus on the tropy that was floating in front of him. " But I don't know how I did it." Fox protested as he gently pulled the tropy away from his face. This time nothing happened when Fox touched it. The Mewtwo twitched as he tried to control his temper. He glared at Fox, " You're hiding something. Why was it that only you could cause it to chage back." " But I'm not...." Fox protested, " I just picked it up and it happened." " Then you must have something no one else has. Empty your pockets." The Mewtwo ordered. Fox looked at Zelda in protest, Zelda sighed, " while I don't agree with his methods. I am curious as well. Just do it." Fox muttered to himself as he pulled his blaster out and put it on the ground. Followed by his deflector shield generator, and his dash unit. He pulled out a set of shades, his com link, the keys to his AR-Wing, A trophy of the wolfen, A picture off his father, and what was left of his emergency kit that he had taken from the AR-Wing. " Is that all?" The Mewtwo asked as he sorted through his stuff. Fox seemed busy searching himself. " That's odd...where'd it go?" Fox wondered aloud. " Where'd what go?" " My coins. I was collecting them from the ground, and all of a sudden I'm missing them." Fox frowned as his hands dipped through empty pockets. " I've been collecting those coins too!" Young link declared. The mewtwo floated over to the boy, while Fox collected his stuff. Young link handed him a coin. It was a plain looking yellow coin that had a star on it, but the moment the Mewtwo floated the coin out of Link's hand. The coin started to dissapear. The Octorock which was still floating a bit to the left of the Mewtwo lost it's bace. " What the?" The Mewtwo blinked floated away from it. The octorock statue seem to grow, and became a real octorok. It hopped about a bit, before running off. The others were too stunned to go and stop it. " Apparently the coins can turn the trophies back to normal." Zelda blinked. " I had a lot more then one coin when I touched the Game and Watch." Fox declared. " Some object must require a lot more coins to transform." Zelda said, " but at least now we have our answer. We'll just have to make sure we collect these star coins we find on our way." Hylianbunny ---------------- Jigglypuff had not had a good day at all. Oh, it was fine until the polygonal pikachu and the armored man. Jigglypuff had been simply resting, having a nice day. That's when she saw an old friend, Pikachu. Jigglypuff and Pikachu had met for the first time in a battle, but quickly became friends.. "Jiggly!" Jigglypuff cried happily to Pikachu. This Pikachu however, seemed...different. He turned towards Jigglypuff and started building up energy in his cheek pouches. Jigglypuff knew this was a sign that Pikachu would use Thunder Jolt. Jigglypuff was rooted to the spot. They weren't battling, why was Pikachu attacking? Then she noticed it. This Pikachu wasn't the same one. Oh, he looked the same, but it couldn't be... "Jigg jiggly puff!" Jigglypuff charged towards the Polygon Pikachu. The Polygon released his charged energy. A larger than average thunderjolt came flying towards Jigglypuff. Sensing the danger, Jigglypuff jumped over this, but barely. She started spinning around in the same spot. Jigglypuff had learned some tricks since her last battle. Quick as a bullet, Jigglypuff flew towards Polygon Pikachu. A large flash of light soon followed, and when Jiggly could see again, all that was on the ground was a few...coins? Why would there be coins? Jigglypuf sensed that something was behind her. She turned around to see a armored figure with two pearl white gloves. "Hello Jigglypuff. How should I say it, I...collect trophies of VideoWorld characters. I have gone from world to world, and have collected certain trophies of characters in individual games. And now you will join my collection too." With this last sentence, the armored body started vanishing into thin air, only to be replaced by two large hands. And then, Jigglypuff started shaking. Never had she seen something like this. She turned tail and ran. ToaGali ----------- The pitch black darkness of midnight in Ness's hometown of Onett was pirced by the apperance of a bright white portal, on top of the tallest brown building, along with the dissapearence of everyone... --- Ness walked out into the bright light of the morning. He glanced around. No one was in sight. Just then, the portal flaired open, just large enough to see over the roofs. Ness saw it, and decided to investigate... "Huh?" He said softly. He jumped to the roof of the market, grabbed a rope, and jumped off the rope, onto the roof the portal was on. He looked at it. Suddenly, a yellow creature bashed him away. It asked. "Ness... wha-what -are- you?" Ness replied, stuttering. The creature jumped up and down rapidly. "Onett." "Johto? I've never heard of it..." Ness stated, confused. "If you go through the portal... it might take you back..." "Fine. I'll come." They walked to the portal. It opened. Ness stared into the white abbyss. "Luck favors the bold." He said as he walked through... --- Location: Venom --- Ness and Pichu were thrusted out of the portal, and on to Venom. The blood red sky came into view as their eyes ajusted. Then, their first foe appeared... Tiamat Zero ----------------- *Pikachu yawned, stretching out and perking up her ears. It was about midnight, the others were asleep curled around the fire. They slept lying down, or leaning against trees or otherthings. Pikachu was restless however...why? She shrugged and yawned again, going off to explore... ********** Peppy looked at a strange glowing portal, Pichu pulling on his leg. "Pi pichu!" it tugged and tugged trying to drag him to the swirling mass. As many battles as Peppy has seen, to tell the truth he didn't want to even get CLOSE to that vortex of swirling energy. He patted Pichus head. "Sorry little guy, but there's NO WAY I'm going into that..thing!" Pichus nose wrinkled up and it shocked him in protest, running around his feet nipping at his ankles. Peppy jumped and started to get angry. "STOP IT!" he growled. Pichu kept nipping, and soon coaxed Peppy to chase him. The Pichu jumped into the portal, Peppy stepping in before he could realize what he was doing. ********* "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Peppy fell on the hard ground, Pichu landing on top of his head and rolling off his back into the grass shaking his head several times. "Pi pi chu!" "Pika?" Pikachu peered out of a bush, looking at the two new beings in this land. Her ears twitched again and she moved closer. The Pichu watched her. "Pichu!" Pi pika? Pika! pikachu! Pipi! Pika... Pi pi chu chu pi pipichu! Pikachu twitched her ears and balanced on her back legs, as the Pichu came and hugged her paw. She sweatdropped. Peppy looked around. "HEY PICHU!! GET AWAY FROM THAT THING!" Pichu looked up in confusion, Pikachu turned and dashed off back towards the others, Peppy following in great confusion. ********* "PIKA!!" Pikachu ran into the clearing, alerting those who were sleeping about the incoming presence. Link opened his eyes wearily, murmering in his sleep and pulling himself up to a sitting position, getting up with his sword unsheathed. Zelda looked up, MewTwo standing up with Link. The others bustled about. Peppy and Pichu busted into the clearing, to see a shadow ball and sword pointed straight at them! "PICHU!" Pichu hid his head behind Peppys leg. "Pep?" Fox looked up. "Don't hurt him everyone! I know this guy." "Fox?" Peppy looked down at him. Fox waved slightly. "Come on. Sit down." The other warriors moved back wearily, leaving Peppy and Pichu sitting in front of the fire. Pichu instantly dashed towards Pikachu, hugging her ear. Pikachu sweatdropped and shook him off. "Pika!" Marth picked up the Pichu and scratched him behind the ears. Pichu cooned in bliss. "What are you doing here?" MewTwo asked. Sitting back down beside Zelda. Peppy scratched his head. "It's a long story...but..." PunkRockerBass ------------------------ Marth walked away from the group, not interested in another newcomer. "Hey, Roy! Come on!", he called behind him. "Where are you going?", asked Roy. "Looking for food. We're running low. You coming?" "Be right there!" "Let's go," He said as Roy neared. They left for a nearby field, which looked to be deserted, though the crops still grew. {A half hour later....} "Okay, Roy, I think we have enough," said Marth, wiping beads of sweat from his brow. "Hey, Marth, you need to rebandage your arm..the blood's seeping through.." said Roy. Indeed, the bandage was completly red now, soaked in blood which was drying upon his forearm. "When we get back. Come o-" He was cut off as a flash of light blinded him. "What the hell?" As his vision cleared, he found himself no longer in a field, but now surrounded by purple walls, some of which were lined with spikes. A tunnel ahead of them led to an unknown destination. Roy and a machine like being he'd never seen before were holding their eyes...'or faceplate', he thought,'looks like a blue Samus...' to his left. "Where are we...?" Roy finally recovered and looked around. As he stepped back, he felt a prick against his skin. Tearing his cape as he turned.....to face a towering wall of spikes. "Whoa......" A rumble was heard as the ground beneath them shook, and the wall began moving forward. "Shit! Everybody, RUN!,"he yelled. They ran into a dead end soon after they started, but there was a hall way not too far above them. "Come on!" said Marth as he stabbed his sword into the wall, angled down. He used the sword as a lever, pulling himself up. He then jumped off the wall, to the opposite one, then back again, until he rreached the top. The being wearing blue armor followed as he dashed down the hall, Roy close on his heels..... They soon came to a pillar with two small cubes rotating around it, just wide enough for one to fit at a time. The wall spikes came closer as Roy jumped, waiting for the cube to reach the other side, where a hallway awaited. Roy jumped up into it, turning to see the spiked wall polowing through the cieling, only a few feet away from Marth and the newcomer. "Jump! Jump now!!" he yelled. Marth did so, but missed the cube, catching on to it with one hand, holding the newcomer's hand with the other. The being in blue climbed to the top of the cube, but when Marth tried to climb up, his arm wouldn't lift his weight. "Brother....I can't get up...", he called. "Hold on!! When you pass, jump off towards me! I'll catch you!" As the cube passed, the man in blue jumped to the hallway and dashed down it, leaving Marth and Roy behind. Marth swung of it, wincing as Roy caught his injured arm and pulled him up. The two ran, the man in blue up ahead. "Hey, Marth! I see a light! Up ahead, looks like a turn!" yelled Roy. "I see it.", Marth replied. His arm hung limp, the blood freshly running down his arm. "The second we get back, we're putting a heart on that!" Marth merely nodded, then ran around the corner....almost running straight into a floating block, which the blue armored man hHAD hit. He jumped over it, leaping across a small pool of molten lava. 'What the hell is this place... he wondered. Then he tripped over a small figure. 'Another Statue!' he thought, picking it up, not bothering to look at it. "Hey, Roy, there's the exit! See it?!" A faint 'yeah' and 'Got it' were heard behind him, but was nearly drowned out by a rumble, which shook the floor with earthquake-like force. "HURRY!!!" Yelled Marth behind him, sprinting like a madman. He rolled into the side tunnel, rolling into the wall hard enough to open the skin on his forehead. Not looking he turned around and braced himself, just in time for a panicy Blue armor and Roy to rebound off of him. A crunch was heard, followed by a bone-rattling grinding noise as the wall came to a stop. The trio was panting heavily for a few minutes, then Marth grinned. He started laughing like a madman, and seconds later, Roy and the armored being followed suit. "We're alive!" screamed Marth between laughs. "Yeah, you are," came a stern voice. Marth opened his eyes...staring straight into the ominous mask of Samus Aran. Marth jumped and tried to crawl backwards, but his arm wouldn't support him. As he fell, something jabbed his side, causing him to reflexivy roll over. As he looked where he had once lay, he saw a trophy...of a blueish, see-through organism, sporting four golden jaws. It was labeled Metroid..... ".........How queery.....Hey, newcomer, are you okay?" The man shook its head vigorously and stood, taking off his helmet, revealing a brown haired man who wore a huge grin. He ran over to Samus. "You're alright!", he said happily. Samus turned around. "Housten.....grr, I'll talk to you later. I've gotta do something first. Go with them," she said, nodding to the brothers. Housten looked hurt. "Oh, alriight...," he said, plodding along towards the pair. "Roy, you remember what just happened, right?" asked Marth. Roy nodded, his eyes wide, then he shook his head and stood, approaching Marth. "Come on, we're gonna have a look at that arm" he said, hauling Marth to his feet and away from the group. Samus looked after the two until they were out of sight, then walked over to the statue. Removing her helmet, she pocketed the item, a single glistening tear falling to the ground. AuthorX -------- Young Link awoke, looking up to see almost everyone else was awake and talking. He shook Kirby awake and they walked toward the midnight huddle. "Wha..." he yawned, "What did I miss? Oh, hello mister," he added when he saw Peppy looking mistified at the small game and watch screen. He looked up, "Oh, hello the-" he paused and looked back and forth between the two Links. "Best not to ask," advised Fox, then turned to Link. "This is another member of Team Starfox and a close friend of mine, Peppy Hare." "Oh... hi! Pleased to meet you. Has anyone else thought of what to do about the trophies? It looks like we probably won't get too much sleep tonight. Does anyone else have any more?" After a moment, Link produced his findings, as well as the two Marth had dropped. "Bowser? Gannondorf? Hey, let me see that game and watch!" Peppy passed the small device to DK, who scrolled up to the list of names. "I thought they sounded familiar. They're on the list!" Everyone looked around at each other and gulped. "I guess that's what it meant by 'team up with our enemies,'" commented Mario. "I guess we'll have to change them back. Does anyone have anymore coins? It will probably take a lot to revive a person..." "Eh, Mario! D'ya think our coins would work?" "Oh, ya! I forgot! Whenever me an' Luigi go on an adventure, we get a lot of coins along the way! Let's see if I still have any." With that, he and Luigi each turned out their pockets, revealing a large cache of small star coins. "But... which one? We should probably keep the wireframes like that, as long as we can." "Well, it aint'ah gonna be Bowser! "Well, it can't be Gannondorf! He's by no means trustworthy!" "Look, I aint'ah gonna spend my hard-earned coins helpin' out that overgrown Koopa!" "Oh, so we should listen to a plumber?" "You wanna go? Come one, tunic-boy, let's go, right'ah here, right'ah now!" "Okay, that's it. I can take you and your moustache!" "Oooh, you're gonna pay for that one!" Meanwhile, everyone looked on and sighed or shook their heads, while Luigi covered his face in embaresment. Kirby walked over to the pile of coins and sucked in a mouthful, then lumbered over to the trophies. He picked up each of the two villians, and spat out the coins and tugged on young Link's shirt. "What is it?" he said, turning around. "It won't work. We might not have enough coins, but maybe you can try." Reluctantly breaking away from the ring of adults, Link walked over to the pile of coins and scooped up as large an armful as he could. He walked over to the Bowser trophy and tapped it with his foot, then to Gannondorf's when nothing happened. He poked it with his toe, then fell backwards from the released weight when the majority of the coins evaporated. The stand dissapeared and Gannondorf grew, until he reached full size and stepped backward, momentarily losing his balance. "What? Where am I?" he shouted, snapping Link and Mario out of their argument. "You fools! Get back!" Shouted Link, grabbing the two children and pulling them back, then drawing his bow with a silver arrow. "You... how did I get here? I demand to know!" He yelled, staring at Mewtwo. "Calm down. We do not wish to harm you." "Speak for youself." Mewtwo glared at Link a moment before continuing. "We need your help," said Mewtwo, and proceeded to explain all that had happened up until that point. As Mewtwo explained the situation, Young Link noticed Gannondorf seemed to be staring them. He began to feel uncomfortable, and then started to relax. There seemed to be a light shining from the Gerudo's hand, and he was apparently the only one to see it. His eyes slowly started to close, and he felt something pulling him forward... Uninterested in the recap, Kirby turned to ask Link if he thought it was such a good idea, but noticed something was wrong. "Link? What's the matter?" He poked his friend, worried. Mewtwo had finished telling Gannondorf what was going on and asked him, "Well? Will you help us?" to which the Gerudo paused... and grinned. Suddenly, before anyone could react, Young Link lurched forward, and Gannondorf grabbed him and jumped back, drawing his immense sword and holding it to the unconcious child's neck. Everyone stepped forward, then drew back, seeing his hostage. "I wouldn't suggest it, Link," he said, watching the hylian begin to draw his bow once again, then lower it angrily. "You too, moustache." Mario reluctantly dropped the fireball and stamped it out. "Now, then. This seems to be a bit of a stalemate. I obviously have no desire to help you, and if what you have told me is true, you need the boy, as well as me. I seem to have only two choices. To give myself up, and be perhaps restrained. Or, by the looks of it, to go down fighting and be turned back to a trophy. I believe I shall choose... neither," he said, and suddenly turned and ran with the boy under his arm. The heros gave chase, running after him until they reached a portal, which seemed to be startled by, but then looked back and jumped through. "No!" shouted Zelda, stopping. "We can't split up again!" Kirby, the smallest and fastest of them, lept into the air and flew past, not heeding her warning, and flew through after his friend, even as the portal closed behind him. The rest of the group stood, shocked at what had just occured. "I knew it... I told you we shouldn't have done it, and now look what's happened to the kids," said Link, breaking the silence. cutefuzzycritter --------------- " So now what." Link asked. " Gannondorf has run off with...me. The Master hand is running about collecting everything in sight, and we still aren't anywhere near to figuring our way out of this mess." The Mewtwo stared silently at where the portal used to be. " Right, but these portals never seem to lead us in the right direction." Samus protested. The boy was gone. Should he really have cared? He was just a boy... " We can use mine. I can stabalize it for a couple minutes. Long enough for all of us to pass through and not get seperated. Still, I have no better control over where we end up." Zelda said as she scratched her head, " But we still don't know what we're going to do next." He hated humans. Hated them. Most of them were evil, cruel, violent, people...All he had ever wanted was to destroy them... " We-a might not be-a able to find-a Gannondorf-a. But I know where to find Princess Peach. We can-a go to the mushroom kingdom and-a get her before anything bad happens." Mario said, " The Mushroom kingdom ain't gonna be moving around like-a gannondorf, if we go through enough-a portals we'll end up there." But, Link was differant... " We'll eventually cross paths with Gannondorf again, and when we do I'm gonna see that he pays for what he's done." Link growled. well...at least the other one was differant. " Then it's agreed. Our next destination is the mushroom kingdom." Zelda said, " Let's head back to the camp and get some rest." No, No rest for the wicked. Gannondorf would only get farther out of reach... " Good idea." Falco yawned. The group slowly headed back towards the camp. The Mewtwo continued to stare furiously at the spot where the portal had been located. First, the human had attacked him. Then he lacked the sense to trust others, and now he was getting away with it. If it took a century, the Mewtwo assured himself that he would see justice. " Are you coming?" Link asked wearily, as the rest of the group dissapeared into the woods back towards the campsite. " No." The Mewtwo answered. " What?" Link asked in surprise. " I'm going to find Link and Kirby." The mewtwo declared firmly. " How?" Link frowned, " I don't see how..." " Gannondorf's power will be his undoing. It will guide me to him. As for how I'm going to track him..." The Mewtwo explained as he waved his hand. A large portal formed behind him. Link gazed at it in surprise, " I've seen Zelda's ability long enough to understand how it works. In me flows the blood of a pokemon that could learn any move after seeing it only once. It's only natural that I can come close." With that the Mewtwo turned towards the portal. " You can't do this alone!" Link protested. " Watch me." The Mewtwo said as he dissapeared into the portal. The portal dissapeared seconds later. Leaving a speechless link standing alone in the woods. The Mewtwo reappeared elsewhere. Snow whiped about in the air. The cold weather didn't bother him as much as the fact he could not sense the pressence of Gannondorf's vast amount of shadow energy. As he prepared to open another portal, he heard a faint voice. " Wait! Please! Help me!"
