Walking around the house and grounds earlier today before leaving for the airport, I have to admit to a little wistfullness, trying to capture and hold some of the images and moments from the last couple of days. Bittersweet moments, those, fighting to lock in the clarity and bliss of a particular moment in time. The soft scent of the lilacs drifting in the open windows of the porch; the little yellow bird sharing his presence with me the first couple of days of the week. The fullness and clarity of the moon, mid week and the sense that it heralds phenomenal changes. The significant stranger that shared that moon with me. |

A few facts I've learned over the last week:
> The hurricane season started Tuesday, June 1st. Grab your hats and hang on kids (I'm REALLY glad I didn't know that last year *soft chuckle*).
> A dollar bill goes a lot further....for some *tongue in cheek* than one would believe possible.
> I'd forgotten that the capital of Trinidad and Tobago is The Port of Spain. When Spain is 3200 miles from T&T, why do they tease you like that?
> There are 416 steps between the door and the curb to visitor pickup at the New Orleans airport terminal.

Alright, lets see. The flight down was uneventful, outside of my head, at any rate *soft grin*. Finding myself abandoned at the airport is a new one for me *teasing glance at Jamie* but then, Oscar's exuberant kisses and tail wagging feats make up for that completely...Mmm...come to think of it, so do Jamies *impish grin*. |

WEATHER: 75 to 80 degrees...sticky, sticky, sticky...the humidity has got to be up around 80%. Missed the thunderstorms that happened around noon and dumped a bit of rain. The skies are clear, light clouds scattering in at times. |

We're off to Brennan's for dinner, Tezza's favorite (God bless him)...Louisiana gulf oysters as an appetizer, smoked redfish as an entree *soft shiver*, pecan pie for dessert (while there's still land to jog it off *hehe*)...and a martini at The Bombay Club afterward. Still working on P&G's for Poboys, tomorrow *chuckle*...What do you mean? Yes of course I come for the food *LOL*.
