"But you guys are confusing, what exactly are you all about?" So you want to know what it's like to be a lampshade?

	Well to really understand the lampshades you must follow these guidlines: First have a general apathy to the world surrounding you, the lampshades don't dig reality, reality is bogus. You must be confused, and drunk often. You must never know where you are or where your going, you must forget where you've been. You must merge many styles together without a favorite, so much so, that your original self is lost forever. you must be completly oblivious to other's opinions of you, unless positve, and in the case of a postive remark you must take it as if the remarkee is insincere and secretly lying. you must think of every riff, every word, every drum beat in a song as a part of your brain converted into music. you must be a bored, anti everything, de-motivated, under acheiving slacker/procrastinator. you must bring all others to your level, rip them up in your mind, and then befriend them. you must like nice girls no matter how physically undesirable they might be. your clothes, and especially your shoes must have some aspect of "wear" in them. you must not be an easily identifyable character. The lampshades do not know who or what they are, sounds like a cliche' to me! yes of course, but the lampshades are not anti cliche they embrace the cliche as if it were their very own. you may read, play video games, smoke pot, swim, ice skate, play the cello and/or reed organ, you may bump, grind, wear make up, streak, ram greenbins and/or porto johns, drive a car, tell bad jokes, express your opinion on ANY subject how ever informed or misinformed you may be, play sports, and do many other "uncool" things. It's ok to like the corniest songs, and it's ok to like the heaviest songs, all at the same time. It is not ok to put gel in your hair. wanting to fuck bitches is not ok. wanting to make love is also not ok. skateboarding is not cool, skateboarding was cool in the early ninties. you will also have had to grow out of punk rock, and never do anything that could be considered cool by anyones's standards, including the ritcheous, enlightned indie rockers. contrary to popular belief there is no such thing as "indie rock" music, however, there is such a thing as independent rock music. so to sum it all up... naw.. *Fuck That*
