| It's that time of the year once again. A time for that nice/naugthy list, driving around for 45 mins looking for parking, wwf'ng people for a toy, aggravating long lines and for what? That smile on the persons face when they open your exceptionally wonderful gift. But really, that's not the real reason. It's all about spending the season eating and drinking with family and freinds. Okay since many of you may say 'Oh my gosh, here we go again, another Holiday letter!' Well, with this you can go straight to the 2001 Photo Album or you could just close this window. So, since I've already given you a heads up, now is the time you do whatever you chose, because I'm ready to begin. [Great intro huh...it's such a Michelle intro] I hope this site greets you with the best of health and spirits. May you and your family have the warmest of Christmas and the Joyfulness of New Years!! I would like to take this opportunity to Thank You all for a wonderful year. So what did Ms. Michelle do this year? The changes that occured the year before brought on more experiences to my life. The travel bug took me to wonderful places [not far and exotic, but it was away from the norm]. There were two amazing trips that I took this year: Hawaii in the Spring and San Francisco in the Summer. I don't think I was ready for my trip to Hawaii. This was the first trip I've taken to my birth State since my mom passed away. We left Hawaii when I was a little kid [the Christmas picture on the left, was probably our last Christmas there], so majority of my memories where of what people told me and what my mom shared with us. So when I went, every corner from the time I stepped off the plane was emotional. I was able to over come those emotions and build new and personal memories [Surprising family, spending time with family, Ku'ulei, clubbing at Pipeline Cafe, Zippy's at 300am, Ko'Olina, Saimen House [Ezogiku], Matsimotos, the Real World House and Sam Choy's, Hawaiian Music]. Mahalo! San Francisco was an experience on it's on it's own. I went with a group of wonderful ladies [Valley Freaks]. That trip made me fall in love with San Francisco all over again [If you know me, I have a secret romance with the city]. I got to meet my newest god-daughter, Ashley, for the first time. Galavanting with the girls [People's Cafe on Haight, Ocean Beach, Daly City] and lots of mind stmulating conversations. But the most memorable event was 'Relay for Life,' put on by the Sacramento chapter of American Cancer Society. I've been keeping my eye open for a 'Relay for Life' here in the LA region [so if anyone of you out there know of one, please let me know]. As for school and work, work got the best of me, so I took the semester off. I do plan on continuning my professional student status in the Spring. As for graduation, that day will come one day soon. I'm still currently working at Nielsen Media. I'm getting a lot of experience and building my own network. I would like to continue to work for the media for as long as the industry will have me. This year also brought on the big 25 [I know many of you may be gasping your breath, remembering that age and saying 'that's not old,' but remember when you turned 25]. I wanted to do something special for my birthday, so I took my stuff and went to Hawaii again. Though I didn't bask in the sun, I did however rested and relaxed! Turning 25 took a lot out of me. Besides the r&r, I spent time with my family, kicking back and I managed to hit up new old an new places, Saimen House, Dave and Busters, Ricardo's, Don Ho's Aloha Grill, Zippys and Oceans. What does the year 2002 have in store for me? More traveling, working, school and the biggest event for me 'Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk.' Yup you heard right, in memory of my mother's 5th year anniversary [in Septemeber], I'm planning on walking the 3-day walk from Santa Barbara to Malibu [60 miles] in October. Sometime between now and October I'll be hitting you up for donations. I have to raise a minimum of $1,900 for the walk. In the usual routine of Michelle, here are my shout out's [as professional as I may be, I'm still a real ghetto child inside]: Mom, Melvin, A. Nor, Allan, April, Sr. Noel, Ku'ulei, Armie, Annette, Emil, Joseph, Jay, A. Mely, U. Mark, Kleir, Erlinda, Maribelle, Allyssa, Sheryl, Ashley, Boyet, Dawn, Gem, Dre, Marife, Norma, Marmiko, and to all my family and friends that I missed, place your name here ________! [I feel like a cd Thank you list]!!! Thank you all for everything! I love you all!!! Well, enough of my babbling. May you and your family have a wonderful Holiday Season! This is it until next year! Take care! Love and Miss you all! Peace Out! |
