My name is Shane...aka India Ferrah my drag career started when i was 12ish-13ish i have had such a wonderful time performing and entertaining crowds its quite a rush! I started drag becuase my brothers ex boyfriend (montana st. clair) decided to paint my face one night just for fun and i looked in the mirror and almost passed out i couldnt believe it was me and i absolutley loved it and i said i want to do drag i need to do drag. So here i am i have been performing since i was 14 and have been painting my own face since i was 13. i learned how to dance in a heartbeat and practiced it everyday as well as painting my face and doing hair...i didnt want to be considered "booger" or not that great of a entertainer i want to be the best and i feel if i can work hard enough then i can be the best...my 2 goals in my drag career are: Becoming Miss Gay America and then Miss USofA
I feel that i am a "ok" performer right now im not quite satisfied with all of my performances yet but i keep working on it and i believe im getting better every day...i take drag very seriously unlike some other queens and i think it wil be one of my main options to do in life when i get older. I have ran in 2 pageants and got 1st runner up both times and i coudlnt have had a better time at either pageant! the first pageant i ran in was Miss Roanoke Pride 2002-2003 and OMG lemme tell you i was not expecting anything! it was the biggest crowd i have ever performed in front of for the fact it was "pride in the park" and i loved every second of that day and i will have memories of it forever! the second pageant i ran in was a small hometown pageant up in harrisonburg,va which was: Miss Harrisonburg Newcomer and i got 1st runner up and I was glad to have ran in 2 pageants at such a young age and have gotten 1st runner up both times it kinda lets me know that im not that good yet but i am good enough for this and i can get better!.
I had to learn to do everything on my own jsut for the fact that i felt like if i ever wanted to accomplish anything in a drag career i couldnt depend on other people to do work for me. I have learned to do hair all kinds of ways make alot of diffrent styled costumes learned how to paint my face diffrent ways learned to make my hip pads and mix my own music...i plan on learning alot more in the future but this is enough for now since i am just entertaining right now :o)
