1. Start as soon as possible.
2. Make a time-log to keep track of the amount of time you work on the project and what part of the project you work on (i.e. research, experimental design, etc.)
3. Make a daily schedule for what you will do to work on your project each day.
4. Try using these sites to look up information: Ask Jeeves.com, Ebsco Host, (user name-wake2 and password- password) and Internet Resources for Science and Mathematics
5. Make an outline of your experimental design and type it on the computer. Be sure to save it so that you can use it when creating your webpage.
6. Bookmark the sites you use for easy reference or e-mail the address to your home e-mail (and in case you forget or lose the address)
7. Mark important dates on a calendar and in your planner.
8. Brainstorm a list of ideas.
9. Talk to friends and parents about project and experimental ideas. Sometimes it helps to be able to bounce ideas off other people and see if they have any suggestions to help.
10. Don't just rely on the internet for information. Go to the library and find books, encyclopedia articles, and magazine articles on the topics you are interested in.
