This painting has an interesting story. Everytime in the past when I had completed a painting, my wife Theresa wanted to keep it and hang it in the house. I am not a big fan of hanging MY artwork in the house, mainly because I see it as a sign of vainity, which I am not interested in (funny that I have a web site though.) She never said much, but I could tell she was upset to see many of the other works go. The day before Christmas, I thought it would be nice to give her a painting, one made specifically for her. So I worked feverishly to do a complete painting, wrap it, and have it sitting underneath the tree as though I had done it months ago. I made the deadline. She was very happy to FINALLY get a painting. And yes, it hangs in the house. But that's alright. I am rarely home these days anyway. |
