Still Return
Acrylic on Canvas
24x20
May 2006
There has been an unordinarily long pause between completion of paintings.  A couple years ago I was doing one about every 2-3 months.

This one was has been in progress for nearly 4 years.

I stated it in Washington in 2002...took it with me to Korea in 2003...finally pulled it out here in Florida this year

Honestly, it was giving me fits.  I couldn't get certain elements to look "just right."  Perhaps other artists don't have this problem.  I envy them.

There comes a time however when one must say "It's finished."  Whether it needs something or not...I reached that point.

It has been my desire to paint "emotions"...either within the painting itself, or yielding one from the viewer.  In this case, perhaps I've accomplished both.  Some have asked "what is she thinking" or "why is she so sad."  And others have me "what are you thinking" and "why are you so sad."  Interesting...

This painting is for sale.  Ask me for a quote.  It is easy...just takes an e-mail.
