La Petite Fille De La Mer

Interesting story with this painting.  I had just finished "Unquiet" and went to present it to a a couple of friends as a wedding gift.  After they opened it, another friend present that night asked if he could have a painting done.  I said, sure- What would you like?  I should have known he'd say "a nude" being a bachelor and all.  So I agreed, and solicited (quietly) for a model.  Not the easiest thing to do.  I did find one person willing, but unfortunately, the drawing and subsequent painting proved too challenging.  I needed a photograph so the image would never change.  What we have here is a model from a tasteful magazine.  I omited her head because I figured no one would be looking at her head anyway.  The title translated is "Little lady of the Sea" steming from the differing shades of blue.  I like this painting quite a bit.  The shading isn't represented well here, but the effect is quite nice on the original, and I am proud I was able to paint such a nice butt.
