Imaginary Landscape
Acrylic on Canvas
16 x 20
Jan 03
This painting has gone through a couple of phases prior to this completed look...I wanted it to be a landscape in viewed with two different perspectives...First, as a typical landscape one might encounter on a drive through the country, that is, an aestheticly pleasing look.., Second, as a possible landscape of one's mind...each piece representing a facet of a personality, or a disposition...

Don't follow?  Well, think of it as representational.  As an Imagined landscape and not a literal translation of physical nature.  If you were asked to imagine a landscape, would it include buildings?  People?  Or perhaps it would look like a grassy plain with rolling hills and a few trees...

So, having said that, what would this painting say to you about the person who painted it?

when you are through, just look at it...Because after all, regardless of its meaning...it's still rather pretty looking.
