I was very impressed when I first saw Franz Marc's Foxes. The different layers in the painting were stunning as well as the brilliance of the colours. I decided it would be a good learning experience to try and duplicate the painting as closely as possible. What a chore! I am quite satisfied with the results. It has a very different look if you tlit it on it's side, almost like it has two different scenes. This painting taught me much about blending and shading. If you like this painting, you should see more of Franz Marc's work. If WW I haden't cut his life short, I think he'd have been as famous as any other prominant artist. Shame...
