Ninja Squad
Ending:

*Ninja-spoilers!!!*

The end of Billy`s story would, under normal circumstances, be very sad and tragic, but this is a Gordon film. About to put to rest the tormenting Larry, Billy is surrounded by the police and told to drop his weapon. Reluctantly he does, and walks to hug his girlfriend before he is taken by the police, but lo! Larry is still alive, and shoots poor Billy in the back. As Billy is falling to the ground, his girlfriend in tears Gordon`s face pops up out of nowhere and completely ruins any semblance of emotion the scene might`ve invoked within the watcher. Oh well, nevermind, at least we`re then treated to the silliest ninja fight in the film as repentance.

Positive Points:

+ If you can ignore the hilarious dubbing and ninja sequences, then the film can actually be very touching.
+ Ivan the Red is a magnificent villain well he tries, at least.
+
Ninja Squad has the funniest dubbing of any film I`ve ever seen. To be honest, even if there was a subtitled version, the dubbed version would be well worth the sacrifice of plot.

Negative Points:

- Any seriousness this film could have is negated by the random ninja sequences and ridiculous dubbing
- Any fight sequences that involve Billy are usually crap. The only salvation they have are the death noises and actions the bad guys make.
- Gordon has no moustache!
Ivan is intimidating. So intimidating, in fact, that the ninja in the foreground actually asks Ivan to wait while he changes his ninja suit from white to brown.

Final Thoughts:

Ninja Squad is worth watching if you want a laugh. If you can look past the dubbing and ninja sequences then it might be quite moving. It seems like Billy`s story was intended to be a film on it`s own, but the director decided it was too short/boring/didn`t have enough ninja in, and so stuck Gordon and his pals in and did the dubbing so the two stories would be loosely connected in some way. Worth watching, but don`t pay over 5 for it; although I would.
