12:31am
Hamilton, Bermuda
Hamilton Inn – Charity and Miguel’s room
Charity: Miguel? |She can hardly talk|
Miguel: Oh my god, Charity!
Charity: Miguel, I love you.
Miguel: I love you too Charity.
|Kay watches Miguel hold Charity in his arms|
Kay’s thought: This is unbelievable. I have a chance to get Miguel all to my self!
Charity: Kay. Is that you?
Kay: Yes, it’s me.
Charity: Oh, it’s so nice to see you.
Kay: Wait, you’re not mad at me anymore, for trying to break you and Miguel up?
Charity: No.
Miguel: Charity, who did this to you? Tell me! So I can tare them apart!
Charity: Don’t get angry Miguel.
Miguel: Tell me!
Charity: I’m sorry Miguel. But I won’t. |Charity’s closes her eyes as her body is lifeless in Miguel’s arms|
Miguel: NO!!! No!
Kay’s thought: I can’t believe this. After all of those years of trying to break these two apart and now, 6 years after I stopped and married and about to have a child, Charity dies leaving Miguel all alone. This is so erratic.
Miguel: Kay. Help me put her body on the bed.
Kay: Okay, Miguel.
Meanwhile in Bermuda City, a small town next to Hamilton, Jeff enters a hotel. He gets on the elevator and gets to the 17th floor. He picks the lock on door number 1701. He slips inside the room carefully and stares at Joshua sleeping restfully in his bed.
Jeff: This is the best part of the plan. This is what will set me off scotch free.
|He walks toward Joshua, and pulls out the same gun he shot Charity with. He aims it at him|
Meanwhile, police are investigating Charity and Miguel’s bedroom.
|Kay and Miguel are standing by the door watching|
Kay: What are they looking for Miguel?
Miguel: I guess we’ll find out. Come on. |Miguel takes Kay’s hand and brings her toward the police men|
Miguel: Did you find any evidence?
Detective George Hymen. No, we didn’t. Not one shred.
Miguel: Wait a minute. What is that? |Miguel points to clothes that appear to be under the bed|
Detective: What is it?
Miguel: |Picking up the shirt and pants.| These aren’t mine.
Detective: Hmm, let me see those pants.
|Miguel hands him the pants and he takes out a wallet|
Detective: Hah. Just as I suspected.
Miguel: What is it?
Detective: Sir, I’m afraid your wife was raped again.
Miguel: Again? What? No, you must have made a mistake.
Detective: Didn’t your wife tell you?
Miguel: Tell me what?
Detective: Oh. I thought that she might have told you by now.
Miguel: What didn’t she tell me?
Detective: Your wife was raped the other night.
Miguel: WHAT!
Detective: She was raped by a young man named Joshua Donner. He’s been in Jail ever since. It seems that your wife went to a party down at that beach house at the edge of the beach that night looking for you. Joshua slipped a drug in her drink and later raped her. They must have both fallen asleep and when your wife woke up in bed with Mr. Donner she screamed and called the police. This was after she found Jeffrey Collins beat up in the closet. He tried to stop the rape but he couldn’t.
Miguel: I can’t believe what I am hearing. Why didn’t she tell me?
Kay: Miguel, I won’t leave you.
Miguel: I know Kay.
Detective: But we just recently released Joshua after he was proved not guilty. He kept saying that Jeffrey really raped her. And we didn’t really have any proof that neither of them did.
Miguel: Wasn’t Charity’s word good enough?
Detective: Not in this court of law.
Kay: What are you getting at officer?
Detective: I’m afraid we made a big mistake by releasing Joshua. This is his wallet as well as his clothing.
Miguel: You! Why did you release him?
Detective: We’re truly sorry Mr. Lopez-Fitzgerald. But we will find Joshua Donner and arrest him. He may even be put to death.
Meanwhile Jeff puts the gun down and smiles.
Jeff: |Sigh| Well, unfortunately I can’t kill you. Cause that would ruin my entire plan.
|Jeff takes the gun and puts it in Joshua’s hands. Jeff is wearing gloves so that they can’t trace his fingerprints|
Jeff: There. My plan is complete. Now all I have to do is …
|Police sirens go off and the police pound on Joshua’s door|
Jeff: Oh my god. Oh my god.
Police: Open up! We know you’re in there!
