Unrequited Love His eyes, of raw burnt amber Looked straight into her soul But he didn't see her dreams or her unattempted goals. He saw a girl confused on life not knowing what to do Should she fall in love with him her feelings oh so new, He didn't know it was him she dreamed would carry her away. He only knew somehow what was happening this day A simple change within ones soul was all that he could see He had no clue to what he did to her heart, he held the key For they were both betrothed but then why should she feel this way? His eyes of raw burnt amber, and she had to look away She'd waited all her life to fall in love this way If only he'd get the nerve and just ask for her to stay He never let his feelings show but somehow, someway she knew That sometimes when he looked at her He felt the same way too, His eyes, of raw burnt amber looking right into her heart She tried to capture his but soon they had to part Her love for him remains this day and still she never knew All the secrets within his own heart that deep down he wanted her too.
