John O'Brien TD

John O'Brien was elected as T.D for Kerry North in the General Election of 2002, taking the first Fianna Fail seat in the Kerry North constituency. John had previously been elected to Seanad Eireann (on the Industrial and Commercial Panel) in June 2000.

Since June 2002 John has been appointed by An Taoiseach to the following positions:

• Member of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport
• Head of the Irish Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organisation for Security & Cooperation in Europe(OSCE),
• Member of the British/Irish Parliamentary Body
• Member of the Oireachtas Committee on Procedure & Privileges

In the 28th Dail he served as a member of the Oireachtas Committee on Tourism,Sport and Recreation.
