Tá Coláiste na nOileán suite i gceartlár na Gaeltachta ins an gCeathrú Rua, áit ina bhfuil seans iontach ag daltaí feabhas agus forbairt a chur ar a gcuid Gaeilge chomh maith le heolas a fháil ar a stair agus a gcultúr.

Tá an Coláiste ag rith cúrsaí Gaeilge le os cionn 50 bliain agus i rith na h-ama seo tá cúrsa cuimsitheach curtha le chéile againn, mar aon le leabhrán speisealta do dhaltaí na h-Ardteiste agus do dhaltaí an Teastas Sóisiareach.

Located in An Cheathrú Rua in the heart of the Conamara Gaeltacht, Coláiste na nOileán provides the ideal base for students to futher their appreciation and knowledge of not only the Irish language but also of our rich historical culture.

Coláiste Samhraidh Cholumba has been running Irish courses in the Gaeltacht for over fifty years. Our experience and expertise have enabled us to provide an excellent service to all our students, ensuring that they return home with a greatly enhanced appreciation and grasp of the language and our culture.

We use the communicative approach and avail of all modern teaching aids as well as drama and other techniques to ensure that each student has the greatest opportunity to improve his or her Irish.
