5-1:
| He has really really high regeneration, it is next to impossible to solo because of it... and could probably be Duo'ed.. but not with certain jobs. My attempt at brd + rdm duo ended in running away. the most we got it was about 30%... then i ran out of MP and it regened. After defeating him once you may enter the Stone Door at anytime without fighting him again. |

5-2:
Promyvion-Vahzl is lvl 50 limit and fairly easy to get through even without a map. your task at hand:
|

| Please note to not have anyone touch the Memory Flux until you are ready. Upon touching it, it will immediately spawn the NM. all the NMs from the Fluxes aren't too difficult but can be dangerous if not prepared like you would an ENM. (not difficult but you need to be on guard with the right supplies). Also, there is a ??? on one of the levels kinda near some trees... if you touch it, you're going to spawn a NM for I'm not sure what, but it's a bad idea. no touchy the ???. |

|
When zoning into the Spire you get another cutscene, then prepare for the fight. same as all the other promyvions. However, the BC includes 3 Mobs instead of 1: -Procreator--Left side, Gorger Mob aligned with Wind. -Cumulator--Middle, Craver Mob aligned with Water. -Agonizer--Right side, Thinker Mob Aligned with Ice. The recommended order is middle > left > right due to the abilities each has. When the Cumulator is around 20% HP, Procreator will start moving and someone must kite or bind it while the first is finished quickly. When Procreator is down to 20% HP, Agonizer starts moving. Be aware that if damage is inflicted on the NM that are just sitting in the arena they will aggro, so do not use AOE magic or Astral Flow near the other mobs or all three will attack you. It is an easier BC than the original Promyvions, but it's not to be laughed at; if they spam specials on you, you can easily lose. Your Animas will work in the BC if needed. the group i went with had trouble early on due to specials and had low HP/MP so the second mob was kited about the BC by our ninja while everyone rested. If needed this is very useful to regain your calm as well as HP/MP. Continue fighting them off till you win. If you feel the need to have animas it is a very very very good idea to have hysteroanimas for the mea mob. |
|
For those who have defeated the NM's at the Memory Flux, you may re-enter Promyvion-Vahzl at those points at any time. Selecting the Stone Door at (H-8) in Pso'Xja gives the following options: Enter. Warp to the Propagator. Warp to the Solicitor. Warp to the Ponderer. Leave. |
5-3: Just like 3-3; you can do them in any order. after completing all of them speak with Cid to finish Chapter 5.
| Note: most of this was written before many updates. it is a good idea to talk to an NPC more than once to make sure you get the correct cutscene. people seem to have trouble with the diabolos NPC. |

You then have 4 options to get to the BC: -Go through Oldton and Newton, Speak with Tarnotik at (K-10) in Oldton Movalpolos; He will teleport you to Mine Shaft #2716 in exchange for a Snow Lily. -If you have Return to the Depths quest activated and to the Mineshaft portion you can also trade an Ariman Tear to Tarnotik and he will warp you there as well. -You can find two other buddies, some firesand and physically run through Oldton and Newton. -You can gamble with the ENM moblin at the East entrance from Ngustaberg and then pay 2k each time to the same moblin to be warped so long as you have the ENM key item. |
| You will all need a Gold Key dropped from drop from moblin fireman, packman, lengthman, or yardman in Newton to finish this mission. If you do not have to have it when the BC ends, you can come back later and do this. |
When you arrive at the Mineshaft get ready, you'll need to buff inside. This is a level 60 BC. no matter what other guides tell you: it is not a lvl 50 BC.

|
BC consists of: -Bugbby a bugbear. War/Mnk. able to use Mighty strikes and can Counter you. -Chekochuk a moblin. Blm -Movamuq a moblin. Whm -Swipostik a moblin. Thfbr> -Trikotrak a moblin. Rdm All general Debuffs work on all Moblins as well as bugbear. Gravity and Bind work well on the bugbear. It's easiest if you can kite Bugbby while you kill off the moblins. Keep in mind the Bugbear has shared hate with the moblins. they will call him back to hit whoever has hate periodically throughout the fight. I have everyone kill mobs in this order: T => C => M => S => Bug. They all have two hours. |

| Ok. This is a pre-warning. This part of the quest is going to make you want to kill yourself. Make sure when you go you have -everyone- you need with you, it -cannot- be soloed, duoed, etc. You need at least 1 full party. Also make sure you have at least a good hour to spend on this. Expect extra creatures besides the dolls you kill to open doors. You will travel through a series of 16 Stone Doors which may or may not trigger a trap that spawns a Gargoyle. I'd say on average, you're going to trigger 15/16 of them. Don't look for an easy stroll, it gets annoying even with 2 parties. Sometimes things will aggro through doors later on, so watch yourself. You will end up killing about 30-40 mobs total. When you kill a Doll, the door will open for about 30 seconds, so make sure everyone goes through. If someone is lagging behind, bitch at them until they get their lazy arse up and through the door. There is no waiting for rest. If you do not get through the door closes and you have X amount of people in the room which have to kill the doll again just to get through. I have read that if you try to open the door from the opposite side you will be warped out of Pso Xja. I do not know if this is fact or fiction. After passing through all 16 doors you will come upon an elevator. |

---5-3B2:
| Disaster Idol. He's easy and a joke, 8 people took him out in about 45 seconds. he -can- cast tier 3 -ga... but.. he's a pushover. 75 Smn can solo. |
| Everyone's going to need prisim powder and oil. a lot of stuff is going to aggro and there is Magic Aggro. Baically work your way to the avatar gate at the bottom of the elevator by following the map below. There are numerous goblins and pots at the bottom... so, yeah, it can be painful if you get aggro. Have someone with sleepga or escape ready just incase. After you get the Cutscene at the avatar gate, feel free to get the hell out of there. |

For the BC: you can have a blackened muddy siredon(quest) which will stop them from gaining TP for about 30 seconds, or you can just bring a summoner and end the BC in about 2 min easily. either way, here we go:
+Left: Shikaree X. Bst. She has a rabbit pet that she can resummon if killed. |

| The Mithras can and will do level 3 skillchains on you. the best/ideal way to go about the BC is to have a pld, smn and blm, maybe even 2 plds to play it safe or more smns. ES sleepga them to begin. have pally voking the mithras while they are asleep. Make sure your Summoner is Astral Flowing with an avatar of the elemental day you attempt(using BP) at the same time the Pld makes his first provoke. (blm it is a good idea to pick off the wyvern after this with a tier II spell so it will not healing breath the mithras). Make sure Smn is in BP reduction time gear. have them use Eithers and astral flow as fast as they can. have the pally use 2 hour as soon as the first avatar dies. it takes about 2-3 astral flows to kill all three at once. Pld runs in, provoke, invincible near -immediately- if needed. otherwise, good luck with your party setup and may the force be with you. o.O |

---5-3C3: Almost done. allllllmoooooost!
|
BC fight: Snoll Tzar. you have to do around 9000 damage in about 45 seconds. (if anyone can get a better estime of HP, much appreciated). you can extend your time with a Shu'Meyo Salt(quest) for about 15 seconds. you must wait till the Tzar "shakes off the salt" before your next will have effect. it takes about 5-10 seconds to use the salt. -Timer starts when you run at the bomb. until then it is a 30 minute BC -It is weak vs. fire -It can be slept -It uses AOE Frost move -It hits a pld for around 100 damage a hit -It is a bitch -It can explode and everyone can be kicked from the BC without anyone dying. -Once it explodes you are expelled from the BC. no ifs, ands, buts, etc. pld and smn work very well, but ninja can also tank it. if possible i'd like to get a battle description of how it worked with a nin tank. this is how my party worked. it worked a couple times as well: Pld, Smn, Sam/rng, Rdm, Whm, Rdm. Smn Stoneskin, AA and Fenrir buffs, party buffs, barblizzara, Sam meditates to 300, etc. Pld runs in first and provokes bomb, smn gets 2 hour off right away, Ifrit then tanks the battle for a few. Rdm #1 fire II, rdm #2 chainspell right away fire II. Pld Invincible after ifrit dies rather fast. sam continues onslaught via ranged attack. Rdm #1 uses chainspell fire II spam, whm WS, rdm #2 is in the middle of chainspell. Pld uses salt while invincible. Sam 2 hour, smn astral again, rdms finish chainspell, bomb dies. (it's a little different then that in the actual with timing and how it works, but that's the jist of it) after winning the BC... watch your HP. Frost takes about 20 HP a tick, make sure to heal/erase anyone that has it or they can/will die. |
| This ends the hell that is Chapter 5. |
