They told me that stars were to wish on
Yet I've made so many wishes
More than I could keep track of
And not one of them dared to come true
They told me that promises were to keep
Secrets that I told to so many friends
They whom promised never to tell
But in the end, they always ended up untrue
They told me that dreams should be kept alive
No matter how hard I try, I fail
As I watch the darkness fill the world
Day by day, dreams crumble impetuously
I can't help but cry as I look at this land
A land that seems to have been destroyed
Man's hand is so cruel, yet unavoidable
The Earth is slowly dying; we're causing it
We can't blame the slow demise on anyone else
For in truth, it's mainly our problem and fault
We kill without mercy, hearts darkened
Yet in the end, the outcome is almost the same
We can keep making wishes
We can keep making promises
We can keep making dreams
Innocence will just be lost once more
