Eternal Flame (Original Poem)

Life seems so short at times
As we go around and 'round
And yet sometimes still
Life seems never ending
We all go through it
As if it's a pre-destined fate
Losing ones that we care for
And yet, wishing it'll never end
So is this the game you and I play?
Expectedly almost every day
Searching for that one
Yet silent when our time is done
And so, before I take my last breath
Only then will I make this last wish
May our souls rest in eternal peace
Just like the gently blowing breeze
Together until the end of time
But even then you'll still be mine
