Darkness surrounds me
I call out and no one answers
A blade cuts through my heart, through my soul
So this is what it feels to be truly alone

I never should've trusted anyone
I should've realized that I would just be hurt again
Maybe I was never meant to be born
Yes, my whole life was one big mistake
One action and all will be done
No more people to care about
No more being hurt time and time again
Life will resume as if I never was there
But here are still a few whom I can rely on
And even though I've let my defenses down so many times
I'm not letting that happen again
I'm not going to be hurt anymore
Too many times have I let that happen
And each and every time, I've been put down once again
I'm not going to let anyone too close
For then I might start caring again
