Cherry Blossoms in Sendai
The photos below were all taken in Tsutsujigaoka Park in Sendai this spring (2001). This is one of the prime cherry blossom-viewing spots in Sendai. It is only about 20 minutes from Sendai Station by foot. However, it is not the only place in Sendai to enjoy the splendid explosions of cherry blossoms in their various shades of pink and near-white. All the photos are from this park because it just happens that I got there early enough before the masses. By the time, I got to Nishi Koen, it was a little too crowded for my liking and for good photos of the Sakura only.
