BATES, WALTER H., 82 of 1220 Live Oak Parkway, Tarpon Springs, died Wednesday (June 8, 1983). Born in Olean, N.Y., he came here 20 years ago from San Antonio, Texas, and was an Air Force technical sergeant and veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a life member of VFW Post 10167, Holiday, Air Force Sergeants Association, and Harlandale Masonic Lodge 1213, San Antonio. Survivors incud his wife Erna; a son Walter F., Lower Burrell, Pa.; three daughters, Betty George and Patty Brawner, both of Phoeniz, Ariz., and Barbara Miller, New Kensington, Pa.; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
