One year ago on this very day there was a day that would live in infamy and drive your host Mark T from Indiana's premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark for the rest of the season. How times have changed and I am glad the act got cleaned up. Today it was much busier than last year. I started off at the dragon where it is watch out for them bees. Hopefully, they will due something about that as there are a whole bunch of bees right as you get to the top of the stairs if you don't get bit by the dragon maybe the bees will sting you.
I went on each dragon slide 2x and at the bottom was Ashley who reminds me that I think Outside Providence is by far the worst movie ever made. Ashley would be working tonight at Sears because of something called family and friends night. Apparently this is to show off the new bathrooms. I guess what this is is that sears workers persuade family and friends to please shop at Sears so we can keep our jobs and not have to close the store that no one shops at. I can not imagine who says to themselves I'd like to go at 6:00 p.m. after the mall closes on a Sunday night and go shop in a Sears that would be so much fun.
The stair count went to 376 and over to the storm I went rode the vortex followed by the abyss 2x Rebecca was there and so was chaos at the top of the storm many people made their way to the top in no semblence of order and several with tubes just standing at the top of the storm. Chaos is usually at the cage but today it made it to the top. I went to my favorite ride whitewater can you believe today is Jamie's last day I would need a picture of that but first must ride the slide I got down just in the nick of time if I ever finish off the roll finally you will see our pal Jamie.
I went around the river 1.5x today at least wasn't trapped like yesterday. I returned to the storm to ride the abyss. Can you believe it is Nancy's last day with arm in decorative sling and all how will I get a pic of her with her sister Rebecca with time running out that is going to be a bit tough. On my last time on the abyss there was Nancy at the vortex one arm and all trying to push people down the slide in various fashions now that is a trooper.
I went on my favorite ride whitewater and at the top was Rebecca and I asked her if she would have her picture taken with her sister and she said "No not with her no way" I just love to hear Rebecca talk it is so great. I went back to the storm and went on the Abyss Nancy was still there and camera was in hand I took her picture and let her know the news she said that is because her sister is mean. No she isn't I will determine who is mean and the mean girl is mean but Rebecca is nice and sweet and we like her alot. The stair count 1,040 for the day making it 69,000 for the year. Ashley was now at the cage she is very excited about Sears it's no Target even though Ashley has never seen the "Ever So Delightful Dana" she does exist and luckily I saw her just last week so changed back to the red trunks because shirts at targer are red. "The Ever So Delightful Dana" is my favorite of all time? well perhaps but in the end I never get the girl that is the way the story must end. It is what makes me Mark T a sad lonely guy simply waiting to die.
Well at the conclusion of today there are only 5 days left for Deep River Waterpark this year weekends only. I will not even get to the park 50x this year which is pretty sad this only marked my 43rd time this year there most can get to is 48 times this season but I am on a downward spiral. It is my intention to have one more year in 2004 to climb 100,000 stairs once again and then to retire after a decade. We have this year and then next year it should be time for Mark T's farewell tour but why not have fun while we still can. Deep River Waterpark is now closed but will reopen on Saturday August 23, 2003 at 10 a.m. I'll see you there.
Deep River Waterpark is now open on weekends only through Labor Day. It was 9:46 and 83 degrees when I returned and quite a crowd was already forming. It was obviously going to be a very busy day so I started the day at the dragon. It was a little humid today that makes it a little more difficult to breath for me but up the dragon I went first on the curved slide and then on the straight. Nancy with arm in decorative sling I like that said I could not splash her on the curved one so I tried 5x and got pretty close but not close enough. I could not just keep going on the dragon all day today make it 15 degrees cooler with no humidity and I can go all day I mean once I rode it 33x in a row with little to no line. Today only 7x stair count to 658.
From there I went on each storm slide once begining with the vortex and the stair count quickly went to 850. I then took the opportunity to ride my favorite ride of them all whitewater and it was time to play everyone's favorite game "Where's Emily?" if you guessed whitewater attendant you are right. She was behind a bush with some tubes so probably didn't think I would find her but I right away knew hey that's Emily and I found her. On a hot day I need plenty of rest so into the river I would go and once around the gal at wavepool river was Kelly so that is who that cute girl at the vortex was on Wednesday with her hair in pigtails that Emily didn't know. I asked her when she started working here and she said 2 years ago I don't know how I missed her in all that time. However, I needed to make sure this was the same cute girl so once agair I went around and asked her if she had a tattoo. She asked if I could see it don't give me that much credit my eyesight has deteriorated but I can see if you are close to me or with the glasses my vision corrected to 20/20 I just know the cute girl had her hair in pigtails and a tattoo. She did so this indeed is her I am surprised she did not make it onto my radar she is really extremely cute. I wonder if she would wear her hair in pigtails again and let me take a picture of her that would make me really happy. She had a blue visor I don't like that and for those of you who know Mark T Kelly's birthday is October 18 you know what that means.
I wanted to get out of the river but the stairs did not leave an opening that is why people end up going around and around because no space to get out so I went around a 3rd time and made my way out and then I returned to the storm. I rode the cyclone 2x followed by the abyss once and then I switched to the vortex because the attendant Rebecca my 2003 Co female rookie lifeguard of the year who did say hello I like that oh who am I kidding I love it her voice is so great I just love to hear her talk went up there and the line went from being down to the ground at the vortex to not even being one flight down boy is she good and a few times she spoke that makes me so happy. Today was not her last day that is good. I did not know how many times I rode her slide I just knew it was 1,470 stairs and I hoped she had a wonderful day it was 6x I went from sister to sister that was fun. I learned Nancy got the sling from pulling a larger fellow down the abyss I am glad that I haven't injured any guards like that. She said I wasn't big I appreciate her saying that it is nice but if I had my picture taken next to Rebecca I think I'd look big. I wonder if the sisters would let me take there picture together that would be fun. I still have 24 pictures to go with a non waterproof camera.
With the stair count at 1,470 and people pouring in including numerous busses I hit the road at least I know I get to return tomorrow morning that is great often times things don't work that way on a Sunday. The stair count for the year goes to 67,960 which makes the stairs climbed at Deep River Waterpark since the count began in 1998 477,676 which is a lot of stairs in 6 summers. In 1998 it was 65,000 in 1999 73,200 in 2000 92,000 in 2001 100,000 in 2002 79,516 and what do you think the final count will be in 2003?
It was 12:18 and a blistering 88 degrees when I left Deep River Waterpark. You should come out tomorrow because if you don't you have to wait until Saturday August 23 because the park will be closed during the day. Don't miss this chance to come out to Deep River Waterpark. I'll see you there.
It was 9:55 and 75 degrees when I returned to Deep River Waterpark for the very last weekday this year remember there are only 2 more weekdays left in 2003 as the park will be closed from August 18-August 22, 2003 and then again from August 25-August 29, 2003. This morning the cleanliness of the park disappointed me. I went on my favorite ride first which is whitewater and the stairs were littered with trash a couple of cups and some perhaps rubber gloves. I rode it 3x followed by each body slide once.
It was then over to the dragon and while the dragon bites you had to cross a bunch of bees to get to that. Luckily at the time there was no line so I was able to ride it a couple of times. It was then over to the storm and well that I dont even wish to repeat what I had to see time after time after time as you walked to the abyss. At the top of the abyss was David good to see him. There seemed to be some campers who did not want to ride. Very busy lots of busses today. I left with the stair count at 1,080
I returned because I could at 3:50 p.m. on my way in I stopped at the Sears to see if I could see Ashley and the bathroom remodeling I did not see her she was probably in the bathroom. I actually stopped to have my glasses repaired since the stem fell off and I was driving hoping that the spectacles would stay on. At least in the afternoon the trash was gone good job. It is Mistys last day but I got a picture of her so maybe one day it will be published I only have 24 more to go with a non waterproof camera.
I heard from numerous sources about what happened at the wave pool while I was away. I dont go into the wavepool but that is just my preference no stairs there. I did get to go around the lazy river this afternoon and that was fun and Erin was not wearing the fun sandals which is probably why I could not take her picture today but she said another day. Tick Tock Tick Tock time is running out. I went to the storm and it was time to play Everyones favorite game Wheres Emily? If you guessed at the top of the abyss you would be right. The prize I got to wear her sunglasses down her slide and that is rather difficult to do on the abyss. Her line was the best moving so up and down I went. I did not get over to the vortex but I wanted to know that girls name her hair was in pigtails and she had a little tattoo I think perhaps of a butterfly on her back. I asked Emily and she did not know. How will I ever know now? The stair count was 1,760 making it 66,490 for the season
It was 5:15 and 83 degrees when I left oh tomorrow James brings out the grill with the shrimp and pineapple and a whole host of strange things and unfortunately probably those stupid shirts but at least you will be able to find him. Make sure to stop by you wont get cotton candy but maybe something else and pretend like you like the shirts it will be difficult to do. Time is running out so get to Deep River Waterpark today. Ill see you there.
My designated picture taker this evening managed to take one picture leaving me with only 26 more to take with a kodak funsaver which isn't even waterproof. The one picture she got was of the 2003 male rookie lifeguard of the year Mark T's 2003 Gabbin With Guards and you would see that was Clint. I was happy today because yesterday it was the return of "The Ever So Delightful Dana" into my field of vision so I returned to the red trunks tonight it has been a long time coming.
It was 5:15 p.m. and 75 degrees when I returned today it was time to play everyone's favorite game and if you guessed tube attendant and that she was wearing shoes you really are good. I took the tour in reverse today starting with the body slides and then the tube slide and each storm slide and then to the dragon. It was time to take a spin around the river. Good to see Julie but my sister says she looked really mean can you believe that. She isn't the mean girl. She was just restless. Ashley was at wavepool river but it was not her last days. Good news the bathrooms are done at Sears. I don't know why that would make people shop there but Ashley says she spends alot of time in there so she doesn't have to ring up customers. Who would think that their would be customers at Sears? Ashley is not anorexic I repeat she is not anorexic.
It was good to see James at some sort of grill that sold shrimp and pineapple. It was much different than cotton candy. It was bad to see those flowery shirts I really don't like them one bit. I went on the tube slide once and then the cyclone and the abyss followed by 4 times on the dragon 2x on each storm. Not much of a feel to this night it was a breezy night and you could tell it was the end. The stair count went to 1,060 making it 64,730 for the year. Tomorrow I return solo maybe once maybe twice who knows just have to wait and see only 3 weekdays remain this year so come on out to Deep River Waterpark now. I'll see you there
On the Colgate Total Plus Whitening toothpaste that I use the cap can either be twisted off or be used as a flip top. Personally I prefer to flip the top because that way you don't have to worry about where you put the cap. Who knew one could find such joy in the cap of a toothpaste tube but this sure is clever. If you are looking for even more joy come to Deep River Waterpark for the very last full week of the season. Yes thats right even more joy. The upcoming week from August 10-August 17 Deep River Waterpark will be open daily from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. after that only 5 weekend dates including labor day Monday September 1 will remain.
It was 10:06 a.m. and 75 degrees when I returned this morning. One could tell that it was going to be a busy day so for me there would not be much time to play. I started off at the Dragon and I went down the curved slide 2x the steep one 2x and then each one once after that. The stair count quickly went to 564 just like that. Siobhan was at the bottom she has a very nice smile I like that. She was not feeling to good today last night she was at Mike's house and I think to all of us that makes 2 things crystal cathedrial clear so we will leave it at that. Next I went over to the storm and I rode each slide excluding the vortex and abyss 4x so I rode the cyclone 4x it was good to see David do you think he should be the 2003 Male lifeguard of the year. Everyone loves David in fact the other day when I was at the top of the Dragon I heard and I quote Lisa say "I love David." but then who doesnt?
I rode my favorite ride of them all once today how about that it is whitewater and then around the river I went and Erin was there in a chair I really like her sandals so perhaps she will win. She tried to do my trademark wave just stop that everyone knows the wave I do I have done it for years other people can't be stealing my material like that wave and all my catch phrases come up with your own. I mean if Erin were over 18 I am sure she would have an adjective to go with her name. What could be her catch phrase oh and lets not forget time is running out for her to ride the storm with me this year.
I then returned to the storm and got to ride the vortex and abyss just once today. The last ride was the cyclone the stair count today 1,120 not bad for what looked to be turning into a very busy day. The total stairs climbed this year 63,670 I return sometime in the afternoon tomorrow we will see can I still walk 2 miles earlier in the day and climb over 1,000 stairs you will just have to wait and see. Time is running out so get to Deep River Waterpark right now. I'll see you there.
It was 9:54 and 74 degrees when I returned to Deep River Waterpark after a long time away as I left like at 8:10 p.m. last night. Today I decided to tour the park in reverse starting with the body slides and it was a "Totally Terrific Day" as near the bottom of the tube slide was the "Totally Terrific Tina" apparently she was having a pow wow with Siobhan probably playing guess what the attendance will be today and getting the weather forecast. She was wearing a sweatshirt even though I can not explain why. Later in the day I saw Lauren and she was not wearing a sweatshirt and she said it was because it was to hot.
I got to ride my favorite ride whitewater and then starting with the vortex made it through and over to the dragon nd at the bottom was Alex who I love and what a beautiful day it would be I mean who could ask for anything more the only thing better would be a picture of Alex and "The Totally Terrific Tina" together now that would be a pleasure overload. Once I finished the reverse tour I started it from the dragon but when I got to the storm I got distracted things like that happen because at the cyclone which may be the only slide she can run was Lisa and she is so good at keeping that line moving which is why in Mark T's 2003 Gabbin With Guards I name Lisa the best female storm pusher. I went on the cyclone several times.
It was then back to my favorite ride before returning to the storm and now Alex was the attendant and first she was standing and then she was sitting in a chair sideways because she didn't want to get marks on her back. At 12:10 p.m. I left the park with a stair count of 1,840 the temperature was 79 degrees.
It was so nice why not do it twice because there are not many weekdays left to enjoy Deep River Waterpark this year just the rest of this week and next and then its weekends only. Plus I know the parks customers better than anyone and I usually know around what time the busess will be leaving to let me play on any slide I want. It was 3:38 and 83 degrees when I returned. I went on my favorite ride first but there something bit me the left big toe. Oh no. Good news it was time to Play Everyone's Favorite Game "Where's Emily?" If you guessed at the bottom of whitewater you would be correct. I went on each storm ride once and yes Jake did receive the award for best sunglasses because he has the best sunglasses according to me Mark T and I am considering him for another award.
After that I went and rode the dragon 4x it is fun a little bit tougher with the camera flailing but hey I will still put my safety record up against anyone most times I can get a pain free ride down the dragon. I rode the cureved one once followed by the straight one 3x and then I went and rode the cyclone 2x and the stair count went to 2580 and I decided to go on my favorite ride of them all and this time up at the top was the mean girl and hence she speaks as she asked how was I today I was very worried she was going to yell at me. She did not I was relieved her hair was in pig tails very cute I like that. I then went around the river and there was Siobhan who said she was going and around the rive I went and asked "The Totally Terrific Tina" if she thought Jimmy the Cuz would have his picture taken with her and she was sure he would not go for that. Apparently he isn't popular enough for picture taking.
I went around and even though she said she would go right at the same stand was Siobhan can you believe that? I can't know every lifeguard as there are over 100 and my time this year especially is extremely limited but I knew that "The Totally Terrific Tina" was on the river and that mean girl whose name I don't know was at the top of whitewater. I got rested up and went back to the dragon because that is the way to get some stairs. I did that 4x. I then went on each storm ride again. Alex was once again the attendant and now she had from somewhere gotten a small chair and was sitting in it. There is a high chair that is provided but she said the regular chair was better for short people. I like short people. I love Alex.
After that I went back to my favorite ride again hoping things would be better there now but this time it was self service as there was no lifeguard at the top of the slide and people just looked and determined when to go. I don't like that. I mean if we want to get to that open up during the last 2 weeks in August and I'll tell myself when to go the strangest thing about it was this was at cleaning time so numerous lifeguards were walking around cleaning but not one at the top of the slide at least 10 people went down the slide and eventually a lifeguard came to the top. I took a quick spin like 1/4 the way around the lazy river and then for the last ride I went on my favorite storm ride the cyclone and that made the stair count today 3,300 and 62,550 for the year who says I still can't climb more stairs than anyone during the summer?
I left the park at 5:36 the temperature was 83 degrees. Why not come to Deep River Waterpark Thursday and or Friday as the weekdays run out. I can't be back until Saturday but thad doesn't mean you shouldn't play so go to Deep River Waterpark right now. You'll have a splashtastic time and maybe Kristy will tell you to have a nice night. I'll see you there.
After tonight only one Tubin Tuesday remains this year. You need to get to Deep River Waterpark next Tuesday night. Tubin Tuesday is from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and is only $7.00 it will be your last chance to visit the park at night this year. It was 5:12 p.m. and 79 degrees when I returned to Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course. Tonight was a night that didn't have a feeling to it. It was just kind of there. You can take it fast or you can take it slow so tonight I took it slow.
I went on each storm ride once followed by my favorite ride of them all the tube slide I rode that 2x followed by each body slide once. You know on Saturday I happen to hear some people talking about the park and they said and I quote "This park is old and run down" I'd like to disagree but things like the sign up at the top of the body slide make it really tough. It has the rules of the slide and is badly peeled and does look like something you would find at an abandoned place. It is really bad at this point it would probably be best to just take it down since you can't read the rules on it anyway.
I rode the lazy river 1/2 a time and then went to the dragon and began the tour I went on each dragon slide followed by each storm slide and then it was cris cross to the body slides and then to my favorite slide again the tube slide the tube slide is so nice why not ride it twice so I did and this time covered the other half of the lazy river. Good to see Dustin tonight. It was time to take the tour again. Only went on the curved dragon slide and each storm slide I just missed Mike isn't that something but he would be back at 7:00 p.m. and we had no idea what time it was.
Earlier it was good to see Amy along with Misty they got tootsie pops since Misty insisted that I bring back Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tooooooooooosday the red went well tonight still have quite a few left maybe can move some tomorrow. Amy has red hair I like that. Misty's fiance well boyfriend hopefully fiance as I think she should marry him also has red hair. I feel everyone should get married off as I would not wish the lonlinest I battle many a day even on my greatest of enemies although I don't know who that would be these days sinc I have gotten over the Jordan Rules and I made sure Peka was ousted from the World's only Superbank "Citibank" I know we are all hoping Misty gets married and quickly.
I went around the river and there was that depressed girl she fascinates me and guess what I was sending Siobhan to find out her name for me but that Misty who can make people do a lot of thing made me ask her myself since she was sitting right near me as the tube attendant. Her name is Justine or Justin with an E I like that. She is the same height as Siobhan because I saw them standing next to one another shoot I missed that shot they are both 5' 6" I like that. As I went around the river once this Justine had some hair standing straight up like an indian and I told her so and then I came back around and the same hair was standing straight up. I asked if I could take her picture and she said sure I like that. I told her about this hair and she tried to put it down but was unsuccessful and said it didn't care so I took the shot I would then go get her some tootsie pops. She was still there that was good this time her hair was fixed so I took another picture and now you will get to see the lifeguard who has become a Mark T favorite I have never met anyone that fascinated me more although she says she is not depressed.
I heard from Misty that Mike was finally at the top of the storm so I could make it there now earlier Siobhan had been being bit by mosquitos and I was ok until the sun was going down and it was about this time but I had to go and see Mike and he did an excellent job and that is good because he is in my final 3 to be the 2003 Male lifeguard of the year. I rode the cyclone 4x and then my last ride was my favorite ride whitewater where Dustin was at the top he asked who the hottest lifeguard is this year I can't answer that on the grounds it would incriminate me and I happen to have favorites "The Totally Terrific Tina" who really loves to play with my hear and Alex who I love. It is not my place to comment on how hot lifeguards are you have to come and see that yourself this year I don't think you will be to disappointed with the new crew if I knew their ages I might comment but since I don't I won't. I should have some pictures of some of the guards and I think most people will agree every one of thm is hot.
I learned that Justine is going to Texas everything is better in Texas. She will be back on the 8th so not done for the year that is good. She wants to works with animals I don't know why. I have 3 fears I am absoultey terrifed of dogs. They bite they bark. A brother in law of a lady I work with just had his hand bitten by a dog he knew. Justine has 2 that sleep with her. A guy with a name that started with a J said he has actually seen Justine when she was happy really happy I find that very hard to believe. My other fear is the telephone I seldom answer my own phone but when I do my older sister just feels bad for the telemarketers on the other end. She says they probably placed me on the no call list themselves. My 3rd fear is asking a girl out so I just hint around "The Totally Terrific Tina" since I know she will say she has to work no matter what. I mean there is no secret I know many extremely attractive females who I like maybe it is time to put up the odds for my 2004 Valentine but we will see but I am certain I can't ask any of them out. I mean the first step to failure is trying so just enjoy until the disappear which may have happened to "The Ever So Delightful Dana"
The stair count 1,510 making 59,250 for the year. I return tomorrow at some time maybe once maybe twice time is running out as only one full week after this one so you best get to Deep River Waterpark now while it is still open from 10 a.m until 6:00 p.m. daily. You'll be glad you did. I'll see you there.
Last night at a grocery store a woman called me Mark T Sir I don't like that it really ticks me off. You can call me Mark, Mark T, you, crazy whatever you want but please don't call me Sir. Today it was 10:02 and 78 sunny degrees when I returned to Deep River Waterpark. Today what the hey time is running out and I seldom get to ride my favorite ride of them all whitewater so that is what I did today. Erin was at the top if she was eighteen or over I'd like her. She can do the splits yes now I just have to find David and get a picture of her doing the splits with the guy everyone loves David.
I rode the tube slide 7x in a row this morning there wasn't any line and I liked everytime. Erin is great. The stair count went to 308 the tube slide is not the best ride to go on to get stairs in but that is ok. After that I went to the dragon and rode the steeped slide just once followed by each storm slide which would mean just once don't you think? The stair count was 594 and I returned to the tube slide and as the tube attendant there was Ashley did you know she works at Sears too even though I find it hard to believe the store is still in business. As if it were not bad enough that this woman called me Sir last night while I was standing nearly Ashley this guy says "Are you guys waiting for a double tube?" now why would I be waiting to ride a slide with Ashley she isn't Erin who said she would ride one of the storm rides with me this year. I mean what is this guy thinking it is just so insulting to me.
I did make it to the top and Erin was still there and I was happy about that. She was followed by Jake who was practicing some hackey sack for some unknown reason I mean I could care less if you splash me it is a waterpark after all I just ask that you don't shoot big squirts into my eyes. The stair count went to 682 and then around the river I went and there was a Julie who said good morning Mark T. that made me happy when you live alone no one ever says good morning to you. Her toe nails were nicely painted I like that. It was time to play everyone's Favorite Game "Where's Emily?" and if you guesse bottom of kiddie you would be wrong. Today she was at wave pool river. She was not wearing shoes. The prize today was she was going to jump into the water when her rotater came.
After the trip around the river I went to the storm and to the cyclone which is my favorite storm ride. There was Lisa and she had not learned how to do the splits yet can you believe that. I have seen people do it it can't be that hard. I don't think she is going to learn. At least Lisa runs a really quick slide I like that. At the abyss was Dustin good to see him always and this year I name him my Runner up in the 2003 Male Lifguard of the year contest. Hopefully one day I'll have more pics at Mark T's 2003 Gabbin With Guards but today I did not find a photographer and I am not to good at taking pics so don't I have any volunteers only 20 pictures to go and here is the list that you should see if you can get the prize picture I am looking for is "The Totally Terrific Tina" standing back to back with her brother Jimmy the Cuz with their arms folded. The other one in search of Erin doing the splits while the guy everyone loves David looks good in the picture for you. Then see if you can get Mike, Rebecca, Nancy, Erin, Lisa, That Depressed Girl, Dustin, Julie, Sasha, Misty, Ashley, Jake, and whoever else I may actually know. See it won't be that hard. I already got the picture of Alex so there is no pressure on you. Doesn't someone want to volunteer so we can get these pics up.
Well after Lisa left I switched exclusively to the abyss because it was the fastest line and that Erin is fun. In all I rode the storm 12x in a row mostly the abyss and it was great. Erin did a great job today and that made me happy. If you work the tube slide and the abyss you most likely are going to be the lifeguard most of the day for Mark T. The stair count today 1,450 which makes the total climbed this season 57,740. How many more are left in me I don't know but time is running out as there are only 2 more weeks that Deep River Waterpark will be open all week after that just weekends until Labor Day or to put a number on it Deep River Waterpark will only be open 20 more days this year weather permitting so you best come out now while you still can. I'll see you there.
I Mark T. promise I will never try and sell you a Christmas Tree. To me "Say Goodbye To July" is better than Christmas as of that particular holiday not a big fan. During the 12 days scheduled I managed to make it to Deep River Waterpark 10 of 12 days. In that time I managed to climb 13,240 stairs. We said goodbye to an Ashley and Hello to an Ashley. We saw Katie for the very first time and then just days later for the very last time what a "Say Goodbye to July" It turned out to be. It has been a rough year as at this was only my 35th visit to Deep River Waterpark this season.
Today I returned to Deep River Waterpark at 10:48 a.m. the temperature was 77 degrees. I began the day at the dragon just went on the steep slide and then over to the storm complex. It was time to play everyone's favorite game "Where's Emily?" If you guessed cyclone you were right. She was not wearing shoes nor sunglasses now where is my prize. She declined to be my photographer. On that front I managed to take 7 pictures out of 27 today. At this rate maybe before Labor Day I'll have some posted on this site. I rode each slide once but the cyclone and abyss got double duty. I then went on my favorite ride in the whole park and wouldn't you know it by the time I got to the top it was time to rotate and there was that mean girl at least she can run a good slide.
I took just a little spin around the river maybe 1/2 and then I went back to the storm and just rode that for awhile usually the abyss eventually Alex who I love came to the abyss and that made me very happy. I went over to whitewater again and found Emily again can you believe the luck today. I got Hopkins picture with her so now you too one day can play Everyone's Favorite Game "Where's Emily?" There was quite a line at the lazy river and I didn't really want to go around and be cooked like a donut frying so I just stayed in what is called the family pool being I am no fan of the wave pool. It was cool. I got to take Alex's picture as she sat in a chair I am the master of the chair shots. Most other shots these days are a little tough I certainly miss my photographer but don't think anyone else is going to step up. I left the park at 1:07 p.m. the temperature was 83 degrees. The stair count 1,206
It was so nice why not do it twice? I returned to Deep River Waterpark at 3:57 p.m. the temperature was 83 degrees many people were leaving and I started at the storm and it was a bit eerie because everyone was back where they started like I hadn't even left. That Lisa sure can push on those slides. I got to ride the cyclone a few times. I then went on the dragon and at the bottom was David who was now tired. He did agree to have his picture taken with Lisa because what everyone wants to see is pictures of David with people right. I just have to find people to put next to David. I later tonight found out that Lisa can not do the splits there goes my picture. I figured she would do the splits and David would be above her. Apparently she can not learn how to do them by Saturday. Is there anyone who can do the splits and be photographed with David?
Alex was back at the Abyss I was happy boy what a good day I went on that and for my last ride I went on my favorite ride of them all whitewater which made the stair count today 1,910 making the total 56,290 for the year and then I rode around the river maybe 1/4 and I got a shot of this Siobhan character but tough when moving if knew for sure she wasn't going to be moving would have taken it from the bridge we will see eventually I hope if that picture came out. As I was leaving to finish Mark T's 3rd Annual "Say Goodbye to July" I saw "The Totally Terrific Tina" I don't know what was with her hair she said it was a ponytail I don't know if that is considered a ponytail. Well it looks like there aren't enough T's to connect Mark T to the "Totally terrific Tina" who turned twenty-two. I am pretty sure we all saw that coming though. Que sera Sera whatever will be will be
It is time for the 2 week notice Deep River Waterpark after this week will only be open 2 full weeks in August yes folks thats all. It will open up for the weekends for 5 final days including Labor Day September 1 but you are running out of time so you best get to Deep River Waterpark today. I'll see you there.
This was one of the Best Tubin Tuesdays I have been to in years. Deep River Waterpark was actually adequately staffed on a Tuesday night there was not chaos at the cage nor tubes scattered everywhere so that you would be tripping over them and it is dangerous to get out of a splash pool. Good Job. It was 6:34 p.m. and 84 degrees when I returned. Where have I been on Sunday I was rained out. Yesterday I was in terrible physical pain the 5th worse of my life luckily I think I was able to conceal that. I had a terrible earache which made it tough to even stand. Every time I spoke a word I was in excrutiating pain and to take phone calls as the problem was in my right ear well it was a complete nightmare. I tried to put the phone to my left ear and I always admit I am a lip reader I could barely hear with that ear. Today I felt much better so maybe I can get to the park 10 out of 12 days that isn't bad.
When I entered the park no running please it was Jamie and Misty and I pondered how did this group to come together but I did have Tootsie Pops as it was a Tootsie Pop Toooooooooooosday today not enough cherry plenty of rasberry. I am not driving to Chicago to complain as I just make sure there is one chocolate for the sensational one and then a lot of red usually rasberry. The gals had taken 2 laps around the river and somehow were able to spot me. I should have taken there picture. I actually have the camera with me now I just am not so good at taking pictures. I'll try tomorrow see how that goes.
I started the day over at the dragon only went on the curved slide tonight at the bottom was Jimmy the Cuz the area by the lifeguard was sparkling clean. He was not wearing a jacket tonight. I hope he did not lose it. After that I went over to the storm and Nancy had her hair in braided pigtails I like that but she was confused that I was wearing different shorts tonight it was blue as I doubt there ever will be "The DAWN of a whole new Era" and "The Ever So Delightful Dana" has disappeared which means if you look into my eyes you will see a very sad man. The red shorts were in their honor now who knows what color shorts I'll be wearing on any given day. I have plenty.
I did make it on each slide and then the cyclone 2x and then it was time to play everyone's favorite game "Where's Emily?" If you guessed storm attendant you are right. She was wearing shoes. She tried to give me a high five as a prize. I'll take the sunglasses for a ride. I told her I would ride the vortex since it is the easiest storm slide and up I went with the glasses on. They did not help my vision but they did make it even darker in the slide it was fun. I hope I find Emily again soon because it is fun to wear her sunglasses.
I just kept going now to the abyss and David was here should he be the male lifeguard of the year? Everyone wants to have their picture taken with David right? He was replaced by that girl who is usually so depressed. I told David if he could make her smile I'd give him a tootsie pop and she actually smiled can you believe that all year she has never smiled. I did not think she could. I was so concerned about her I was thinking of lighting a candle for her. She seemed more depressed than me and I am a sad lonely guy waiting to die who writes the same story year after year we all know how it ends Mark T never gets the girl they just disappear. Tonight she just seemed so happy. I like that.
David was going to be whitewater attendant and I am a man of my word so when he finally got there I let him have a tootsie pop and then I continued on the abyss and this girl told me I should give her a sucker and if it would keep her happy why not it was rasberry I do not know why she was so happy tonight. I was happy that she was happy but she intrigues me so. In my entire life no one has intrigued me more than this girl. I asked her why she was so sad she said because she has a sad life so do I maybe that is why I am intrigued by her. Her nails were not all painted. I asked her why and she said it was because there were 2 colors and then some chipped and she is to lazy to polish them. I have never painted my own nails but I don't imagine it takes that long to do I believe they even have shops where you could get them painted. Maybe that is why she is so depressed I mean how can anyone be to lazy to paint or have their nails painted? The Cute Redhead from it could be "The DAWN of a whole New Era" has the best nails but she isn't a lifeguard.
I just kept going on the abyss because so intrigured by this girl she asked if it was my favorite ride I told her no I mean if I said yes I'd be lying my favorite ride is whitewater my favorite storm slide is the cyclone. The abyss is my friend because it is usually the quickest moving slide. In the end I went down the storm 19x tonight and the stair count was 1,310 making it 54,380 for the year. As I was leaving I saw Siobhan hows that for a spelling she was wearing a very festive shirt and let me know it was Tubin Tuesday I usually know what date it is it is the time that sometimes gives me problems. I like the shirt. She did not break her leg skiing in Colorado as I imagined and I am glad that she simply was on vacation.
It was 8:24 and 77 degrees when I left and tomorrow I'll be back hopefully in the morning and maybe I'll double my pleasure and come back in the afternoon or I'll just come in the afternoon. I don't know have to see then but the camera will be with me as I conclude Mark T's 3rd Annual "Say Goodbye To July" tick tock tick tock time is running out for you to enjoy Deep River Waterpark this year so you best come on out now. You will have a splashtastic time. I'll see you there.
One week ago today it all began Mark T's 3rd Annual "Say Goodbye to July" one week is done but not the fun as I continue day after day at Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course. Last night my sister hit a guy with a die. At 11:00 p.m. I was fading out and when I got home at 11:30 p.m. which I do not normally see once again my voice was gone but some honey will fix that. It was 10:16 and 79 very breezy degrees when I returned but today I did not have the A game with me maybe a C game and the wind is not my friend.
I started the day at the dragon only went on the curved slide once and then each storm slide Chaos at the Cage begins earlier and earlier these days. It seems they may be short of guards give me a whistle and I'll play whitewater attendant. I can easily tell there is something going on when tubes are everywhere and even make it on to the stairs of the dragon. I did go on my favorite ride whitewater and on her way down she speaks it was Rebecca and she said hello and I was so happy because I just love her voice which is why she won the 2003 Lifeguard with the best voice award at Mark T's 2003 Gabbin With Guards now under construction The stair count was a mere 320 but it was time to rest and around the river I went.
I got to see Alex and that made me happy. She was tired because she was out to late but I am sure she was probably up later than me I just am a morning person. Erin let me know they were short of guards that happens it just happens sooner each year. Lets just hope they dont get on these busy days down to we may not have enough guards to open the park. I made it completely around the park and Nancy said I was early today usually need to be on Saturday if going to win. On my days off usually come when the park opens otherwise just get the final couple of hours so people are happy to see me because it is close to closing time.
I went over to the storm and guess what Grant made it back up to push on the slides and last time he said he was done now he will probably be up there many a day. He did well. Down below at the cage this sad girl who intrigues me so why is she so sad or why do I perceive her to be. Today I could see as I think she was being used as target practice as tubes simply pelted her from every direction. She eventually made her way up to the vortex and she said hi she is so mysterious fascinates me. I asked her why her nails were different colors some were blue a few pink and some had no polish at all she didn't know. I thought perhaps someone just came along when she was sleeping and did this no wonder she seems so sad. I did not see her smile today someone please get that girl to smile we must teach her how. I am very concerned about her.
I mainly rode the abyss and Rebecca was there and I could see that she seemed visibly flustered today her nails matched thats nice I like that. People apparently don't get how to ride tubes Rebecca said I should give a lesson on how to sit in a tube I just love hearing her talk. I can only imagine that the first few times it may be funny to say turn the tube around and then u watch as the tube is turned around completely 360 degrees and the handles are in the back right where they started from. Handles in the front folks or my personal favorite on the rental tubes there is an arrow which says front points the direction that the tube should be in yet time after time people have the tube backwards. I think it was going to be a busy day the wind really seemed to pick up though. I do not like that. In all I did manage to ride the storm 13x in a row and that was it for me I managed to win without the A game and climbe 1,152 stairs today making the total climbed this season 53,070.
I return tomorrow afternoon when we will see can Mark T walk 2 miles and on day #9 in a row at Deep River Waterpark still keep his undefeated streak alive in the 1,000 stairs climbed a day at Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course. Hopefully the weather will allow me to play and I will see you there.
I just absolutely love Alex and since today her I got to see I am very happy. It was 10:25 and 72 degrees when I returned for day #7 of Mark T's 3rd Annual "Say Goodbye to July" and boy what a crowd was on hand. Friday isn't my favorite day to to come to the park but this year on a few Fridays I have been there. I think the day that I have been there least this year is Thursday. I began the day off at the dragon and the water there well to say it was warm would be an understatement I have to say it was hot. I felt like a lobster being boiled in it. I rode each slide once.
Next I went over to the storm and "Chaos at the Cage" started early today I did mange to go on the abyss 3 times and then I went on my favorite ride of them all whitewater. It was fun. Next at least some of the chaos had died down so back to the storm I went and again on the abyss mostly but once got to go on the cyclone got another 3 in there and the stair count went up to 616. I found out the girl with yellow sandals name is Sarah. Today she was wearing a shirt must have been cooler as opposed to baking yesterday. She might be nice.
Then I took a spin around the river just once today. I saw Hopkins with a chair next to her but she said that was not for her invisible friend that was for junior guards and someone really was there earlier. I just hope so otherwise I will be very concerned. Then over to the dragon at least the water was not so hot now. I went down the steep slide or today it was being referred to as the scary slide. The stair count went to 710. I then in a slow fashion did manage to ride the abyss 6x in a row. What does that Nancy mean stay on the tube. One of the secrets that has been kept over the years is while I have never been injured riding a slide in 9 years knock on wood I did once fall down a flight of stairs on the tube slide and fractured my left wrist before Deep River Waterpark even opened and a few years ago before they got the stuff on the bridge I slipt and fell down that bridge injuring my left foot. I used to love to stick the landing on every slide ride. "Eat your Heart out Keri Strug" I would say but after that fateful day I can't do that anymore with out aggravating my foot so usually if you ever pay attention I never land on my left foot I would rather going flying off a tube into the water where I can land on my hand or rear if there is problem sometimes I can make a landing on the right foot it is very rare that you will see me land on both feet because that is painful to me and never on the left foot. Sometimes I can make it to the stairs.
Keri Strug sure was no Shannon Miller though how I hoped I'd marry that Olympic gold medalist now there was a gymnast. If slide riding were an olympic sport I'd bet I'd be pretty good at that. Shannon Miller is no Alex though is she? I wonder if Alex could do a cartwheel has anyone seen that? I went to my favorite ride of them all because what was my hurry and the line moved rather quickly and at the top was the 2003 Male Rookie Lifeguard of the year Clint I guess that explains that. The stair count was 1,138 making it 51,918 for the year I'll have to even that out soon but to busy today. I left the park at 1:06 p.m. it was a beautiful 80 degrees. I'll be back again tomorrow as the park is open from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m why don't you come on out too. I'll see you there.
The weather certainly has been good to me in this "Say Goodbye to July" It was 3:45 and 77 degrees when I returned to Deep River Waterpark for the 6th day in a row. Today the dragon line looked a bit long so that is ok on the storm I would play. First on the abyss because the line was the shortest there. Then in an unusual twist the shortest line most of the time was over at the vortex. The guard running that was "pretty good" I learned her name was Lisa and so I entered her into Mark T's 2003 Female Rookie Lifeguard of the year competition. Now who do you think will win that little blonde girl who is so happy but forgets her shirt at the bottom of the storm it is bad that I don't know her name though and she always is saying hi. Will one of the sisters Nancy or Rebecca take it or will Erin get the prize or will it be a surprise and someone else win. Not even I know.
I went mostly on the vortex on occassion the abyss and once even on the cyclone a total of 14x and then around the lazy river I went on my way there I saw Mike and I just missed him again at the top of whitewater can you believe that? He said he had it down to no line at all I like that. Around the river I went and there sitting in a chair off the stand was another girl whose name I don't know aren't I bad but she has yellow sandals which I want to enter into the best sandal competition but I have to know your name for you to win. She said that it was to hot for her to sit in the stand because she would be baking. Aren't these the same people who yesterday were freezing.
I went and rode the dragon 3x and then I went to my favorite ride of them all whitewater and I saw Erin as the tube attendant. Has anyone ever heard the word "sleeper inner" I think she is just making this up. At least today there was no jacket, sweatshirt or pants I like that. Now it was time to play everyone's favorite game "Where's Emily?" and if you guessed at the top of whitewater you would be right. Today the prize was I got to wear her sunglasses down the slide. Apparently she may have sat on them. They did not improve my vision one bit but they did turn a few heads didn't I go up the slide without any glasses and now I was wearing these. Erin said I looked superb good adjective I like that
I saw Lauren but she was not wearing a sweatshirt today. It was in the car I rode whitewater 3 times in a row and then it was time to go and when I add all the stairs up on the calculator come up with 10 more so the total for today 1,310 7,730 in the last 6 days and over 50,000 for the year 50,780 to be exact. Mark T's 3rd annual "Say Goodbye to July" continues tomorrow at some point in time for day #7. Tomorrow I think I will finally return to red perhaps and maybe finally once again I will see "The Ever So Delightful Dana" Here's hoping but now is the time for you to come on out to Deep River Waterpark tick tock tick tock time is running out so come out today. I'll see you there.
A few years ago on a day much like this one there was a boy who could not walk and his family wheeled him in a chair to the storm and all he wanted to do was ride the slide. It was obviously very difficult for him but when he got to the top it was something to see and he rode the slide and he wanted to ride again. Sure it took him awhile but it was all worth it. Everytime I ride a slide I try to have that same passion because I know that one day which will be here sooner than I care to admit I will not be able to climb stairs anymore but while I can I may as well enjoy every slide I can. Today it was 3:47 p.m and 70 degrees when I returned for day 5 of 12 and I am still going how about that. I began the day at the dragon. Lauren was wearing a sweatshirt yes.
It may have been noticed that today was wearing a different pair of shorts not the usual read because I haven't seen "The Ever So Delightful Dana" in so long and aren't they a tribute to her red shirt. She is the only girl my sisters agree would be good for Mark T. I still got my eye the Target but never seem to be able to hit the bullseye. Anyway I was on the tour of the park but then I stopped at my favorite ride whitewater and ended up going on it 10x in a row. Most of the time 80% it was Clint pushing and on a cool day I understand if people don't push but there he did I observed how everything went and folks we have a winner it's official in the soon to open 2003 Gabbin With Guards with Your Host Mark T. I name Clint the 2003 Male Rookie lifeguard of the year. Now will his sister Cori fare as well in the Female Lifeguard of the year competition you'll have to wait and see.
I took one lap around the river and then went over to the storm and I rode the vortex a few times it was very aesthetically pleasing to my eyes so why not ride it a few times plus no line. On occassion I did go to the abyss and Erin was there she was wearing not only a jacket but a sweatshirt as well I do not know what the deal is with that. Jake was at the cyclone but he was sore may have pulled a muscle so since the other slides were looking good and I didn't want Jake to be injured further I rode them. My last ride however was the cyclone and the stair count for the day was 1,460 and 49,470 for the year in the last 5 days I have climbed 6,420 stairs at Deep River Waterpark.
It was 5:37 and 72 degrees when I left. Tomorrow it is the 1/2 way point can I continue my winning ways in the 1,000 stair game. We will see it will be around 4:00 p.m. when I get back it will be a beautiful day so why don't you come on out to Deep River Waterpark I'll see you there.
Tonight I could have climbed the stairs all night but if I did that I would not succeed in being at Deep River Waterpark 12 days in a row because this is only day 4 of 12 so I have to pace myself. Unfortunately I certainly am not as young as I used to be and the wind is very tough on me. I have made it 1/4 of the way there though. Today it was 4:46 p.m. and 69 windy degrees when I returned. Megan was in season passes and claimed that I was the only season pass holder to enter the park today all day long now can you believe that?
It was good to see Melissa and Kim haven't seen them all year where you been girls? I began the day with a tour of the park and was so happy that the tour led me to "The Totally Terrific Tina" at the vortex she was cold but peering into her beautiful eyes warmed my heart. I love them so. I did not ride the vortex 2x then because it might give away that I like "The Totally Terrific Tina" and we don't want rumors about Mark T now do we? I continued over to whitewater and at the top was Lauren and she was wearing a sweatshirt hold your applause please. I then took a 1/2 lap around the river.
I then went right back to where I began and eventually made my way over to the storm and at the abyss was this girl who was there the other day and since I do not know her age I shouldn't say this but I will anyway she is very pretty but she looks so sad. She seems to me to be a tortured soul and I want to know why she has dark hair little cute maybe mole on her face orange bag I think her name may start with a J. She always seems so sad to me like the saddest person I have ever met of course that is just what I get from her face maybe she is really happy doesn't look it though. Today there really was a Tootsie Pop Toooosday I am like I'd give a whole bag of Tootsie Pops to the person who can get me a picture of this girl smiling I don't know if she is capable of smiling. This mystery intrigues me greatly. Oh anyone this year want to run the camera for Mark T. I'll give you the camera you take the shots for me and then we will see what makes it to this site. If you'd like to volunteer and can get people to get in the picture find me I don't think it is that hard.
Without the aide of my trusty sister very difficult for me to ride slides and take pictures these days. Where is my sister once she came and that was it this year we went on the storm. It is more fun to ride with someone but hey what am I going to do I can't force her to come and my older sister had a baby on June 4 so she isn't getting in a swimsuit in public for awhile so I am without a rider. Although I am looking forward to riding with Erin on the storm if it is one slide I hope it is the abyss if it is 2 the abyss and cyclone. That will be fun if Erin doesn't disappoint me. I think it was to cold for her to ride today she was at the cage with jacket and pants and looked like she was absolutely freezing. I don't know why it wasn't that bad there now at the top of the slides with the wind blowing the water out of the slide I can see how that might be a little cold but not down below with no water around. Do you think Erin will dissapoint me or will she ride the slide with Mark T we will see
I then was back at whitewater Lauren was still wearing a sweatshirt. I went on it 2x and then around the lazy river got a full spin in this time. Next I went to the dragon each slide once followed by the storm each ride once I missed that gal on the top of the abyss she makes me happy she had gone down to the bottom of the cyclone so that was my last ride. Jamie pointed out she was still there I know I am nearly blind but I can see at arms length the big mover today chocolate who knew I just make sure there is always 1 chocolate for the sensational one and then get the bag with the most red. Plenty left and I will be back tomorrow probably around 4:00 p.m as Mark T's 3rd Annual Say Goodbye to July" continues onto day #5. The stair count today 1,680 so for the year it goes to 48,010
Deep River Waterpark is now open from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily but only 31 more days this season as the park will be closed from August 18-22 and August 25-29 so you only have basically one month left so now is the time to come to Deep River Waterpark. I'll see you there.
Bye Bye Happiness Hello Lonlines I think I'm going to cry as we say Goodbye to the girl who always came just so close to winning Mark T's Female Lifeguard of the year award. Each year it gets earlier and earlier and she is the first to go. We will miss her so as she could really run a slide and just for me she wore her hair in braided pigtails today my favorite. Now I will probably never ever see her again as long as we both shall live. Hopefully you threw her in the wavepool for me. We can rest assured that she fell down 4 stairs not five and I heard she is going to get married when she is 27 ah there is hope for me yeah right. Maybe for Joe you never know. Ashley is the one on the right

It was 3:43 and very overcast when I returned to Deep River Waterpark not to many patrons in attendance but the very busy sign was out. I began the day at the dragon and went on it 3x and then went on each storm slide once. Can you believe Hopkins was wearing a jacket and a sweatshirt I don't know about that. I went to the tube slide and it was time to play everyone's favorite game "Where's Emily?" today she was at the bottom of whitewater and was wearing shoes. She did not have a prize for me though. I went to each body slide where Jamie was at the top this was not the wave pool though. She nearly lost her shoe.
I took a very short trip around the river from station to station back to the dragon 2x and then each storm slide once and then my favorite slide whitewater was my last ride. The stair count went to 1,030 and 46,330 for the year and I made it through day # 3 as grey skies are going to clear up. Don't Forget Tomorrow you can play all day as the park is open until 9:30 p.m. admission at 6:30 p.m. is a mere $7.00 Come on out you will be glad you did. I'll see you there.
At my older sister's wedding in September 2001 the photographer asked me if I was the minister. I wasn't on that day who knows maybe one day but not today. The question today could I walk one mile in the heat to the church which I attend and then walk back another mile and still climb 1,000 stairs as I put my 2 season undefeated streak on the line? It was 1:23 p.m and 84 degrees when I returned. This time certainly isn't my favorite time to come to Deep River Waterpark but sometimes things don't work out the way one hopes. Don't forget if you are over 21 come and join my younger sister and I at the St. Maria Goretti Parish Carnival on Thursday July 24, Friday July 25 when we are working from 9:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. and on Sunday July 27. We will be rolling dice. If you aren't 21 come see the rest of the carnival which starts on Wednesday and don't forget the Schererrville Chamber of Commerce Corn Fest on Friday July 25 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
I started the day at the dragon and I went on that once. The park was very busy today but not as bad as yesterday. I then went on the abyss there was a long line but no chaos at the cage which is good I then went on my favorite ride of them all whitewater and at the top was Nancy and I hereby declare her line worthy because I did ride the tube slide 4 times in a row and she pushed me 3 times and there were lots of comments about this line is going rather fast. Now will that be enough to knock her sister out as my 2003 Female Rookie Lifeguard of the year. We will see you really have to be good to please me on the tube slide line very few guards have ever done that on a busy day.
Eventually she left and that was sad but it was time to play Everyones' favorite game "Where's Emily?" Today she was the whitewater attendant and in a surprise she was wearing shoes which I probably could get $2.00 at auction for. She did not have any good prizes a sticker that said "Wow" given to her by the sensational one and a gold looking bracelet or something she could wear in her hair. I did not want any of the prizes. Apparently Emily is working a lot lately because she needs the cash and she does not ask Jake to borrow money which is really destroying the picture I paint of this family so happy together.
On from whitewater with the stair count a mere 324 at 2:33 would I lose the game. I do know Deep River Waterpark rather well so I was not worried big line at the Dragon so over to the storm I went up on the cyclone and then to the vortex and it was Kristen's first day back but not from the mild concussion she seems to have been out quite awhile well that whole 2002 season was a long time. She had skin cancer and had an operation but now she is ok I like that. The abyss had to becom my friend today. Eventually at the cage came Ashley who had a story to tell but that is for the private collection of Mark T there are a few things in that collection can't believe all the things I've seen and heard included in that collection this today and the reason why Mark T. for the 1st time in 8 seasons last year was not at Deep River Waterpark on Labor Day. I know why I disappeared from Deep River Waterpark but that is in the past now I am back and I encourage you to come back too.
Ashley likes to wear the gloves alot I notice. I think I have seen her 3 days and she had to have the gloves on 2 days I got to play attendant for awhile telling people to turn in their tubes because there was a line I have no idea why anyone listened to me but they did I obviously don't work there. Ashley works at Sears apparently that is still open and not just a Brady Bunch Movie memory. She said they are making bigger bathrooms so people will shop there who am I to say doesn't everyone know already that I have "My eye on the Target" with the "Ever So Delightful Dana"
Ashley did not get a cookie today that's to bad. Can someone e-mail me her birth certificate [email protected]. as I try to determine if she is 18 or 19. She claims to be 18 but the other day she was dating that guys cousin and he said she was 19 so now I need to know so who has known Ashley and knows her exact date of birth? I continued on the storm with the abyss as my friend. Eventually the stair count finally got to 1,008 and I can walk 2 miles and climb a 1,000 stairs good for me. Now I just have to get things even. Why was Jimmy the cuz wearing a jacket again today? Don't tell me he forgot to wear a shirt again today boy it must be great to be buff like that. Must have some good genes in that family because most people know how much I like "The Totally Terrific Tina" his sister maybe he could set me up with her. Lauren was at the abyss haven't seen her for the longest time because apparently she had some days off. She said she was out of shape and weighed more than 90lbs. I don't think that she is out of shape. She was wearing a tshirt but not a sweatshirt today.
On the final ride of the abyss there was Nancy it is really fun to watch her face I was very entertained and had lots of fun doing so. She had some very nice nails today as well I like that. Wasn't that Nicole at the cage now boy she has some nice hair where has she been all year almost forgot about her but now into the competition she must go and I really liked her sandals very unique they were like white very cool maybe she will win with them I don't know though. In the end the stair count was 1,200 I just couldn't help keeping even now that I am back to that. It was 4:41 and 87 degrees when I left the park. The stair count today 1,200 total for the year 45,300
I return tomorrow for Day # 3 of Mark T's 3rd Annual "Say Goodbye to July" which means the competition for awards is heating up. It should be around 4 and hopefully my undefeated streak will continue. Then on Tuesday by demand its the return of Tootsie Roll Tootise Pop Tooooooooooooooooosday watch not a single guard will want a tootsie pop but I'll take it from Misty and make sure they are with me. Don't forget there aren't many Tubin Tuesdays left this year they are from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. admission is only $7.00 or come earlier in the day and stay all day because on Tuesday you get 3.5 hours for free. Deep River Waterpark is now open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Come on out and have a splashtastic time. I'll see you there.
There are only 2 full months that Deep River Waterpark operates one is June and that is gone and soon we will say goodbye to July so it is that time of year when I will try to be at the waterpark 12 days in a row but we will see will it all come crashing down tomorrow already. Today it got off to a lackluster start which means no where to go but up. I began the day with a tour of the park. In everyone's favorite game "Where's Emily?" Jake guessed she was at the top of whitewater but today I would not find Emily. Several busloads of folks were at the park today made it extremely busy. After the tour of each ride in the park I went around the lazy river just one time.
You know at the tube slide my favorite ride their was this guard and she looked so sad to me like she could possibly be more depressed than me. I went back to the dragon rode the curved, steep and then steep again and the stair count went to a mere 794 and boy did that line get long in a hurry could see trouble lied ahead today so I went over to the storm some nice long lines well at some point there were lines and at some points there were 2 lines but if any space in between lines groups would just go in between and go up front until Jake came along then that did not happen so kudos to him. I went on the abyss 4 times and the same gal who was at the tube slide was there and she said she was happier she just seemed so sad. She had an orange bag and I wondered how could anyone with such a nice bag look so sad. I did not know what to do. Her navel was piereced I liked that. Her hair was different I think I liked that it seemed to be in a ponytail down but then the out of the ponytail it went to different ways. I haven't seen one like that before. Each time she kept saying hi that was nice but don't think was going to get a smile from her today but I enjoyed her. The stair count 1,050 and 44,100 for the year and on my way out I was it was 12:07 and 79 degrees when I left.
Hopefully Mark T returns tomorrow sometime in the afternoon it should be a better day and maybe that girl will cheer up because I'm depressed enough for everyone. It might be it could be day #2 of Mark T's 3rd annual "Say Goodbye to July" do you think Siobhan could show up during this event here is hoping I haven't seen her for the longest time. Well Deep River Waterpark is now open from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. but time is running out so you need to come out now and have a splashtastic time. I'll see you there.
