What a beautiful day for a waterpark. It was 79 degrees at 2:58 p.m. when I returned to Indiana’s Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course which is now open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Admission is $14.00 or $12.00 if you have valid Indiana idea for this price you can play all day. You can save $2.00 by coming after 2:00 p.m. The park is located just 4 miles East of I-65 on US 30 in beautiful Lake County Indiana.

When I entered the park I saw Mike and while he waved he did not wave me to whitewater so I could see how he runs it. Apparently that is where he went. In my book so far the best person to run whitewater is Ashley because can that girl run a slide, which is why she is the front-runner to be the 2002 female lifeguard of the year, but there is still time left. Mike tells me that he had it running very well. Maybe one day that I will get to see. Today I started off on the abyss and then I saw there was virtually no line at the dragon so with low humidity those stairs I climbed.

I simply went on the slide with the shortest line which always happened to be the steep slide now some people are concerned that I might fall off the dragon. I have ridden the slide 100s of times and I have never ever fallen off. In fact I got so into it today I went on the dragon 9x times in a row and very quickly the stair count went up to 910.

After that I went over to the storm and started at the vortex worked my way over to the cyclone repeated and ended up at the abyss which made the stair count 1,230 which is not all that bad for one day. Since I had some time today I made my way to the Bayou River Ride aka the Lazy River and can you believe today is Allison’s last day? She never had the chance to meet me in 4 years of working there so this was the last chance. She is going where ever the wind blows and that at least is a plan. She told me to keep having fun. Hopefully, I will. I hope she has fun too wherever the wind leads her. I shook her hand. It is funny while never in my storyline I have seen Allison many a day year after year and you just get used to people being there. I will miss her and I am sure a lot of people will as well especially you guys. She is a very nice looking gal and everyone knows I loved pierced navels and hers is pierced and her hair is usually in a pony tail

It seems these last days get earlier and earlier every year. Where does time go? If I had a an Allsion story I’d leave you with that until we meet again you never know. However, the best I could do is once she was in front of me in at a gas station but that isn’t to good of a story. The best gas station story I have was in the fall on a cool day at a gas station near me they have like 4 pumps on a side and I like to pull up and on this night as I was about to on the other side of the pump up front was the cute red head and I slammed on my breaks and stopped before pulling up. Only could admire her from afar couldn’t pull up to her car. Anyway as Allison goes away it makes one realize that most people will go way. I mean one day there will be no more Jessica K “The Cashier I hold dear” “Seeing Jessica K makes my day” “Finally Jessica K made Mark T ok” and some have you have seen she was my 2002 Valentine but she will probably never ever know that and one will wonder what could have happened and where as she gone just like we will wonder with Allison. Best of luck in all that you do.

Where I went was around the river and there was Tina at the waterfall and as usual that was her last spot. I don’t think it matters the time of day or anything whenever I see Tina it seems that is her last spot. I noticed she seemed to like purple as her sandals were purple and nails colored to match how can I not like that. That is why it was a totally terrific day. As made my way down stream Brittany was there and I am glad that she backs me in my “stair down” with Emily because several people think that Emily will surprise me and be able to keep up with me. Hopefully, this year we will see.

I went on my favorite ride whitewater run just once today but that was ok. I returned to the storm and went on the abyss 4 times in a row and then I made my way up the cyclone and watch out I slammed my left pinky right against the railing of the stairs. It was about the second flight I felt all right but blood began to gush. It was not pretty and I really didn’t want to get so much blood in the water because it attracts sharks (ok I don’t know what that has to do with this as there are no sharks at Deep River waterpark a few years ago I saw frog but that was a while ago). I decided I’d give Health Services a try as I don’t just stop by there very often.

I think I surprised everyone at this rare occasion. Kate and Misty were in there and Grant had to spring into action. He put something on it and then a band aide well actually not a band aide because that is a registered trademark but something similar. I do carry band aides in my bag but from the storm Health Services was closer. I was asked if I had any tootsie pops left and I did but they might be melted because I just keep them until I bring a new bag on Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tuesday. I knew that Kate likes grape because I gave here on I Tuesday. I could tell you that Sasha likes chocolate and Ashly likes cherry but what would Misty like well it seemed to be Cherry we will have to see if I can remember that in the future if might be tough though.

I made my way across the park and back into health services but not because I was injured again only to make a delivery and they were busy in there so I waited for them all to clear out and was so happy that Tina said bye to me that I could at least leave a happy guy. With my pinky attended too thanks to Grant who is still looking for that red whistle for my sister I made my way to the exit. Grant has not seen my sister all year. I know she has been at the park a couple of days at least. I have seen her a lot because the last 2 days she was working with me. However, we did not travel to the waterpark together today.

I left the park at 5:02 p.m. The temperature was 76 degrees. With the 1,530 stairs climbed today the stair count moves to 30,126 but I am so far away from my 108,000 stair goal. Do you think I can make it I have 77,874 more to go. Deep River park is now open so come out and have a splashtastic time. I return on Saturday around 10 or so and then Sunday again around 10 but I will only have a short time as I am coming back to my hometown for a parade at 1:00 p.m. Come on out to Deep River Waterpark. You’ll have a splashtastic time. I’ll see you there.
