Today I returned to Deep River Waterpark after spending nearly 16 hours away at 3:44 p.m. The temperature was 93 degrees. Kara was at lemonade there were 2 people there today. She had some pictures of Bobby. I had seen him on Tuesday night. I thought they were some good pictures. Then I heard that she didn’t take them she had some 15 year old girl take them because she is to afraid to talk to him. Can you believe that what kind of relationship is that going to be if she never wants to talk. I mean sure I never talk to the cute red head except to say how are you doing and have a nice night but I steal smiles and waves from her. Well lets not use me as an example since I have so much trouble starting the Dawn of a Whole New Era Storyline. Anyway she should just say hey Bobby I like you I work in carts stop by lemonade and I’ll let you make you my squeeze or something like that. I started the day off on the storm and watched in amazement as my favorite storm ride the cyclone had a line that was moving faster than the abyss. I rarely see that happen in fact I never ever recall that happening but it did today.

I went on the cyclone 4x and the abyss twice before hooking up with my sister. I saw her in the splash pool at the bottom of the cyclone and she had lost her prescription sunglasses. I do not know why she would wear them on a slide apparently so she could find me but I think you can ask nearly anyone in that works at Deep River Waterpark if they have seen Mark T and you could probably get directed to me. Being that she needed these glasses to drive she was very concerned. I told her go ask at Health Services if someone will retrieve them for you but she wouldn’t know where Health Services was to save her life. It is located near the dragon below the food complex with taco and hotdog and the new and improved Milo’s. I told her I would go with her so this took from my stair climbing time

Ashley and Kate were in Health Services and it so looked like Joel but I don’t know I haven’t seen him at all this year so perhaps my eyes were playing tricks. Kate volunteered since she was already wet see it is things like this that made Kate the 2001 Female Lifeguard of the year but with such tough competition this season can she retain her crown? I don’t know there are so many good candidates. It probably will be my toughest decision ever and will it end in a tie? Well since currently there are 4 females in the running I just don’t know. Plus time could bring some other candidates my way. Right now it is can Kate repeat my sister thinks highly of her since she watched her dive for those glasses and she actually got them back in one piece. Will it be the preseason favorite the Totally Terrific Tina? Will beauty prevail and will the Oh So beautiful Allison prevail? I can’t keep my eyes off her because she is drop dead gorgeous. However, that is not the point I watched last night how she put all the little kids in the tube on whitewater and stuff like that plus she has the strange edge that when I see her I can actually feel joy it is an odd feeling for me. Finally will it be the girl that sure can run a slide on Tubin Tuesdays if they go down to two lifeguards on top of the storm if I got to vote I’d choose Ashley and Mike and even on those busy nights I’d bet that those rides would move quickly and everyone would ride properly and be safe. Only time will tell though.

Ashley the lead guard would go and retrieve the glasses but she just had her hair highlighted. It looked really nice but that is probably because I am extremely partial to braided pig tails. Many guys have succumbed to Ashley’s charm. I find it very intriguing. I have known Ashley since she was 16 and if my calendar’s right on July 22 Ashley turns 21. While I watched Kate diving for the glasses Ryan came up behind and said they had something for me in Hot Dog and would could it be? Perhaps an Italian beef sandwich which I would have to decline because Wednesday is Prince Spaghetti night. The anticipation grew as we made are way and there in hotdog was Emily. I haven’t seen Emily in awhile so it was great to see her.

Oh wait that wasn’t what they had for me (although that would have been enough). It was a yardtree. Finally, the yardtrees are in and now you must buy them. They are $3.68 which includes tax and they come with a beverage. Save your yardtree and bring it back everytime you come to Deep River Waterpark because a refill is $1.16 which includes tax it is a fantastic deal. If you don’t want to use it again it says Deep River Waterpark on it so it makes a great souvenir. I would come back later to Hot Dog for the yardtree since I had left my sister hanging and I said that I would be back within 10 minutes to give Ashley a tootsie pop. I apparently have slowed down in my old age because I am not as fast walking as I once was. Luckily, I got back within 10 minutes and Ashley was still in Health Services and I remember Kate liked grape and it was the least I could do after she relieved my sister by finding her prescription sunglasses

Now, it was time to ride the slides so my sister and I rode together and we picked the shortest line at all times so it was a scattered pattern. In all we rode the storm 9x in a row. Jake was at the vortex and my sister thought he pushed to hard so every time we were up there she hoped his shift was over but it was not the case. The stair count went up to 960 and today I was taking it slow so I can prepare to attempt to climb 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July. We went to whitewater and as the attendant there was Tina and can you believe this it was her last spot. Every single time I see Tina it seems that is her last spot what is the deal with that. At the top of whitewater Lauren is back and she was not wearing a sweatshirt today. She had been gone like a week. She claims she hasn’t even worn the sweatshirt all year but then why was it in the wash ?

The stair count ended at 1,004 making the total for the year 35,032. This was at 5:25 p.m. and then I had to be on my way to Hot Dog for the yardtree and decisions decisions what to put in the yardtreee Emily said a Slush Puppy might stain it and we don’t want that so she let me try some Mountain Dew Code Red because everyone knows I like to try new things or perhaps I don’t like to try new things one or the other. I liked it so I had the yardtree filled with that. I really like the yardtree it makes me happy. They have quite a few on hand so why don’t you buy one today? Emily is a little upset that she isn’t a shoe in to win The 2002 Female food and beverage girl of the year because she faces tough competition from Amanda. Speaking of Amanda what does she think of James sitting so close to Ashley in health services? He was in there taking a break today for a few minutes and that seemed a bit strange.

To support Emily’s cause I did notice that she was in hotdog today and then all the employees came over there like Tina and Jason to get beverages. When she is in taco they seem to congregate there so I put that in the observation booth. Well my sister came over and she was impressed by the yardtree and helped me drink some of this code red because that yardtree holds a lot. Ryan already bought one before me can you believe that but now that I have mine I want you to buy a yardtree for $3.68 and it will be filled with your favorite beverage

I return tomorrow for 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July. Will I make it I don’t know but I will try and have fun doing so. Why not celebrate the 4th of July by buying yourself a yardtree from Deep Riverwaterpark to do so just travel 4 miles East of I-65 on US 30 and you will have a splashtastic time. Admission is good all day as long as you have your hand stamped at the front gate so you can come and go as you please. Come on out. I’ll see you there.
