The cards certainly were dealt right today for your host thee one and only Mark T as I returned to Deep River waterpark at 10:11 a.m. the temperature was 76 degrees and it was a very gray looking day. There have not been many of these types of days this year so one had to take advantage of it. I began the day at the dragon and when I got to the top it was Totally Terrific as there was Tina and this was not her last spot but her first. Today she was wearing glasses. I like that. Down below there was Jason and since Tina was up top I could not stop going on the dragon. I went on the curved slide 3x and on the steep slide 7x although not in that order. Very quickly the stair count went up to 940. Tina was suppose to be off today but according to me she was working today so that she could see me and I appreciate that because I like Tina a lot but I dont think she is going to let me buy her dinner before she goes back to school.
I went over to the storm next. I began at the vortex and worked my way over to the cyclone and then made it back to the abyss and the stair count kept moving it went up to 1,260. Next I went to my favorite ride in the whole park and that is whitewater run and it must have really been my favorite ride today because there was the Oh So Beautiful Allison. She looked tired today probably didnt get all her beauty rest but that is ok because she looks great anyway. I went on that 2x. The stair count went to 1,348 and then I went back to the storm. I started at the vortex and then went on the abyss and youd never guess who was working today it was the 2002 Male Rookie Lifeguard of the year Charles. I see him like ever single day. He had worked until 9:30 last night and was right back at 9:30 a.m. today.
I made my way over to the cyclone and there came Tina. Tina said she did not have magic powers and she did not know how people expected her to pull them down when they held onto the handles for dear life and did not give her anything to work with. I tried this once and she could not move me with her mind. I was surprised by this. Tinas line was moving very quickly today and then down at the bottom of the cyclone I had hit the jackpot because who could ask for a more beautiful slide according to Mark T there was the Oh so beautiful Allison. It was so great to keep going on the cyclone. It also happens to be my favorite storm ride and the lines were short today so it was really like heaven for me. I rode on the cyclone 8x in a row making the stair count 1,860. It was Tinas last spot well before break anyway.
I was so close to 2,000 I could not stop so I just kept going splitting time between the abyss and cyclone the stair count went up to 2500 and that was pretty good but there still was gas in the tank so I just kept going as the sun was not getting in my way. I climbed some more and as the stair count went past 2628 up came the Oh so beautiful Allison to the abyss and wondered how any day could be better than this. I liked the view at the abyss so I just kept going on that for a while. At one time Jason asked me if I was getting tired and I did not know and he asked if the abyss was my favorite ride and I told him know I just like the view. Allison said she was cold because it was freezing outside but I dont know how anyone that is so hot could be cold. Allison asked Jason what I said and I heard him say that I like the view that is true but people are not suppose to tell the Oh So Beautiful Allison how beautiful I think she is. I have gone as far as to say she is at least 10x more beautiful then the former lifeguard we had to ban from mentioning on this site.
Allison thought I looked tired and she must know best. Unfortunately back in 2000 over by the bridge at whitewater I took a terrible fall and injured my left foot. Since then they put a new non-slip substance over that bridge so people dont have the same problem. It does not bother me to often but it is willing to tell me when to stop and it gave the message to me today that was all I could do or it would give out on me. Plus Jason and Allison told me I looked tired and when I saw the clock I had been climbing stairs for like 3.5 hours. The total went up to 3,140 and in all that time I rode the storm 28x in a row and I was as happy as could be. It was not Allisons last day so that made me happy as well. The stair count for the year moves to 63,320 for the year but leaves me 44,680 stairs away from my 108,000 stair goal. With time ticking down does anyone think I can make it? There could be no Mark walks around the park today because I had become nearly hobbled so had to get off my foot as soon as possible and hopefully it will let me come back to play tomorrow. I left the park at 1:48 p.m. and the temperature was 80 degrees. The sun was beginning to break through the clouds. Not much time remains to enjoy Deep River Waterpark in 2002 so come on out and have a splashtastic time before it is to late. Ill see you there.
