Day # 6 (of 12) of Mark T's Second Annual "Say Goodbye to July" Thursday July 25, 2002

You know that I have never been at Indiana’s Premiere Waterpark on a Friday in 2002 but that all changes tomorrow should weather permit as Mark T’s second annual “Say Goodbye to July” goes on. Today it was 10:05 and 75 degrees when I returned and there was Megan in season passes just like she was yesterday. I did not see the guitar with here today.

I started off the day at the dragon. Sometimes I went on the steep slide and sometimes on the curved slide. I went on it a total of 5x quickly moving the stair count to 470. Next I went to the storm. I went on the vortex and wasn’t that exactly where he was yesterday there was Charles who seems to work every day. I am not sure that he went home at night. Maybe they should just have dorms for the workers to stay in during the summer wouldn’t that be something. I then split the abyss and made it over to the cyclone and there was Katie who could run that because she is experienced. Do you think that I should have a category for the best 2cnd year male and female lifeguard of 2002 and if I did would the contenders be Jamie, Katie, Corey, Lauren and Nicole? Well we will see what strikes me.

I went on storm a total of 4x in a row and then I went back to the dragon. I got closer to the guard stand when riding on the curved slide. Jimmy did not think I could make it past but I have to do something to be able to impress Tina so I just keep trying. I don’t know if it is possible though. I went on the dragon a total of 4x

Next I returned to the storm and went on each slide once. The stair count went up to 1,200. I then took a walk around the park I was very confused in pizza because they had used paper to put the tax on items. They did not use the magnetic numbers but they had a combination. It was very confusing. Ann said that no one even noticed until me. I went around the lazy river once and then I went to my favorite ride in the whole park whitewater run it was good to see that Brittany was back and at the bottom of whitewater there was Lauren they were close to each other but not close enough to break into a rendition of Sisters.

Next I went to the storm I rode on the cyclone first and then the abyss and then I made my way to the vortex where there it became Totally Terrific as there was Tina and in her effort to win the 2002 female Lifeguard of the year award the vortex line was going very quickly. Tina today had a bandana in her hair. I have never seen that before. It had sparkles. I wanted to take a picture just to save this into all perpetuity but she would not agree she said she would wear it in a group picture but then I have to find a group of people what do you think the odds are of me getting Sasha, Tina, and Allison as a group of people? The bandana was to hold back Tina’s hair I was familiar with the concept of a bandana. Tina was working until 9:30 tonight so I could not take her to dinner tonight

Since I like Tina I just kept going on the vortex. I went on it a total of 7x in a row and then it was time for me to go as the stair count moved to 1,820 and 58,880 for the year which leaves me 49,120 away from my 108,000 stair goal. On the way out I stopped to chat with Kara who was back at lemonade and that is good. We don’t know where Bobby is as I haven’t seen him in awhile and neither has she. Mike came along and he was going to wave pool river. I would take his picture even though it was cloudy today. I’ll try on another day. It would be good if I could take a picture with Mike and Ashley and Mike and Tina because then most likely I will have both the male and female lifeguard of the year according to me in one picture. Of course I can still change my mind you just never know.

When I left the park the ones had it as it was 1:11 p.m. and 76 degrees. Tomorrow probably for the only time on a Friday this year I return around opening time which is 10 a.m. The park will remain open until 6:00 p.m. as it does every day. Come on out. I’ll see you there.
