Day # 2 (of 12) of Mark T's Second Annual "Say Goodbye to July" Sunday July 21, 2002

Shakes are on sale at Dairy Queen. You can get a medium one for $1.99. If you can’t wait to have a shake stop by Milo’s Sweet Shop located near the dragon and they will be more than happy to make you one. It certainly was hot today and if I wasn’t at the beginning of Mark T’s second annual “Say Goodbye to July” I would have declared it was to hot to be at the waterpark for the one and only Mark T. I arrived at 9:59 a.m. the temperature was 84 degrees. It wasn’t the heat but the humidity which made stair climbing very difficult.

I started the day at the storm and made my way on my usual pattern it was something to see that Katie was at the top of the cyclone. She was sorry she wasn’t Ashley but this was the beginning of the day so everything was looking a-ok. I went on the storm a total of 12x in a row not once having to break pattern. The stair count went to 768. Next, I went over to the dragon. The line on the curved slide was shorter so I went on that 2x making the stair count 956. Next, I went over to my favorite ride in the whole park Whitewater run and as I waited boy could I feel the sun. I felt it just burning and it was so hot. The water over at whitewater is the coolest in the park so it really felt good and with that I went right up to 1,000 stairs climbed. I saw a break in the abyss so I went on that once and that was 1,064 and I wondered could I climb any more.

It was time for “Mark walks around the park” and with it being so hot today had to make this go quickly. Megan was right back at the gate after calling bingo last night people were pouring in. Lauren was there too. I stopped by the café and it was Jacqueline’s last day before she goes on vacation, comes back and then goes on vacation again. Over at taco it was just Rebecca and Emily they were in pain from some piercing. Rebecca got her tongue pierced and Emily got her belly button pierced I like that. It was kind of slow in taco but eventually a group came and spilled a 44 ounce drink and it looked as if Emily had never used a mop before. It was quite the mess but it got cleaned up. It was a comfortable 74 degrees in taco but they were out of shredded cheese.

Tomorrow I will actually have some tacos but not from Taco at Deep River Waterpark even with me willing to admit that I live in a strange world tomorrow night my sisters are coming around 6:00 for the strangest thing I ever heard of and I don’t know why they are both coming but after that we will be going to have some tacos at the Pepes. However, before that if weather permits tomorrow is day # 3 of 12 of Mark T’s second annual “Say Goodbye July” and hopefully it won’t be like this or it could easily be the first defeat in 2002 for Mark T. The stair count goes to 53,378 so I should hit the half way point tomorrow. I left the park at 12:38 p.m. The temperature was a blistering 96 degrees. If you need to beat the heat come on out to Indiana’s Premiere Waterpark deep River Waterpark of course. I’ll see you there.
