It was 10:03 and a very beautiful 80 degrees when your host returned to Indiana’s Premiere Waterpark which is located just 4 miles east of I-65 on US 30 in beautiful Lake County Indiana. Oh what a beautiful day it would turn out to be even if it were embroiled in controversy. I began the day at the dragon first on the steep slide and then on the curved slide. It quickly made the stair count 188
It is good to have a base and then I went to the storm and started off with the vortex. Kristen was up there I think she has a good chance to win the 2002 Female Rookie Lifeguard of the year award from the one and only Mark T. I went to the vortex and to the abyss and then to the cyclone and there was Charles he is the favorite to wine the 2002 Male Rookie lifeguard of the year award so it was some storm ride set up this morning. I went on it in all 9x in a row each slide got ridden 3x there were no problems everything went very smoothly. The stair count went to 764. I then went to the dragon and went on the steep slide followed by the curved slide which made the stair count 952 so I was very close to winning my 1,000 stair game again.
I decided to take the opportunity to go on my favorite ride whitewater run. The first time it only brought the stair count up to 996. Do you think Corey should win best hair which is one of the most coveted awards that I give away. Without Heather’s hairstyles to defend the award must go to someone and who will that be. You know Corey was nice enough to cut off 8 inches of her hair and donate them to make wigs for children with cancer. She does have some very beautiful hair and made some kid happy I am sure. If I could grow my hair long I’d donate my oh so beautiful hair but it doesn’t grow long only thick. So should I go with Corey or will she be a runner up to someone like the oh so beautiful Allison who has such beautiful blonde hair or will I say the highlights take the show and go with Ashley the lead the best hair or will there be a dark horse and everyone find out how partial I am to pigtails and maybe I’ll find out that girl’s name who has her hair in braided pigtails everyday I see her. That comes sometime during Mark T’s second annual say goodbye to July which begins July 20, 2002 and lasts 12 count them 12 days (weather permitting) It seems it is time to bring the camera out and see what shots I can get.
Corey is losing her hair and coughing and she already has a bad heart so she might be dying. I told her that was ok apparently she is not like me and not willing to die so I am sure we all hope she is ok. Personally, everyone has to die sometime and I am at peace with the world so whenever the time comes so be it. Corey has to go back to school early for football but she is not a kicker like she tried to say otherwise I’d try to get her to play soccer how about that world cup soccer. It seems Americans are ok with ties with that All Star game so in soccer there are a lot of ties.
The stair count went up to 1,040. I decided that was a good time for a break so I went into the Lazy River and there was the oh so beautiful Allison wow is she pretty. She would shortly be on her way but she pointed out that I had some new shorts on today and she said she liked them and with a compliment from such a beautiful girl then I died no wait that didn’t happen but I could have and that would have been ok because how could life get any better than that. Well it was nice to watch her walk through the water with her clear bag held up high. I am lucky it wasn’t to much beauty for me but it came close. I went around the river and there was Tina and guess what it was her last spot well before her break at noon anyway. Tina was not hot enough to be splashed yet today everyone knows Tina is my favorite lifeguard to splash it is just so much fun
After the river I went back to the storm I rode the abyss 4 time and once I got on the cyclone. It was then time for “Mark Walks Around The Park” Jimmy was near on that tractor they were quickly getting the garbage collected he had a passenger or it probably would be fun to ride with him maybe he could hook me up with his sister. I’d like that. Anyway the stair count was on 1,360 who knew how many more I would climb today. I walked around and did ended up in Pizza and it was pretty busy in there today. Why would anyone think I am related to Ann she is taller than me like 6’ 2” I am told by her I am 5’9” and afraid of most people taller than me especially females but Ann is ok. Kim was in there and soon Johnathan who apparently is known as Pepito. I was convinced that I should try some pizza today since I come in to see what is happening.
I had to go to the car to get the yardtree. Have you gotten yours yet refills only $1.10 plus tax. I got it out of the car and got it filled with rootbeer and they were very concerned that the lid did not stay on. Apparently on a working yardtree it does. I thought this was a bit rough carrying it with 2 hands and I didn’t want to take it in the car because I thought it would spill. They tried some lids and came to the conclusion I had a defective yardtree now how about that. The man who promotes yardtrees having one that the lid won’t stay on. Well they really took care of me in Pizza and Kim and Ann replaced the yardtree for me. Now I can shake it up and everything and use only one hand. I had a piece of cheese pizza it was $2.10 and I got to say you know I am very picky so when I say something is very good it takes a lot. I say the pizza was very good and I liked it a lot.
I continued my walk around the park with the yardtree. Now I only needed one hand. Did you know that Katie turns 18 tomorrow unfortunately she is not working or she would love to be thrown in the wave pool. Katie let down her hair and it is very nice I must say. Katie at the beginning wanted to know if she would be the lifeguard of the year. Now is the time to lobby before the decision is made but I don’t think so since I have already put up 4 contenders. Katie thinks I am going to go with Tina because she is my favorite. I am surprised by this since I believe that the early line favorite to win is Ashley because that girl can run a slide. You can never write off anyone that returns to defend and so what about Kate who is probably the friendliest person in the whole park. Then you know some guys they will do anything for a girl that is oh so beautiful so you can not rule out the oh so beautiful Allison. Kate and Ashley came along and why is it Ashley the lead is not up for consideration I may have to go with a top 10 and she would probably be in that but her hair which is very beautiful had some highlights in when my sister lost her glasses and Kate had to come to the rescue. The consensus was with Allison’s so beautiful blonde hair she probably wouldn’t have dove for the glasses either but she wasn’t there so we will never know and I sure won’t hold it against her.
I went on the abyss one more time making the stair count 1,424 for the day and it seemed the crowd was in full force. It had been a Totally Terrific day and an Oh so beautiful one so how could ask for anything more. The stair count goes to 46,916. On the way out I saw Kara at Chills this is the second day in a row she was there. She prefers lemonade but she must have done such a good job there yesterday that they put her right back at that cart. If it is not to hot and it might just be I return tomorrow around 4 or so. If not I’ll be back for tubin Tuesday # 6 of 10 when you can get in the park for $7.00 after 6:00 p.m. The park stays open until 9:30 p.m. Come earlier and it is like getting 3.5 hours for free. Then on Wednesday hopefully I’ll get to see Melissa as I make my way through Group sales at 5:00 have to make sure I get that wristband on Wednesday night as I spend 2 nights in a row. On Thursday July 18 it is my father’s birthday so we celebrate all day so I will be watching the horses race. On Friday July 19 will Mark T’s second annual say goodbye to July start early or will it begin on Saturday July 20. We will see. Deep River Waterpark is open from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily come on out and have a splashtastic time and if you come in July odds are very likely I’ll see you there.
