After spending a long 3 days away your host finally returned to Indiana’s Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course which is located just 4 miles east of I-65 on US 30 in beautiful Lake County Indiana. We are now in the final stretch as after today only 20 days remain in the 2002 Season. You know some people have said that I must be as old as dirt and I have no business at an attraction, which is primarily for young people, and there are others that have pointed out that I obviously have a weight problem and then there are still others that just don’t like me for whatever reason. Some days I would like to see those people try to keep up with me.
Today just for fun I went on the dragon. I began 2x on the steep slide and then repeated that on the curved slide. I tried to pass Ashley but she kept backing up at the bottom of the dragon. I repeated this exact pattern 5 more times and then I went once on the steep slide followed by the curve slide so in the end I rode the dragon 22x in a row. Meanwhile numerous people have to huff and puff just to get to the top once. During rides 10-13 there was a line that was maybe 6 people deep at most. Then the last two rides got maybe up to 10 the other times it was up the stairs and right down the slide and then I got right back up and went down again. Jake was the second lifeguard up today after the first one went away he hung is hat in an odd fashion.
In all that was 2,068 stairs climbed and it was at an even faster pace that 1,000 stairs per hour. Next, I went to the abyss, cyclone and abyss making the stair count 2,260. Next it was time for “Mark walks around the park” It was a quick walk today. I saw Megan she was going to the front gate and then in Pizza Anne made a nice arrangement of Yardtrees I like that they had sold the previous box because everyone wants a yardtree to take with them. If you come back you can even get it refilled and it is quite the bargain. It is $3.67 which includes tax to buy a yard tree although in pizza they refer to them as palm trees.
Well who could it be buy my own sister looking for me now where was Corey? We went on my favorite ride whitewater run and then we went 3x on the cyclone and Jake had made his way up there and that was trouble for sure. The stair count went up to 2,496 which isn’t bad for one day and it makes it 69,884 and leaves me 38,116 stairs away from 108,000 stairs do you think with 20 days remaining I can make it or will I just have to try again next year? You will just have to wait and see. Remember 20 days left to enjoy Deep River Waterpark in 2002 so come on out and have a splashtastic time before it’s to late. I’ll see you there.
