This waterpark will be open from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. during the next 3 weeks and will be open on weekends from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. through and including September 8, 2002. In 2003 will Splash Station Waterpark be where to find Mark T. For that you will have to wait and see but my sister and I are scheduled to appear there on Thursday August 29, 2002 weather permitting. In my personal life it is definitely time for �The Dawn of a Whole New Era� will the new era mean a new waterpark?
I arrived at 10:03 a.m. the temperature was 82 degrees and there was not much of a crowd on hand in fact all the folks that were there had already been let into the park. I started the day at the storm and Mike the 2001 Co Male Lifeguard of the year and 2002 Exclusive Male Lifeguard of the year was at the top and that was it all 3 slides were his to run this morning and boy did he do a super terrific job going from slide to slide and no one picked just on slide so as time went by he just kept going on all 3 and that was great to see. I did my usual pattern and that was a total of 10 times the stair count went to 640.
Next, I rode the curved slide of the dragon 2x it was kind of muddy over there as there appeared to be like a landslide of mud that made its way onto the sidewalk. I didn�t like that. I then went on the open body slide there behind me was Brittany with her boyfriend who I think she was buffing up because he needed a tan and I think that was the plan. I went down the open body slide and the stair count went up to 828 and then I went into the Lazy River and I have seen a lot of disturbing things and heaven knows I am not happy about the rudeness of so many guards in the sand this year but in the lazy river there was something that absolutely disgusted me. You know I have a few fears telephones, the #5, telling any girl I like that I actually like them and that is about it. My mother has a fear that I know of and this would have scared her to death. I could not believe my eyes. I got in at the family pool and saw Ashley and then shortly afterwards this happened and I got out the first exit I could find and I watched to see that this was reality and it was. I had to stop myself from vomiting.
I feel that I should get a season pass in 2003 for free for this that I had to see. I went on my favorite ride the tube slide and at the top was Sasha and she asked me how I was and I told her awful and exactly why. I went down the tube slide once since it is my favorite ride and that made the stair count 872 and then I wanted to get as far away from the Lazy River as possible so I went on the dragon. I went on the curve slide 2x and then I had won again my 1,000 stair game with 1,060 stairs climbed. I went to the storm and started at the cyclone and then the abyss and then the cyclone and Sasha told me that they had taken care of the problem that bothered me earlier and it is a good thing she told me that or at Deep River Waterpark you probably would very well never again see the one and only Mark T.
I at least felt better so could continue climbing stairs although I wish I could get this image out of my mind who knows if I ever will. In all I went on the storm 10 more times mostly on the cyclone and the stair count for the day went to 1,700 and for the year goes to 79,516. I left the part at 12:08 p.m. skies were gray and there was a good bye from Kristy she is new in Guest Services this year should we name her the guest service gal of the year? The temperature was now 80 degrees and I could pretty much guarantee that it is going to thunderstorm probably tonight because when I visit my parents I go to St. Mary�s Catholic Church in Crown Point and they have a buyout tonight and you could use your tickets from last year for this years event which was canceled due to inclement weather. Whenever they have that it always seems to be bad weather. Remember if you don�t get out to Deep River Waterpark tomorrow you will have to wait until next Saturday because the park is only open on weekends through Labor Day September 2, 2002 you don�t want to miss this. I�ll see you there.
