| a forest fire caused a massive detour on our way to bakersfield, the first leg of our trip. it took us over seven hours to travel what normally takes us less than three. it was such a traumatic drive that i have completely blocked it from my memory. although we have no photographic records of visiting bakersfield, we did have a grand time with ken+theresa. we swam around all afternoon and had fantatic bbq ribs for dinner. we recovered our travelling spirit in no time. |
