Savoury Crumble
Ingredients

8oz minced beef
1 onion
1 Oxo cube
1 oz flour
1/3 pint water
Salt & pepper
4oz plain flour
2 oz margarine
2oz grated cheese (OR � teaspoon dried mixed herbs)

  • Dice onion.
  • Put in pan with meat and fry for 3 minutes.
  • Add the 1oz flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add salt & pepper, oxo cube and water. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Rub the margarine, flour, cheese/herbs into each other.
  • Put meat into ovenproof dish, sprinkle crumble on top.
  • Bake at 375°F / 190°C for 30-40 minutes.

Grainger Pudding
Ingredients

2oz ground rice
1 pint milk
2oz margarine
2oz sugar
2oz drinking chocolate
1 teaspoon almond essence
Apricot jam
Coconut or blanched almonds
  • Mix first 5 ingredients together and bring �slowly-ish� to the boil.
  • Add almond essence.
  • Serve with jam and coconut or almonds.
