Nikitha Inc is a privately owned Indian Company involved in marketing of silicon and other contruction materials. It entered Aluminium field in 1997. Its main job involved to take labour contract for assembly, glazing and installation of curtain wall.

I commenced employment with Nikitha Inc. as a survey engineer during my 2 + years with Nikitha Inc. I was promoted through several stages to my final position of Site Incharge.

SURVEY ENGINEER

Duties & Responsibilities

                    Overall survey of the building to find out building parameters to design the curtain wall system.

To prepare drawing and reports of survey.

Check the vertical and horizontal dimensions of building.

Mark the layout plan on site for brackets, windows etc. in accordance with drawing.

Co-ordination with civil contractor to make the building according to curtain wall requirements.

Co-ordination with factory for site measurements.
 
 

 I was promoted to Factory Supervisor on basis of survey experience and my drawing skills. My duties included that of survey engineer with additional responsibilities.

FACTORY SUPERVISOR

Duties & Responsibilities

Taking account of incoming material.

Staking of materials according to priority.

Planning the factory production to suit the site requirements.

Planning for labour strength.

Check on quality after fabrication and glazing.

Co-ordination with site staff.
 

I was promoted to installation supervisor, beside my performance as Factory Supervisor. Some more duties are added.

INSTALLATION SUPERVISOR

Duties & Responsibilities

Check on quality of panel, which are come out of factory.

Plan the installation method and sequence according to priority.

Quality check on installation.

Take care of safety of labours.

Co-ordination with factory.

S. P. Fabricators ltd. is one of the Shapoorji Pallonji group of companies which is involved in designing, fabrication and installation of curtain wall, with a technical collaboration with SCHMIDLIN and PPG.

Initially I was invited to join the company because of my experience in site and factory works, drawing skills. I joined the company as site Engineer.

SITE ENGINEER

 Study the drawing and plan the practical site installation and co-ordination with design department. The overall site planning.

Attend the sites and co-ordination meeting.

Co-ordination with factory for site requirements.

Plan the labour, equipments & tools for sites.

Quality check on all site works.

Permisa ECIE is the joint venture company of Permasteelisa and ECIE

ECIE is a alocal privately owned Indian company which has been in the Aluminium fabrication industry for the last 30 years. Their main area of competancy is windows, Curtain walls (Stick and Unitised), cladding, doors, skylights, Internal partitions, canopy.

I was asked to join the company due to my previous work experience

in the aluminium industry

 SITE ENGINEER  
Duties & Responsibilities

Co-ordinate preparation of drawings for architectural approval.

Site survey, including reports for preparation of fabrication drawings.

Brackets set-outs for installation.

Take-off for site required materials including equipments and

manpower.

Co- ordinate factory despatches to suite site priority requirements.

Overall incharge of installation, sequencing and progress, including

Quality, manpower, labour force and ensuring their well being and

safety.

Responsible to get running bills approved.

Attend regular co-ordinational / technical meetings with architects/civil contractors/clients.
 
SUMMARY
